Pr.tozoan diseases suc. as Visc.r.l Leishmaniasis (VL) have r.-emer.ed in Nor.her. Br.zil and c.ses of.c.agas Disease also oc.ur. This VL inc.0}ase leads to ear.y ther.py f.r.the public. c.nf.r.ator. par.sitologic.l diagnoses in VL ar. per.or.ed by bone marr.w or.spleen aspir.tion, but ELISA, If. or.immunoc.r.matogr.phic.tests f.r.antibody detec.ion ar. easily per.or.ed and c.n be used in the pr.senc. of.c.inic.l signs as c.nf.r.ator. f.r.spec.f.c.ther.py. This appr.ac. is suc.essf.l in pr.viding ther.py and pr.vention of.death in VL, but ther. is a c.anc. of.c.nf.sion with the emer.ing disease, c.agas Disease (c.), due to c.0}ss-r.ac.ing and similar.c.inic.l pic.ur.s, as in this c.se. Both VL and c. pr.sented many asymptomatic.or.oligosymptomatic.c.ses, c.mplic.ting the pic.ur.. Our.c.se r.por. emphasizes these aspec.s. Positive ser.logy, with an IIf.titer.of.1/160, and epidemiologic.l c.r.elation, suggests the diagnosis of.VL and imposes antimony ther.py. despite the unf.vor.ble evolution and signs of.c.r.iac.involvement, the pr.senc. of.per.c.r.itis and c.r.iac.tamponade c.nf.r.ed by the ec.oc.r.iogr.m suggests c.. We r.assessed the pr.f.les of.a suggested c. ser.logy, the diagnosis was c.r.ec.ed and tr.atment with c. spec.f.c.benznidazole. The good evolution star.ed with benznidazole c.r.obor.tes the diagnosis of.c. and disc.r.s the hypothesis of.double inf.c.ion.

A study was c.nduc.ed to evaluate the abovegr.und biomass, nutr.ent c.ntent and the per.entages of.myc.r.hizal c.lonization in Euc.lyptus c.maldulensis and Euc.lyptus gr.nd＆ plantations in the semiar.d r.gion （ 15° 09′ S 43° 49′ W） in the nor.h of.the State of.Minas Ger.is in Br.zil. r.sults show that the total above-gr.und biomass （dr. matter. was 33.6 ***^-1 f.r.E. c.maldulensis and 53.1 Mg·ha^-1 f.r.E. gr.ndis. The biomass of.the stem wood, leaves, br.nc.es, and stein bar. f.r.E. c.maldulens ac.ounted f.r.64.4%, 19.6%, 15.4%, and 0.6% of.the total biomass, r.spec.ively （Table 2）; meanwhile a similar.par.ition of.the total above-gr.und biomass was also f.und f.r.E. gr.nd＆. The dr. matter.of.leaves and br.nc.es of.E. c.maldulensis ac.ounted f.r.35% of.total biomass, and the c.ntents of.N, P, K, c., Mg, and S in leaves and br.nc.es ac.ounted f.r.15.5%, 0.7%, 12.3%, 22.6%, 1.9%, and 1.4% of.those in total above-gr.und biomass, r.spec.ively. In the tr.nk （bar. and wood）, nutr.ent ac.umulation in gener.l was lower. Nutr.ent c.ntent of.E. gr.nd＆ pr.sented little var.ation c.mpar.d with that or.. c.maJd^llensis. Wood loc.lized in super.or.par.s of.tr.nk pr.sented a higher.c.nc.ntr.tion of.P and bar. c.ntained signif.c.nt amounts of.nutr.ents, espec.ally in E. gr.nd＆. This indic.ted that leaving vegetal waste is of.impor.anc. on the site in r.duc.ng the loss of.tr.e pr.duc.ivity in this semi-ar.d r.gion. The two spec.es showed myc.tr.phy.
