Nigella sativa protects against isoproterenol-induced myocardial infarction by alleviating oxidative stress,biochemical alterations and histological damage

Objective: To evaluate the cardioprotective effect of Nigella sativa L.(***) in isoproterenol-induced myocardial infarction(MI).Methods: Groups were treated with different doses of ethanol extract of ***(EENS)and *** oil alone and along with enalapril for 28 *** was induced by subcutaneous administration of isoproterenol(85 mg/kg) in two consecutive *** of cardiac biomarkers and antioxidant enzymes such as creatine kinase–N-acetyl-L-cysteine, lactate dehydrogenase, aspartate aminotransferase, malondialdehyde, superoxide dismutase, reduced glutathione and catalase were evaluated along with gross histopathological ***: Isoproterenol(85 mg/kg) induced MI by causing the significant(P reduction in the activity of cardiac biomarkers(creatine kinase–N-acetyl-L-cysteine,lactate dehydrogenase, aspartate aminotransferase) and antioxidant markers(superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione) along with significant(P rease in the level of ***, histopathological evaluation also confirmed the isoproterenol-induced *** with EENS(800 mg/kg) and combination of EENS(800 mg/kg) with enalapril(1 mg/kg) significantly(P revented the development of these alteration and restored activity of cardiac biomarkers as well as antioxidant markers almost near to normal *** evaluation of cardiac tissue further confirmed the restoration of biochemical ***: Experimental findings thus indicate that EENS(800 mg/kg) demonstrated cardioprotective effect against isoproterenol-induced MI by restoring cardiac biomarkers and antioxidant status.

A thin film of blended poly-N-epoxypropylcarbazole（PEPC）（25 wt.%）,nickel phthalocyanine（NiPc）（50 wt.%） and ZnO nano-powder（25 wt.%） in benzene（5 wt.%） was spin-coated on a glass substrate with silver electrodes to produce a surface-type Ag/PEPC/NiPc/ZnO/Ag capacitive and resistive *** with two different PEPC/NiPc/ZnO film thicknesses（330 and 400 nm） were fabricated and *** effects of humidity on capacitance and resistance of the Ag/PEPC/NiPc/ZnO/Ag sensors were investigated at two frequencies of the applied voltage：120 Hz and 1 *** was observed that at 120 Hz under humidity of up to 95%rH the capacitance of the sensors increased by 540 times and resistance decreased by 450 times with respect to humidity conditions of 50%rH. Antibacterial mechanism with consequent cytotoxicity of different reinforcements in biodegradable magnesium and zinc alloys: A review

Benefits achieved by the biodegradable magnesium(Mg) and zinc(Zn) implants could be suppressed due to the invasion of infectious microbial, common bacteria, and fungi. Postoperative medications and the antibacterial properties of pure Mg and Zn are insufficient against biofilm and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, bringing osteomyelitis, necrosis, and even death. This study evaluates the antibacterial performance of biodegradable Mg and Zn alloys of different reinforcements, including silver(Ag), copper(Cu), lithium(Li), and gallium(Ga). Copper ions(Cu^(2+)) can eradicate biofilms and antibiotic-resistant bacteria by extracting electrons from the cellular structure. Silver ion(Ag^(+)) kills bacteria by creating bonds with the thiol group. Gallium ion(Ga^(3+)) inhibits ferric ion(Fe^(3+)) absorption, leading to nutrient deficiency and bacterial death. Nanoparticles and reactive oxygen species(rOS) can penetrate bacteria cell walls directly, develop bonds with receptors, and damage nucleotides. Antibacterial action depends on the alkali nature of metal ions and their degradation rate, which often causes cytotoxicity in living cells. therefore, this review emphasizes the insight into degradation rate, antibacterial mechanism, and their consequent cytotoxicity and observes the correlation between antibacterial performance and oxidation number of metal ions.

Etiologies of tropical acute febrile illness in West Pahang, Malaysia: A prospective observational study

Objective: To determine the etiologies of tropical acute febrile illness(TAFI) in West Pahang, Malaysia and to investigate morbidity and mortality factors in relation to TAFI. Methods: A multicenter prospective cohort study was conducted between January and June 2016 in six district hospitals throughout the western part of Pahang State in Peninsular Malaysia. A total of 336 patients answered a standardized questionnaire and blood samples were collected for laboratory confirmation of infectious etiology. Descriptive analysis and logistic regression were performed to identify factors associated with TAFI. results: A total of 336 patients were included. The patients were mainly Malays(70.2%), males(61.3%), aged(44.6±17.4) years, with more than half(58.9%) presenting with gastrointestinal symptoms. The majority were diagnosed with dengue(35.7%) while malaria(4.5%) was the least frequent. The in-hospital mortality due to TAFI was 9.2%. Patients with meliodosis had five times higher mortality [Adjusted Or: 5.002, 95% CI:(1.233, 20.286)]. Patients with comorbidities such as cardiovascular symptoms(Prenal replacement therapy initiation(Pre significantly associated with in-hospital mortality in all TAFI. Conclusions: The etiology of TAFI in the western Pahang includes dengue, leptospirosis, malaria and melioidosis, which carry the highest risk of in-hospital mortality. The presence of cardiovascular symptoms may be used to assess the disease severity in TAFI, but more studies are needed in the future.

Mass Limit of Neutron Star

The mass limit of neutron star has still remained a mystery. The existing Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff (TOV) equation for calculating the limit always gives different values, by introducing different assumptions and having been predicted like 0.7 Mo, 3.2 Mo, 3.6 Mo, where Mo = 1.98 × 1030 Kg. there is a need of some better technique to adopt other than TOV relation to seek out the value. In this paper, a new relation between the mass of the collapsing star and its average density ρ′ has been derived and used to calculate the limit of neutron star. The conditions in radii between Schwarz Child’s radius and the actual radius of the collapsing star have been introduced to calculate the mass of star above which it will transform into a black hole and below it to a neutron star. A new constant, JN = 8.53707554 × 1039 N-3/2s-3Kg3 has been proposed with which if we introduce the average density of the collapsing neutron star, its mass limit can be calculated very easily. By putting the most possible mass density, which is the minimum required density for a collapsing star to transform into the black hole, it has been found that the mass limit of neutron star is quite higher than it has been assumed. The definition for black hole has also been re-defined on the basis of said radii conditions.

The effect of multi-step tempering on retained austenite content and mechanical properties of low alloy steel used in the forged cold back-up roll was *** evolutions were characterized by optical microscope,X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscope and Feritscope,while the mechanical properties were determined by hardness and tensile *** results revealed that the content of retained austenite decreased by about 2% after multi-step ***,the content of retained austenite increased from 3.6% to 5.1% by increasing multi-step tempering *** hardness and tensile strength increased as the austenitization temperature changed from 800 to 920 ℃,while above 920 ℃,hardness and tensile strength *** addition,the maximum values of hardness,ultimate and yield strength were obtained via triple tempering at 520 ℃,while beyond 520 ℃,the hardness,ultimate and yield strength decreased sharply.

Discovering optimal features using static analysis and a genetic search based method for Android malware detection

Mobile device manufacturers are rapidly producing miscellaneous Android versions worldwide. Simultaneously, cyber criminals are executing malicious actions, such as tracking user activities, stealing personal data, and committing bank fraud. These criminals gain numerous benefits as too many people use Android for their daily routines, including important communications. With this in mind, security practitioners have conducted static and dynamic analyses to identify malware. This study used static analysis because of its overall code coverage, low resource consumption, and rapid processing. However, static analysis requires a minimum number of features to efficiently classify malware. therefore, we used genetic search（GS）, which is a search based on a genetic algorithm（GA）, to select the features among 106 strings. To evaluate the best features determined by GS, we used five machine learning classifiers, namely, Na？ve Bayes（NB）, functional trees（FT）, J48, random forest（rF）, and multilayer perceptron（MLP）. Among these classifiers, FT gave the highest accuracy（95%） and true positive rate（TPr）（96.7%） with the use of only six features.

A Literature review on Sustainability of Bio-Based and Biodegradable Plastics:Challenges and Opportunities
