MXenes have aroused intensive enthusiasm because of their exotic properties and promising ***,to date,they are usually synthesized by etching *** synthetic technologies provides more opportunities for innovation and may extend unexplored ***,we report a bottom-up gas-phase synthesis of Cl-terminated MXene(Ti_(2)CCl_(2)).The gas-phase synthesis endows Ti_(2)CCl_(2) with unique surface chemistry,high phase purity,and excellent metallic conductivity,which can be used to accelerate polysulfide conversion kinetics and dramatically prolong the cyclability of Li-S ***-depth mechanistic analysis deciphers the origin of the formation of Ti_(2)CCl_(2) and offers a paradigm for tuning MXene chemical vapor *** brief,the gas-phase synthesis transforms the synthesis of MXenes and unlocks the hardly achieved potentials of MXenes.

Synthesis, characterization and dielectric properties of a novel temperature stable（1-x）CoTiNb2O8-xZnNb2O6 ceramic

(1-x)CoTiNb2O8-x ZnNb2O6 microwave dielectric ceramics were prepared via the conventional solid-state reaction route with the aim of reducing thetf value and improving the thermal *** phase composition and the microstructure were investigated using X-ray diffraction,Raman spectra,and scanning electron microscopy.A set of phase transitions which were induced by composition had been confirmed via the sequence:rutile structure→coexistence of rutile and columbite phase→columbite ***(1-x)CoTiNb2O8-x ZnNb2O6 microwave dielectric ceramics,the addition of ZnNb2O6 content(x=0–1)led to the decrease ofer from 62.98 to *** a result of the high Q×?of ZnNb2O6 ceramics,the increase of ZnNb2O6 content also led to the lower sintering temperatures and the higher Q×?*** value was reduced from+108.04(x=0)to–49.31 ppm/℃(x=1).Among them,high density 0.5CoTiNb2O8-0.5ZnNb2O6 ceramics were obtained at 1175℃with excellent microwave dielectric properties of εr 39.2,Q×? 40013 GHz,and tf+3.57 ppm/℃.

Efficient fluidization intensification process to fabricate in-situ dispersed(SiO+G)/CNTs composites for high-performance lithium-ion battery anode applications

An efficient fluidization process intensification method was proposed to prepare carbon nanotube(CNT)-enhanced high-performance SiO anodes for lithium-ion *** introduction of graphite particles decreased bonding among SiO particles,inhibiting agglomerate growth and enhancing ***(SiO+G)/CNTs composites were synthesized by fluidized bed chemical vapor deposition with the CNTs grown in-situ,which ensured uniform dispersion and superior anchoring of the *** in-situ-grown CNTs and stacked graphite ensured excellent structural stability and *** synthesized(SiO+G)/CNTs delivered a stable reversible capacity of 466 mAh g^(−1) after 125 cycles and a capacity of∼200 mAh g^(−1) at 2 A g^(−1).The charging results indicated that the 3D network structure comprising CNTs and graphite not only effectively buffered the electrode expansion but also greatly improved mechanical flexibility.

Preparation of nano-sized tungsten carbide via fluidized bed

Ultrafine or nano-sized of tungsten carbide(WC)is the key material to prepare ultrafine grained cemented *** this paper,nano-sized WC powders were directly prepared by using industrial nano-needle violet tungsten oxide(WO2.72)as the raw material,a fluidized bed as the reactor,and CO as the carbonization *** relationship between particle sizes and reaction temperatures,residence times,atmospheres has been investigated *** addition,the physical–chemical indexes(such as residual oxygen,total carbon and free carbon)of the products were *** results indicated that the particle size of WC increased with the increase of temperature from 800 to 950°*** the residence time increased,the particle size decreased gradually,and then increased due to slight *** introduction of hydrogen reduced the carbonization rate,and is not beneficial to obtaining nano-sized *** that satisfy the standard were obtained when WO2.72 reacted with CO at 850°C,900°C and 950°C for 3.0 h,2.5 h and 2.0 h,*** particle sizes of the three samples calculated from the specific surface area were 46.4 nm,53.2 nm and 52.1 nm,respectively.

Synthesis of TiCl_(2) powders through reactive gas phase infiltration in a fluidized bed reactor

TiCl_(2) is a promising precursor for producing metallic titanium alloys and titanium-based ***,the effective synthesis of high-quality TiCl_(2) powder remains ***,a fluidized bed reactor(FBR)providing a high gas-solid contact area was employed to synthesize TiCl_(2) powder using a reliable TiCl_(4)-Ti reaction *** reaction conditions(600℃and 120 min)were determined for the proposed Ti-TiCl_(4) system by kinetic investigation.A dense Ti layer was regenerated upon the original surface of the Ti powder as a result of TiCl_(2) disproportionation at high temperature(above 700℃),which impeded infiltration by gaseous TiCl_(4).The particle size of the Ti reducing agent played a vital role in the production of TiCl_(2) powder.A mean particle size of 24.5μm was confirmed to be the most feasible option based on the optimal chlorinated depth(17μm).

Dual-ion carrier storage through Mg^(2+) addition for high-energy and long-life zinc-ion hybrid capacitor

Cation additives can efficiently enhance the total electrochemical capabilities of zinc-ion hybrid capacitors (ZHCs).However their energy storage mechanisms in zinc-based systems are still under ***,we modulate the electrolyte and achieve dual-ion storage by adding magnesium *** we assemble several Zn//activated carbon devices with different electrolyte concentrations and investigate their electrochemical reaction dynamic *** zinc-ion capacitor with Mg^(2+)mixed solution delivers 82 mAh·g^(-1)capacity at 1 A·g^(-1) and maintains 91%of the original capacitance after 10000 *** is superior to the other assembled zinc-ion devices in single-component *** finding demonstrates that the double-ion storage mechanism enables the superior rate performance and long cycle lifetime of ZHCs.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of a cast TRIP-assisted multiphase stainless steel

Stainless steels are used in a wide range of complex environments due to their excellent corrosion *** stainless steels can offer an excellent combination of strength,toughness and corrosion resistance due to the coexistence of different *** microstructure and mechanical properties of a novel cast multiphase stainless steel,composed of martensite,ferrite,and austenite,were investigated following appropriate heat treatment processes:solution treatment at 1,050℃ for 0.5 h followed by water quenching to room temperature,and aging treatment at 500℃ for 4 h followed by water quenching to room *** show reversed austenite is formed by diffusion of Ni element during aging process,and the enrichment of Ni atoms directly determines the mechanical stability of *** austenite with a lower Ni content undergoes a martensitic transformation during plastic *** tensile strength of the specimen exceeds 1,100 MPa and the elongation exceeds 24%after solid solution,and further increases to 1,247 MPa and 25%after aging *** enhancement is due to the TRIP effect of austenite and the precipitation of the nanoscale G-phase pinning dislocations in ferrite and martensite.

The increase in payload capacity of trucks has heightened the demand for cost-effective yet high performance brake *** this work,the thermal fatigue and wear of compacted graphite iron brake discs were investigated,aiming to provide an experimental foundation for achieving a balance between their thermal and mechanical *** graphite iron brake discs with different tensile strengths,macrohardnesses,specific heat capacities and thermal diffusion coefficients were produced by changing the proportion and strength of *** peak temperature,pressure load and friction coefficient of compacted graphite iron brake discs were analyzed through inertia friction *** morphology of thermal cracks and 3D profiles of the worn surfaces were also *** is found that the thermal fatigue of compacted graphite iron discs is determined by their thermal properties.A compacted graphite iron with the highest specific heat capacity and thermal diffusion coefficient exhibits optimal thermal fatigue *** of the matrix at low temperatures significantly weakens the function of alloy strengthening in hindering the propagation of thermal *** the reduced hardness,increasing the ferrite proportion can mitigate wear loss resulting from low disc temperatures and the absence of abrasive wear.

An integrative mathematical model of microwave ion thruster for mHz-frequency thrust noise analysis

Many high-precision space missions need thrusters to produce thrust with low noise to compensate for disturbances and ensure satellite platform stability. Microwave ion thruster is characterized with a wide thrust range and potential for these missions. A cost-effective and accurate mathematical model is crucial for mHz-frequency thrust noise analysis and feedback controller design. The Particle-In-Cell(PIC) and global models are two common simulation tools. The PIC model is characterized with high accuracy but huge computation cost, which is difficult to analyze long-time performance characteristics. Now, the global model is only used for the discharge chamber with low accuracy and cannot reflect ion extraction properties. In this paper, an integrative mathematical model is built for a 1-cm microwave ion thruster and can reflect ion beamlet divergence and impingement on the Accelerator Grid(AG). Simulation results show good agreement with experiments at 0.06 sccm. However, the model demonstrates worse consistency with experiments when the flux increases to 0.1 sccm, which may be because the influence of neutral gas on the Electron Cyclotron Resonance(ECR) is not considered in the model. A long-time(1000 s) simulation is conducted with this model under 35 μN. It takes 3 hrs, and the thrust noise reaches 1 μN/Hz^(0.5) at 1 mHz.
