Structure, Thermal Behavior and Characterization of a New Hybrid Iron Fluoride FeF4（2,2′-bipyridine）（H2O）2

New crystal of FeF4（2,2′-bipyridine）（H2O）2 was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. Crystalline structure determination is performed from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. The unit cell is monoclinic space group P21/n, with cell parameters a=0.9046（5） nm, b=0.7502（5） nm, c=1.9539（5） nm,β=93.307（5）°, V=1.3238（12） nm^3 and Z=4. The structure of FeF4（2,2＇-bipyridine）（H2O）2 is built up from FeF4N2 octahedra coordinated by two nitrogen atoms of the 2,2＇-bipyridine molecules, and four fluorine atoms as well as uncoordinated H2O molecules. Thermal analysis of the title compound showed that the decomposition introduced four steps. IR spectra confirmed the presence of 2,2＇-bipyridine molecules. The optical absorption was measured at the corresponding 2max using UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectrum.

Hemispherical asymmetry in core dynamics induces degree-1 pressure variations at the core mantle boundary （CMB）, which in turn deforms the overlaying elastic mantle, at the same time keeps center of mass of the whole Earth stationary in space. We develop a systematic procedure to deal with the degree-1 CMB pressure loading. We find by direct calculation a surprisingly negative load Love number h1=-1.425 for vertical displacement. Further analysis indicates that the negative hi corre- sponds to thickening above the positive load that defies intuition that pressure inflation pushes over- laying material up and thins the enveloping shell. We also redefine the pressure load Love numbers in general to enable comparison between the surface mass load and the CMB pressure load for the whole spectrum of harmonic degrees. We find that the gravitational perturbations from the two kinds of loads at degrees n〉l are very similar in amplitude but opposite in sign. In particular, if the CMB pressure variation at degree 2 is at the level of -1 hpa/yr （1 cm water height per year）, it would perturb the variation of Earth＇s oblateness, known as the J2, at the observed level.

Prostate cancer （PCa） remains a principal cause ofmortalityin developed *** no clinical interventions overcome resistance to androgen ablation therapy, management of castration resistance and metastatic disease remains largely untreatable. Metastasis is a multistep process in which tumor cells lose cell-cell contacts, egress from the primary tumor, intravasate, survive shear stress within the vasculature and extravasate into tissues to colonize ectopic sites. Tumor ceils reestablish migratory behaviors employed during nonneoplastic processes such as embryonic development, leukocyte trafficking and wound healing. While mesenchymal motility is an established paradigm of dissemination, an alternate, ＇amoeboid＇ phenotype is increasingly appreciated as relevant to human cancer.

AIM To analyze liver tests before and following treatment with herbal Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in order to evaluate the frequency of newly detected liver *** Patients with normal values of alanine aminotransferase(ALT) as a diagnostic marker for ruling out pre-existing liver disease were enrolled in a prospective study of a safety program carried out at the First German Hospital of TCM from 1994 to 2015. All patients received herbal products, and their ALT values were reassessed 1-3 d prior to discharge. To verify or exclude causality for suspected TCM herbs, the Roussel Uclaf Causality Assessment Method(RUCAM) was *** This report presents for the first time liver injury data derived from a prospective, hospital-based and largescale study of 21470 patients who had no liver disease prior to treatment with herbal TCM. Among these, ALT ranged from 1 × to usality for TCM herbs was RUCAM-based probable in 8/26 patients, possible in 16/26, and excluded in 2/26 cases. Bupleuri radix and Scutellariae radix were the two TCM herbs most commonly implicated. CONCLusION In 26(0.12%) of 21470 patients treated with herbal TCM, liver injury with ALT values of ≥ 5 × ULN was found, which normalized shortly following treatment cessation, also substantiating causality.

Since the discovery of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in treatment of lung cancer harboring such actionable targets, many lives have been prolonged. To the same extent, same group of patients have failed to benefit from this category of drugs, in long run, either initially or during the course of treatments, simply due to either known or unknown mechanism of resistance which occurs very often in the first few months after initiation of therapy. The resistance is 100 percent expected, and no patient is reported to be a waiver of such pattern. With best practices of oncology, the average duration of response is expected to be below 12 months [1]. About half of the resistance is caused by mutation at T790M in EGFR target, which can be revealed by liquid biopsy [1] [2]. The most recent studies have revealed the significant role of epigenome in controlling this complicated resistance pattern. We have learned that Histone deacetylation, as opposed to promoter methylation, may contribute to the epigenetic silencing and to EGFR TKI resistance in NSCLC [3] [4]. Here we present a case study with a model of combinational therapy that targets the EGFR molecule, (by small molecule inhibitor, Afatanib) with simultaneous epigenetic modification of the target, (by application of multitargeted epigenetic therapy (MTET) with significantly improved clinical results. We propose further trials are needed to support such hypothesis, which if proved, could significantly shift the current practices in management of this set of cases in lung adenocarcinomas.

Consumption and species preference for house construction wood in central highlands of Ethiopia–implications for enhancing tree growing

A study was conducted in central Ethiopian highland in 2008 to investigate the consumption of house construction wood, the tree species preference for construction wood and the forthcoming conditions of this forest product and possible strategies for future availability. Twenty-four iron-roofed houses and twenty-eight thatch-roofed houses belonging to thirty-six farm households were investigated for types, volumes and sources of construction wood used. It was found that an average farmhouse with a floor space of 57 m^2 consumed about 13.7 m^3 of wood. Both floor space and wood consumptions vary with house types An average iron-roofed house with floor space of 51.9 m^2 consumed 16.8 m^3 of wood and an average thatch-roofed house with mean floor space of 28.6 m^2 consumed 3.2 m^3 of wood. Family size and floor space were the major factors influencing construction wood consumption. An average living house was composed of woods of 39.3% ,luniperus procera, 5.6% Cupressus lusitanica, 29.2% Eucalyptus globulus and 26% Eucalyptus camaldulensis. The wood volume from the first two species and half that of the third species were obtained from state forest which is currently banned from any construction wood extraction and hence there is a shortage of around 59.5% of woods. We suggest the promotion of various tree planting approaches to increase the wood supply and the use of alternative local materials like soil bricks for house construction.

Linear and nonlinear dust acoustic(DA)waves have been investigated in an opposite polarity dusty plasma comprising negatively and positively charged dust grains,Maxwellian electrons and ions,including the generalized polarization force *** properties of linear DA waves have been significantly altered by the dual dust polarity and polarization *** amplitude DA solitons have been discussed in the framework of the Sagdeev potential *** results show that both rarefactive and compressive solitons can exist in such a dusty *** basic features of the Sagdeev potential have been examined under the effect of the polarization force parameter R,the ratio of the charge number of the positive dust to that of the negative dust Z,and the Mach number *** results show that these parameters play a significant role in determining the region of existence of large amplitude DA solitons.
