The.obje.tive.of this work is to pre.e.t an appropriate.se. of RAPD (random amplifie. polymorphic DNA) marke.s using single.and multiple. PCR analysis suitable.for the.characte.ization of the.e.de.ic Cuban spe.ie. Carica cube.sis and the.e.tablishme.t of ge.e.ic re.ationships with the.cultivate. spe.ie. Carica papaya. RAPD marke.s pre.e.te. a high le.e. of polymorphism. In addition, the.incorporation of more.than one.RAPD prime. in the.PCR analysis incre.se. the.numbe. of obtaine. bands and the.polymorphism of the.e.bands. A total of 73 RAPD bands we.e.de.e.te. (45 of the. polymorphic) with the.nine.RAPD marke.s assaye. using single.and multiple. PCR analysis. Re.ults de.onstrate. a re.uce. ge.e.ic variability within the.te.te. Carica cube.sis acce.sions. The.obse.ve. cluste.ing in this spe.ie. could be.be.te. e.plaine. according to ge.graphic proximity and can indicate.the.similar pre.e.e.ce.of the.isolate. studie. populations.
