Safety and Efficacy of Oral Mirodenafil in Mexican with Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction is treated with 5-phospodiesterase inhibitors as Mirodenafil, which has shown its efficacy and safety in Koreans, however;no information in other populations is available. An open clinical trial study was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety in real life of a fixed-dose of Mirodenafil in Mexican patients with erectile dysfunction. Forty-seven male patients received a 100 mg tablet of Mirodenafil, during 12 weeks. Primary outcome efficacy measure was the percentage of male patients with successful intercourse. Secondary outcomes measures included patient satisfaction, mood and self-esteem level. Safety assessments included laboratory tests, vital signs, physical examination, 12-lead electrocardiogram recordings, and incidence of adverse events by patients. Oral administration of Mirodenafil improved in an 80% - 90% the number of successful intercourses from 7 to 84 days of treatment. Moreover, patients reported a significant increment in their sexual satisfaction, mood and self-esteem. Mirodenafil treatment did not modify vital signs nor anthropometric parameters during 84 days. Mild headache was the most frequent adverse event (17.0%) and there were no severe adverse events during pharmacological treatment. Data suggest that oral Mirodenafil is safety, well tolerated and effective in the Mexican population with erectile dysfunction.

We report the first genetic linkage map of the catfish Lophiosilurus alexandri,a South American threatened and promising aquaculture catfish *** the progeny of three full-sib families,with 141,74,and 49 offspring,respectively,we could genotype 2351 SNP markers using the ddRAD technology,shared by the male and the female maps *** averaged,female and male maps spanned a total length of 2201.3 cM,2481.9 cM,and 1872.8 cM,respectively,and comprehended the expected 27 linkage groups according to the karyotype information of the species(2n=54).The recombination rate was nearly twice higher in the female than in the male *** average map was used to estimate the historical effective population size(Ne)of the species from linkage disequilibrium between pairs of SNPs using parental individuals and revealed a remarkable drop in Ne about 20-25 generations in the *** construction of the biggest artificial reservoir in Latin America and associated nutrient retention is pointed as a possible reason for such a reduction and suggests a reevaluation of the conservation status of the *** current map lays the groundwork for understanding the genetic basis of economically important traits in breeding programs and will be useful for the genome assembly of this important commercial species.

RLS Wiener Predictor with Uncertain Observations in Linear Discrete-Time Stochastic Systems

This paper proposes recursive least-squares (RLS) l-step ahead predictor and filtering algorithms with uncertain observations in linear discrete-time stochastic systems. The observation equation is given by y(k)=y(k)z(k)+v(k), z(k)=Hx(k), where {y(k)} is a binary switching sequence with conditional probability. The estimators require the information of the system state-transition matrix Ф, the observation matrix H, the variance K(k,k) of the state vector x(k), the variance R(k) of the observation noise, the probability p(k)=p{y(k)=1} that the signal exists in the uncertain observation equation and the (2,2) element [p(k|j)]2,2 of the conditional probability of y(k), given y(j).

＜正＞ Traditionally, many risk analysis models are based on quantitative techniques, which require numerical data. When the available data from previous projects is enough, it is possible to define some probabilistic values and functions, and work with them. If the available data is incomplete or simply does not exist for some project conditions, it will be very difficult to assign some numbers to the probability of occurrence of any event, or to specify a probabilistic function that fits the involved process. This situation complicates the possibility of getting some numerical representation of the risk. Fuzzy logic appears like an ideal tool for solving this problem. In the paper, a risk management fuzzy logic model for construction projects is developed. The model can be used as a tool for comparing different construction projects from the point of view of the risk involved in their execution.

The intensity of the bitterness of catechins increases with increased concentration, but the taste palatability decreased in green tea extract. The aim of this study was to investigate whether a blend of tea leaf particles of various sizes would result in a good balance between catechin content and appreciable taste. The control is common tea (CT) with 6 - 10 mm long leaves. Blend tea (BT) was prepared by mixing 5 mm and 120 - 130 mm long tea leaves in a ratio of 3:2. The catechin content of hot water extracts was analyzed by HPLC, and the sensory test was conducted with 99 volunteers. In BT, the total catechin content was significantly higher than that in CT. The sensory test results revealed that BT was less bitter and had more preferable color than CT. More catechins were extracted from BT, but it tasted less bitter. Thus, the recalibration of the tea leaf particle size can result in good balance between catechin content and palatability.

In fact, all people know that factors such as hour, accumulated fatigue, or mood, can be very influential in the productivity. However, there are other less studied factors that can equally be influential, to a greater or lesser extent. For this reason, in the present work are used different techniques belonging to Soft Computing, with the objective of detecting those most influential factors by the execution of a set of experiments under different simulated circumstances in a controlled environment.
