Str.c.ur.l investigation c.r.if.ed the YIG c.bic.c.0}stal str.c.ur. f.r.ation, without any sec.ndar. phase. It is shown that, the r.latively lar.e ionic.r.dius of.the dopant c.tions r.sults in an expansion of.the lattic. par.meter. var.ations in the Iona-O-Iondangle, Iona-O,Iond-O and Ionc.O bond distanc.s and dec.0}ase in the aver.ge c.0}stallite size. f.ur.er.tr.nsf.r. inf.1}r.d(f.Ir. and r.man measur.ments ar. essential to testif. the single-phase f.r.ation of.YIG c.0}stal str.c.ur. and ar. obser.ed c.anges in the str.tc.ing and vibr.tional modes, r.spec.ively. The mor.hologic.l study, ener.y disper.ive spec.r.sc.py(EDS) spec.r. and textur.l pr.per.ies show c.r.llike str.c.ur.s, peaks assoc.ated with Pr.(3+) and Yb^(3+) atoms and the ef.ec. of.dopants on sur.ac. ar.a,diameter. and por. volume, r.spec.ively. The optic.l analysis f.1}m dif.use r.f.ec.anc. spec.r. witnessed an inc.0}ase in the optic.l gap band, a dec.0}ase in Ur.ac. ener.y and blue shif. in the c.ar.e tr.nsf.r.c.r.elated with the expansion of.the unit c.ll due to the dopant's inser.ion in the YIG str.c.ur.. A typic.l f.r.imagnetic.behavior.is exhibited by the Y_(3-x)Pr.(x)f._(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12)c.mpound. The satur.tion magnetization(M_(s)), c.bic.anisotr.py c.nstant(K_(1)) and c.er.ive f.eld(H_(c.) inc.0}ase with the Pr.(3+)c.tions c.ntent, as c.nsequenc. of.their.magnetic.natur. and distr.bution ar.und of.f.^(3+)ions due to the c.existenc. with the Yb^(3+). f.nally, f.r.the f.r.t time, antibac.er.al tests by mean of.the dir.c. c.ntac. method wer. per.or.ed f.r.YIG c.-doped with Pr.(3+)and Yb^(3+)and it is shown that, r.latively high dosages of.Pr.(3+) c.tions f.vor.d the ac.ivity against S. aur.us, ther.f.r., a new biologic.l pr.per.y f.r.YIG doped with r.r. ear.hs is pr.sented.
