Highly branched poly(β-amino ester)s(HPAEs)have emerged as a safe and efficient type of non-viral gene delivery ***,the presence of inactive terminal secondary amine groups compromises their gene transfection *** this study,HPAEs with similar topological structures and chemical compositions but varying numbers of terminal secondary 4-amino-1-butanol(S4)and secondary/tertiary 3-morpholinopropylamine(MPA)groups were *** results demonstrate that an increased number of secondary/tertiary MPA groups in-situ significantly enhances the DNA binding capability of HPAEs,leading to the formation of smaller HPAE/DNA polyplexes with higher zeta potential,ultimately resulting in superior gene transfection efficiency in bladder epithelial *** study establishes a sim-ple yet effective strategy to maximize the gene transfection potency of HPAEs by converting the inactive terminal groups in-situ without the need for complex modifications to their topological structure and chemical composition.

Recently,non-centrosymmetric(NCS)Hg-based chalcogenides have garnered significant interest due to their strong second-harmonic-generation intensities(deff),making them attractive candidates for infrared nonlinear optical(IR-NLO)***,achieving both wide band gaps(Eg)and large phasematched deffsimultaneously in these materials remains a challenge due to their inherent constraints on each *** this research,we have successfully obtained two quaternary NCS Hg-based chalcogenides,Rb2HgGe_(3)S_(8)and Cs_(2)HgGe_(3)S_(8),by implementing a bandgap engineering strategy that involves alkali metal introduction and Hg/Ge ratio *** compounds consist of 2D[Hg Ge_(3)S_(8)]_(2)–anionic layers made of 1D[HgGeS_(6)]^(6–)chains and dimeric[Ge_(2)S_(6)]_(4–)polyhedra arranged alternately,and the charge-balanced Rb+/Cs+cations located between these ***,Rb_(2)HgGe_(3)S_(8)and Cs_(2)HgGe_(3)S_(8)exhibit overall properties required for promising IR-NLO materials,including sufficient PM deff(0.55–0.70×AgGaS_(2)@20_(5)0 nm),large Eg(3.27–3.41 e V),giant laser-induced damage thresholds(17.4–19.7×AgGaS_(2)@1064 nm),broad optical transmission intervals(0.32–17.5μm),and suitable theoretical birefringence(0.069–0.086@2050 nm).Furthermore,in-depth theoretical analysis reveals that the exceptional IRNLO performance is attributed to the synergy effects of distorted[HgS_(4)]and[GeS_(4)]*** study provides a useful strategy for enhancing the Eg and advancing Hg-based IR-NLO materials,which is expected to extended and implemented in other chalcogenide systems.

In current research on task offloading and resource scheduling in vehicular networks,vehicles are commonly assumed to maintain constant speed or relatively stationary states,and the impact of speed variations on task offloading is often *** is frequently assumed that vehicles can be accurately modeled during actual motion ***,in vehicular dynamic environments,both the tasks generated by the vehicles and the vehicles’surroundings are constantly changing,making it difficult to achieve real-time modeling for actual dynamic vehicular network *** into account the actual dynamic vehicular scenarios,this paper considers the real-time non-uniform movement of vehicles and proposes a vehicular task dynamic offloading and scheduling algorithm for single-task multi-vehicle vehicular network scenarios,attempting to solve the dynamic decision-making problem in task offloading *** optimization objective is to minimize the average task completion time,which is formulated as a multi-constrained non-linear programming *** to the mobility of vehicles,a constraint model is applied in the decision-making process to dynamically determine whether the communication range is sufficient for task offloading and ***,the proposed vehicular task dynamic offloading and scheduling algorithm based on muti-agent deep deterministic policy gradient(MADDPG)is applied to solve the optimal solution of the optimization *** results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper is able to achieve lower latency task computation ***,the average task completion time of the proposed algorithm in this paper can be improved by 7.6%compared to the performance of the MADDPG scheme and 51.1%compared to the performance of deep deterministic policy gradient(DDPG).

This study aimed to investigate the effects of different proportions of dietary fermented sweet potato residue(FSPR) supplementation as a substitute for corn on the nutrient digestibility, meat quality, and intestinal microbes of yellow-feathered broilers. Experiment 1(force-feeding) evaluated the nutrient composition and digestibility of mixtures with different proportions of sweet potato residue(70%, 80%,90%, and 100%) before and after fermentation. In Experiment 2(metabolic growth), a total of 420 oneday-old yellow-feathered broilers were randomly allocated to 4 groups and fed corn-soybean mealbased diets with 0, 5%, 8%, and 10% FSPR as a substitute for corn. The force-feeding and metabolic growth experiments were performed for 9 and 70 d, respectively. The treatment of 70% sweet potato residue(after fermentation) had the highest levels of crude protein, ether extract, and crude fiber and improved the digestibility of crude protein and amino acids(P < 0.05). Although dietary FSPR supplementation at different levels had no significant effect on growth performance and intestinal morphology, it improved slaughter rate, half-chamber rate, full clearance rate, and meat color, as well as reduced cooking loss in the breast and thigh muscles(P < 0.05). Dietary supplementation with 8% and 10% FSPR increased the serum immunoglobulin M and immunoglobulin G levels in broilers(P < 0.05). Furthermore, 10% FSPR increased the Shannon index and Ruminococcaceae＿UCG-014, Ruminococcaceae＿UCG-010 and Romboutsia abundances and decreased Sutterella and Megamonas abundances(P < 0.05). Spearman's correlation analysis showed that meat color was positively correlated with Ruminococcaceae＿UCG-014(P < 0.05) and negatively correlated with Megamonas(P < 0.05). Collectively, 70% sweet potato residue(after fermentation) had the best nutritional value and nutrient digestibility. Dietary supplementation with 8% to 10%FSPR as a substitute for corn can improve the slaughter performance, meat quality

In this work,poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT)ultrathin films(P3HT-T)were prepared by spin-coating a dilute P3HT solution(in a toluene:o-dichlorobenzene(Tol:ODCB)blend with a volume ratio of 80:20)with ultrasonication and the addition of the nucleating agent bicycle[2.2.1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylic acid disodium salt(HPN-68L)on glass,Si wafers and indium tin oxide(ITO)*** electrical and mechanical properties of the P3HT-T ultrathin films were investigated,and it was found that the conductivity and crack onset strain(COS)were simultaneously improved in comparison with those of the corresponding pristine P3HT film(P3HT-0,without ultrasonication and nucleating agent)on the same substrate,regardless of what substrate was ***,the conductivity of P3HT-T ultrathin films on different substrates was similar(varying from 3.7 S·cm^(-1)to 4.4 S·cm^(-1)),yet the COS increased from 97%to 138%by varying the substrate from a Si wafer to *** grazing-incidence wide-angle X-ray diffraction(GIXRD),UV-visible(UV-Vis)spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy(AFM),we found that the solid order and crystallinity of the P3HT-T ultrathin film on the Si wafer are highest,followed by those on glass,and much lower on ***,the surface energy and roughness of three substrates were investigated,and it was found that the polar component of the surface energyγp plays a critical role in determining the crystalline microstructures of P3HT ultrathin films on different *** work indicates that the P3HT ultrathin film can obviously improve the stretchability and simultaneously retain similar electrical performance when a suitable substrate is *** findings offer a new direction for research on stretchable CP ultrathin films to facilitate future practical applications.

BACKGROUND The controlling nutritional status(CONUT)score effectively reflects a patient’s nutritional status,which is closely related to cancer *** study invest-igated the relationship between the CONUT score and prognosis after radical surgery for colorectal cancer,and compared the predictive ability of the CONUT score with other *** To analyze the predictive performance of the CONUT score for the survival rate of colorectal cancer patients who underwent potentially curative *** This retrospective analysis included 217 patients with newly diagnosed *** CONUT score was calculated based on the serum albumin level,total lymphocyte count,and total cholesterol *** cutoff value of the CONUT score for predicting prognosis was 4 according to the Youden Index by the receiver operating characteristic *** associations between the CONUT score and the prognosis were performed using Kaplan-Meier curves and Cox regression *** Using the cutoff value of the CONUT score,patients were stratified into CONUT low(n=189)and CONUT high groups(n=28).The CONUT high group had worse overall survival(OS)(P=0.013)and relapse-free survival(RFS)(P=0.015).The predictive performance of CONUT was superior to the modified Glasgow prognostic score,the prognostic nutritional index,and the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ***,the predictive performances of CONUT+tumor node metastasis(TNM)stage for 3-year OS[area under the receiver operating characteristics curve(AUC)=0.803]and 3-year RFS(AUC=0.752)were no less than skeletal muscle mass index(SMI)+TNM *** CONUT score was negatively correlated with SMI(P<0.01).CONCLUSION As a nutritional indicator,the CONUT score could predict long-term outcomes after radical surgery for colorectal cancer,and its predictive ability was superior to other *** correlation between the CONUT score and skeletal muscle may be one of the factors that play a predictive role.

Chiroptical switches based on circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)have shown the promising applications in advanced information ***,a pair of lanthanide coordination polymer enantiomers[Eu_(2)(L^(R))_(3)(BTFPO)_(2)]_(n) and[Eu_(2)(L^(S))_(3)(BTFPO)_(2)]_(n) with light-regulated CPL property are designed,which are assembled by a chiral binuclear triple-stranded Eu^(3+) helicates[Eu_(2)(L^(R/S))_(3)]coordinated with two photochromic triphenylphosphine oxides(BTFPO).Upon the alternative UV and 526 nm light irradiation,the complexes show the reversible photochromism,PL and CPL ***,the luminescence dissymmetry factor,g lum of ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1)(591 nm)transition shows an obvious increase from 0.19 to 0.29 before and after 275 nm light ***,the emission from Eu^(3+) center is not completely quenched in closed-ring state due to the low photocyclization(Ф_(o-c))quantum yield of the *** partial maintenance of emissive intensity is of essential importance for the monitor of CPL *** importantly,the CPL photo-switching property of the complexes in solid hybrid film is maintained,and still displays the enhanced CPL emission in photostationary ***,the potential applications of the doping film in logic gate and anti-counterfeiting were investigated.
