World lamb consumption is approximately 2 kg per capita with large variations between continents, e.g., 17 kg in Oceania vs. 0.7 kg in North America. With less than one million tonnes, the international trade of sheep meat contributes to a small percentage of the total meat exchanged between countries. On the other hand, lamb represents the highest rate of species trading in relation to the total sheep meat produced. It is therefore likely to ifnd a wide variability of different lamb products in the same market, and that the conservation procedures （such as refrigeration, packaging or freezing）, chemical composition, especially the fat due to its implication in human health, lfavour development and juiciness perception （affected, i.e., by the feeding or the age or slaughter weight of the animal） and acceptability （based on culinary background） could be considered important indicators of this advantageous situation. In this paper some studies related to the aforementioned indicators are discussed.

The huge and rapid progress in electric drives offers new opportunities to improve the performances of aircraft at all levels：fuel burn,environmental footprint,safety,integration and production,serviceability,and *** for safety-critical applications like flight-controls,landing gears,and even engines is one of the major consumers of non-propulsive *** actuation with centralized hydraulic power generation and distribution and control of power by throttling has been well established for decades,but offers a limited potential of *** this context,electric drives become more and more attractive to remove the natural drawbacks of conventional actuation and to offer new opportunities for improving *** paper takes the stock,at both the signal and power levels,of the evolution of actuation for safety-critical applications in *** focuses on the recent advances and the remaining challenges to be taken toward full electrical actuation for commercial and military aircraft,helicopters,and *** logically starts by emphasizing the specificity of safety-critical actuation for *** following section addresses in details the evolution of aerospace actuation from mechanically-signaled and hydraulically-supplied to all electric,with special emphasis on research and development programs and on solutions entered into ***,the last section reviews the challenges to be taken to generalize the use of all-electric actuators for future aircraft programs.

Little is known about how the assessment modality,i.e.,computer-based(CB)and paper-based(PB)tests,affects language teachers’scorings,perceptions,and preferences and,therefore,the validity and fairness of classroom writing *** present mixed-methods study used Shaw and Weir’s(2007)sociocognitive writing test validation framework to examine the scoring and consequential validity evidence of CB and PB writing tests in EFL classroom assessment in higher *** handwritten and word-processed texts of 38 EFL university students were transcribed to their opposite format and assessed by three language lecturers(N=456 texts,152 per teacher)to examine the scoring validity of CB and PB *** teachers’perceptions of text quality and preferences for assessment modality accounted for the consequential validity evidence of both *** revealed that the assessment modality impacted teachers’scorings,perceptions,and *** teachers awarded higher scores to original and transcribed handwritten texts,particularly text organization and language *** teachers’perceptions of text quality differed from their ratings,and physical,psychological,and experiential characteristics influenced their preferences for assessment *** results have implications for the validity and fairness of CB and PB writing tests and teachers’assessment practices.

Gastrointestinal cancer is a group of tumors that affect multiple sites of the digestive system, including the stomach, liver, colon and pancreas. These cancers are very aggressive and rapidly metastasize, thus identifying effective targets is crucial for treatment. Galectin-1(Gal-1) belongs to a family of glycan-binding proteins, or lectins, with the ability to cross-link specific glycoconjugates. A variety of biological activities have been attributed to Gal-1 at different steps of tumor progression. Herein, we summarize the current literature regarding the roles of Gal-1 in gastrointestinal malignancies. Accumulating evidence shows that Gal-1 is drastically up-regulated in human gastric cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tissues, both in tumor epithelial and tumor-associated stromal cells. Moreover, Gal-1 makes a crucial contribution to the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal malignancies, favoring tumor development, aggressiveness, metastasis, immunosuppression and angiogenesis. We also highlight that alterations in Gal-1-specific glycoepitopes may be relevant for gastrointestinal cancer progression. Despite the findings obtained so far, further functional studies are still required. Elucidating the precise molecular mechanisms modulated by Gal-1 underlying gastrointestinal tumor progression, might lead to the development of novel Gal-1-based diagnostic methods and/or therapies.

目的在重症监护病房(IntensiveCareUnit,ICU),护土难免会遇到需要限制治疗努力(limiting therapeutie efort,LTE)的患者,尽管多数护士还缺乏为这些临终患者及其家庭提供支持的准备。本综述旨在描述ICU护士在LTE中需要具备的能力。方法对2010年--2023年发表的文献进行综述。系统检索了5个数据库:Medline、Wiley Online Library、SciELO、ScienceDirect和Web of Science。使用关键评估项目工具西班牙语版(Critical Appraisal Skills Programme in Spanish,CASPe)作为评判性阅读工具。使用牛津循证医学中心(Center for Evidence-Based Medicine.,CEBM)评估工具确定证据级别和推荐强度。结果共纳入25篇文献。ICU护士LTE护理的能力包括对患者的直接护理、以家庭为中心的护理以及护士在团队中的作用。该综述确定了3个类别的能力:作为患者、家庭与跨学科团队之间维护者的能力,在LTE方面的决策能力,在患者生命末期治疗和护理干预的能力。结论ICU护士在LTE方面需要具备相应的能力,这对患者的生活质量死亡尊严以及患者家庭应对悲伤的全面支持至关重要。

This study investigates the development of novel montmorillonite/castor oil blends to formulate sustainable lubricating greases to promote the replacement of petrochemicals industry-derived materials by substances obtained from renewable ***,the effect of the thickener concentration on the rheological,chemical,thermal,tribological properties,and atomic force microscopy(AFM)microstructure of these systems were *** results showed that the C20A nanoclay content could be used to modulate the viscosity values,the linear viscoelastic functions,and tribological properties of these montmorillonite *** general,these gel-like dispersions exhibited remarkable lubricant properties;the samples showed values of the friction coefficient and wear scars similar or lower than those obtained with model bentonite grease.
