Since its invention,holography has been mostly applied at visible wavelengths in a variety of ***,non-destructive testing of manufactured objects was a driver for developing holographic methods and all related ones based on the speckle pattern *** substantial limitation of holographic non-destructive testing is the setup stability requirements directly related to the laser *** observation has driven some works for 15 years:developing holography at wavelengths much longer than visible *** this paper,we will first review researches carried out in the infrared,mostly digital holography at thermal infrared wavelengths around 10 *** will discuss the advantages of using such wavelengths and show different examples of *** nondestructive testing,large wavelengths allow using digital holography in perturbed environments on large objects and measure large deformations,typical of the aerospace *** astonishing applications such as reconstructing scenes through smoke and flames were *** moving further in the spectrum,digital holography with so-called Terahertz waves(up to 3 millimeters wavelength)has also been *** main advantage here is that these waves easily penetrate some ***,one can envisage Terahertz digital holography to reconstruct the amplitude and phase of visually opaque *** review some cases in which Terahertz digital holography has shown potential in biomedical and industrial *** will also address some fundamental bottlenecks that prevent fully benefiting from the advantages of digital holography when increasing the wavelength.

Because of its simplicity,reliability,and replicability,the Masquelet induced membrane technique(IMT)has become one of the preferred methods for critical bone defect reconstruction in *** it is now used worldwide,few studies have been published about IMT in military *** reconstruction is particularly challenging in this context of care due to extensive soft-tissue injury,early wound infection,and even delayed management in austere *** on our clinical expertise,recent research,and a literature analysis,this narrative review provides an overview of the IMT application to combat-related bone *** presents technical specificities and future developments aiming to optimize IMT outcomes,including for the management of massive multi-tissue defects or bone reconstruction performed in the field with limited resources.

Objective:To investigate anti-multidrug resistance(MDR)activity and safety of the bioactive fraction(CL11)from Codiaeum luzonicum crude leaf ***:Cytotoxic activity of CL11 against MDR and nonresistant colon cancer cells was assessed using MTT *** of cell death was investigated by annexin V-propidium iodide staining,TUNEL,and JC-1 *** examine mechanism of action,the effect on the expression and function of the MDR-implicated protein P-glycoprotein was tested using Western blotting and calcein assay,***:CL11 had an EC50 of 0.18,1.03 and 38.52µg/mL against HCT-15,HCT-15/Dox and HCT116,*** was mediated by inhibition of P-glycoprotein function and *** mode of cell death involved mitochondrial membrane depolarization and was mostly non-apoptotic at EC50 concentrations against HCT-15 and HCT-15/***:Fraction CL11 of Codiaeum luzonicum induces nonapoptotic cell death in MDR cancer cells by overcoming MDR through inhibition of P-glycoprotein expression and function.

Detecting methanol is of great importance in the organic synthesis ***,the effective utilization of ZnSnO_(3)-based microstructures for room-temperature methanol monitoring was realized through a template-free ***_(3)-based heterojunctions with different structures and morphologies were successfully synthesized via regulating the molar ratio of Zn2+and Sn4+*** room-temperature sensing properties towards methanol were *** them,ZnO/ZnSnO_(3) hollow microcubes exhibited an outstanding sensing performance including a high sensitivity(10.16)and a response/recovery time(14/75 s)and a limit of detection(490×10^(-9))towards 5×10^(-6)***,the synergistic effects of hollow structure with larger specific surface areas(42.277 m^(2)·g^(-1)),the construction of n-n heterojunctions formed at ZnSnO_(3) and ZnO interfaces,the high percentage of dissociative and chemisorbed oxygen are the main causes of the elevated sensing ***,the practical experiment demonstrated that ZnO/ZnSnO_(3) was capable of on-field monitoring methanol in the chemical reaction utilizing H_(2) and CO_(2) as raw ***,with the help of density functional theory calculations,the enhanced sensing properties of ZnO/ZnSnO_(3) are due to the special tuning effects of Zn ionic sites on methanol adsorption.

Considering only the wave aspect, we determine the energy of a bond between 2 nucleons;this quantified energy is associated with a standing wave. Then, starting from the mass loss corresponding to this energy, we determine the number of bonds in this nucleus. The mass defect value for a link is used to determine a specific length at that link. Fixing a precise distance between nucleons makes it possible to determine a geometry of the nucleus and its dimensions. It makes it possible to understand when this bond is stronger than the electrostatic force and allows deducing a shell model built in a precise order. The calculation on the mass defect will also make it possible to determine that one or more nucleons concerned by the radioactivity will be bound by a single bond to the rest of the nucleus or, on the contrary, bound by several bonds which induce short 1/2 lives or, on the contrary, very long. The analysis of the bonds on H, He and C make it possible to write formulae which are then applied to the nuclei to find the radioactive 1/2 lives. To find by equations the radioactive 1/2 lives does not call into question the standard model since it concerns only the defect of mass of the nuclei with energies that are not used to find the main particles of the standard model. This model, which favours a geometric approach to the detriment of a mathematical approach based on differential equations, can lead to theoretical questions about the possibility of interpreting the structure of the nucleus in a more undulatory way. It is possible to explain radioactivity in a more deterministic way.

Medicago truncatula is a model legume species that has been studied for decades to understand the symbiotic relationship between legumes and soil bacteria collectively named *** symbiosis called nodulation is initiated in roots with the infection of root hair cells by the bacteria,as well as the initiation of nodule primordia from root cortical,endodermal,and pericycle cells,leading to the development of a new root organ,the nodule,where bacteria fix and assimilate the atmospheric dinitrogen for the benefit of the ***,we report the isolation and use of the nuclei from mock and rhizobia-inoculated roots for the single nuclei RNA-seq(sNucRNA-seq)profiling to gain a deeper understanding of early responses to rhizobial infection in Medicago roots.A gene expression map of the Medicago root was generated,comprising 25 clusters,which were annotated as specific cell types using 119 Medicago marker genes and orthologs to Arabidopsis cell-type marker genes.A focus on root hair,cortex,endodermis,and pericycle cell types,showing the strongest differential regulation in response to a short-term(48 h)rhizobium inoculation,revealed not only known genes and functional pathways,validating the sNucRNA-seq approach,but also numerous novel genes and pathways,allowing a comprehensive analysis of early root symbiotic responses at a cell type-specific level.

Arc decomposition behavior of C_(4)F_(7)N/Air gas mixture and biosafety evaluation of its by-products

At present,reports on the arc interruption and decomposition behavior of a C_(4)F_(7)N/air gas mixture especially the biosafety of its by-products are ***,a 57%C_(4)F_(7)N/43%air gas mixture was employed as an arc-quenching medium to conduct 200 breaking tests on a load switch(630 A/24 kV).The arc interruption and decomposition behavior of the gas mixture were evaluated,and the biosafety of the decomposition products was assessed based on an acute inhalation toxicity *** was found that the average arcing time of the 200 breakings was about 10.1 ms and that breakings were basically completed at the zero-crossing of the second or third current *** gas mixture after breaking decomposed dramatically(the C_(4)F_(7)N content decreased by 75.6%),generating a large number of gaseous by-products(CO,CF_(4),C_(2)F_(6),C_(3)F_(8),CF_(3)CN,C_(4)F_(8),CO_(2),C_(4)F_(10)N_(2),C_(3)F_(6),C_(2)N_(2),etc.)as well as solid by-products(carbon particles).The lethal concentration of 50%(LC50,4 h)of C_(4)F_(7)N/air after 200 breakings was 31 ppm(male mice)and 34 ppm(female mice),respectively,and the toxicity was classified as Grade *** general,C_(4)F_(7)N has an arc interruption capability,albeit weaker than that of SF_(6)under the same *** breaking,the C_(4)F_(7)N gas mixture has a relatively high acute inhalation toxicity,and relevant safety protection measures for research or operation personnel are strictly needed.
