Laszlo Marton＇s Three Short Novels as a Translational Challenge

This paper deals with the problems encountered while translating the book of short novels M. L., a gyilkos （The Murderer L. M.）, written by the contemporary Hungarian author Lazlo Marton （b. 1959）. One of the most important reasons why the translator of this book （who also happens to be the author of this paper） has chosen to translate into Serbian this particular book, and not some other, more famous work of Marton, lies in the thematic, geocultural, and historical parallels with the Serbian context, which form the main fabular line of these short stories. The other, from the perspective of this paper, even more relevant reason for this translational choice can be found in the non-everyday challenge that Marton＇s hardly translatable style and language pose to the translator. This kind of a situation almost requires that the translator sacrifices formal fidelity to the original text and tries to find more creative solutions; in other words, it suggests choosing the principle of the so-called dynamic equivalence over the formal equivalence principle. In this respect, a special problem is the need to translate the so-called ＂talking names＂, a narrative trick with a great tradition in Hungarian literature. The aim of this paper is to try to answer, with the use of a representative corpus of examples, the following question： Is it possible and where can we draw limits in this author-translation related field of play, and what should be the level of consistency allowed to the translator, i.e., to what extent can he/she become the ＂coauthor＂of the translated work？

In this contribution we discuss the stability of thin, axi-symmetric, shallow bimetallic shells in a non-homo- geneous temperature field. The presented model with a mathematical description of the geometry of the system, displacements, stresses and thermoelastic deformations on the shell, is based on the theory of the third order, which takes into account not only the equilibrium of forces on a deformed body but also the non-linear terms of the strain tensor. The equations are based on the large displacements theory. As an example, we pre- sent the results for a bimetallic shell of parabolic shape, which has a temperature point load at the apex. We translated the boundary-value problem with the shooting method into saving the initial-value problem. We calculate the snap-through of the system numerically by the Runge-Kutta fourth order method.

Abstract:Fog computing provides quality of service for cloud *** the data computation intensifies,edge computing becomes ***,mobile fog computing is used for reducing traffic and the time for data computation in the *** previous studies,software-defined networking(SDN)and network functions virtualization(NFV)were used separately in edge *** industrial and academic research is tackling to integrate SDN and NFV in different environments to address the challenges in performance,reliability,and ***/NFV is still in *** traditional Internet of things(IoT)data analysis system is only based on a linear and time-variant system that needs an IoT data system with a high-precision *** paper proposes a combined architecture of SDN and NFV on an edge node server for IoT devices to reduce the computational complexity in cloud-based fog *** provides a generalization structure of the forwarding plane,which is separated from the control ***,NFV concentrates on virtualization by combining the forwarding model with virtual network functions(VNFs)as a single or chain of VNFs,which leads to interoperability and *** orchestrator layer in the proposed software-defined NFV is responsible for handling real-time tasks by using an edge node server through the SDN controller via four actions:task creation,modification,operation,and *** proposed architecture is simulated on the EstiNet simulator,and total time delay,reliability,and satisfaction are used as evaluation *** simulation results are compared with the results of existing architectures,such as software-defined unified virtual monitoring function and ASTP,to analyze the performance of the proposed *** analysis results indicate that our proposed architecture achieves better performance in terms of total time delay(1800 s for 200 IoT devices),reliability(90%),and satisfaction(90%).

The digestive system is one of the most common sites of malignancies in *** gastrointestinal tumors represent a massive global health burden both in terms of morbidity and health care expenditures,scientists continuously develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic methods to ameliorate the detrimental effects of this group of *** from the well-established role of the endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)in the diagnostic course of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies,we have recently become acquainted with a vast array of its therapeutic possibilities.A multitude of previously established,evidence-based methods that might now be guided by the EUS emerged:Radiofrequency ablation,brachytherapy,fine needle injection,celiac plexus neurolysis,and endoscopic submucosal *** this review we endeavored to provide a comprehensive overview of the role of these methods in different malignancies of the digestive system,primarily in the treatment and symptom control in pancreatic cancer,and additionally in the management of hepatic,gastrointestinal tumors,and pancreatic cysts.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has, although it is a very common disorder, only relatively recently gained broader interest among physicians and scientists. Fatty liver has been documented in up to 10 to 15 percent of normal individuals and 70 to 80 percent of obese individuals. Although the pathophysiology of NAFLD is still subject to intensive research, several players and mechanisms have been suggested based on the substantial evidence. Excessive hepatocyte triglyceride accumulation resulting from insulin resistance is the first step in the proposed 'two hit' model of the pathogenesis of NAFLD. Oxidative stress resulting from mitochondrial fatty acids oxidation, NF-κB-dependent inflammatory cytokine expression and adipocytokines are all considered to be the potential factors causing second hits which lead to hepatocyte injury, inflammation and fibrosis. Although it was initially believed that NAFLD is a completely benign disorder, histologic follow-up studies have showed that fibrosis progression occurs in about a third of patients. A small number of patients with NAFLD eventually ends up with end-stage liver disease and even hepatocellular carcinoma. Although liver biopsy is currently the only way to confirm the NAFLD diagnosis and distinguish between fatty liver alone and NASH, no guidelines or firm recommendations can still be made as for when and in whom it is necessary. Increased physical activity, gradual weight reduction and in selected cases bariatric surgery remain the mainstay of NAFLD therapy. Studies with pharmacologic agents are showing promising results, but available data are still insufficient to make specific recommendations; their use therefore remains highly individual.

Cellulose structure and lignin distribution in normal and compression wood of the Maidenhair tree(Ginkgo biloba L.)

We studied in detail the mean micro fibril angle and the width of cellulose crystals from the pith to the bark of a 15-year-old Maidenhair tree（Ginkgo biloba L.）. The orientation of cellulose micro fibrils with respect to the cell axis and the width and length of cellulose crystallites were determined using Xray diffraction. Raman microscopy was used to compare the lignin distribution in the cell wall of normal/opposite and compression wood, which was found near the pith. Ginkgo biloba showed a relatively large mean micro fibril angle,varying between 19° and 39° in the S2 layer, and the average width of cellulose crystallites was 3.1–3.2 nm. Mild compression wood without any intercellular spaces or helical cavities was observed near the pith. Slit-like bordered pit openings and a heavily lignified S2 L layer con firmed the presence of compression wood. Ginkgo biloba showed typical features present in the juvenile wood of conifers. The micro fibril angle remained large over the 14 annual rings. The entire stem disc,with a diameter of 18 cm, was considered to consist of juvenile wood. The properties of juvenile and compression wood as well as the cellulose orientation and crystalline width indicate that the wood formation of G. biloba is similar to that of modern conifers.

Through the observation and analysis of the motion trajectory of spiral winding motion for slender legless biological creatures in water,V-REP software is adopted to build a dynamic simulator to study on the mechanism of spiral winding swimming(SWS)*** using the output of spiral function(SF),the dynamic simulation model of slender legless creature(SLC)realizes the SWS motion in *** corresponding experiments under the control of different bending angle of SF to control the dynamic model are also carried out to analyze the water performance of SWS in still *** with the output of two different bending angles of the spiral function,the dynamic model can be used to realize SWS and up/down *** work provides technical reserve and experimental platform for the corresponding study in related fields.
