AIM： To investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of c-myc shRNA in inhibiting the hyperplastic behavior and lithogenic potentiality of chronic proliferative cholangitis （CPC）, in order to prevent stone recurrence and biliary restenosis. METHODS： An animal model of CPC was established by giving intralumenally 0.5 mL of c-myc shRNA. Then, the effects of c-myc shRNA on hyperplastic behavior and lithogenic potentiality of CPC were evaluated by histological observation, immunohistochemistry, real- time PCR and Western blotting for c-myc, proliferating cell nuclear antigen （PCNA）, procollagen m, mucin 5AC, enzymatic histochemistry for 13-glucuronidase, and biochemistry for hydroxyproline in the diseased bile duct. RESULTS： Treatment with c-myc shRNA efficiently suppressed the hyperplasia of biliary epithelium, submucosal gland, and collagen fiber by inhibiting mRNA and protein expression of c-myc. More importantly, it decreased the lithogenic potentiality of CPC by inhibiting the expression of mucin 5AC and the secretion of endogenous 13-glucuronidase. Further investigation indicated that c-myc shRNA-3 had a better inhibitory effect on CPC. CONCLUSION： Treatment with c-myc shRNA-3 can control CPC and reduce the lithogenic potentiality of CPC.

Pressure monitoring of a transformer oil tank can grasp the pressure change process caused by gas production when severe internal defects occur and take timely measures to ensure the safe operation of the *** pressure sensors generally use metal encapsulation or have an air cavity structure,threatening the transformer’s insulation if it is directly used inside the *** this end,this paper proposes a method for developing a high-sensitivity,large-range,and metallizationfree optical pressure sensing device with temperature *** grating is encapsulated by fluorosilicone rubber and supplemented by an epoxy resin shielding shell on the *** the same time,a double-grating vertical arrangement is adopted to improve pressure measurement sensitivity,further avoiding the influence of temperature rise caused by a defect of the transformer on the measurement result of the *** addition,by optimizing the geometric structure of the internal sensitizing element,pre-stretching length of the fiber grating,gap distance,and other parameters,probe size can be reduced while ensuring the sensor’s *** show the proposed method can meet the requirements of sensor fabrication with different sensitivities and ranges,and to a certain extent,both high sensitivity and extensive ranges can be taken into *** sensitivity of the fabricated prototype is 15 pm/kPa,and the range is about 0.2 *** the same time,the metal-free feature of the sensor makes it suitable for use in various oil-immersed power *** records oil pressure changes caused by oil discharge breakdown,making it sensitive to small pressure changes in early failures.

The private set intersection(PSI) protocol allows two parties holding a set of integers to compute the intersection of their sets without revealing any additional information to each other. The unbalanced PSI schemes consider a specific setting where a client holds a small set of the size n and a server holds a much larger set of the size m(n ■ m). The communication overhead of state-of-the-art balanced PSI schemes is O(m + n) and the unbalanced PSI schemes are O(nlogm). In this paper, we propose a novel secure unbalanced PSI protocol based on a hash proof system. The communication complexity of our protocol grows only linearly with the size of the small set. In other words, our protocol achieves communication overhead of O(n). We test the performance on a personal computer(PC) machine with a local area network(LAN)setting for the network. The experimental results demonstrate that the client only takes 2.01 s of online computation, 4.27 MB of round trip communication to intersect 1600 pieces of 32-bit integers with 220pieces of 32-bit integers with the security parameter λ = 512. Our protocol is efficient and can be applied to resource-constrained devices, such as cell phones.

Landslide susceptibility assessment plays a vital role in understanding landslide information in advance and taking preventive as well as control measures. The need to initially specify the number of clusters, difficulty in handling noise and quantifying rainfall data, limits the application of traditional clustering models in landslide susceptibility assessment which then lowers their performance accuracy. Thus, to overcome these limitations, this study proposed an improved clustering algorithm titled the DBSCAN-AHD algorithm, which combines the traditional DBSCAN(Density Based Spatial Clustering of Application with Noise) algorithm and an Adaptive Hausdorff Distance(AHD) for landslide susceptibility modeling. Firstly, AHD was introduced to the traditional DBSCAN to quantify rainfall. Then,the DBSCAN-AHD grouped the mapping units with similar topology and geology characteristics into subclasses without specifying the number of clusters in advance for its ability to handle noise in the ***, the LD-EV(landslide density or eigenvalues) approach was introduced to obtain the susceptibility levels using K-means algorithm. Finally,to verify the model’s performance, statistical indices and the area under the curve(AUC) were applied and compared to the traditional DBSCAN, KPSO, Kmeans and Hierarchical Clustering algorithms,whereby, the proposed model outperformed the others. Also, the obtained susceptibility map can provide references in taking relevant preventive and control measures.

Seeking highly active,stable and low-cost electrocatalysts used as both cathode and anode in overall water splitting is very crucial for the sustainable utilization of ***,a highly efficient and long-term stable oxygen evolution reaction(OER)electrocatalyst Mn-doped CoP on foam Ni(MnCoP/NF)is synthesized by the one-step electrodeposition *** to the synergetic effect among the Sepaktakraw-like morphology,the doped Mn element and the binder-free synthesis method,MnCoP/NF displays superior electrocatalytic activity and electrochemical stability toward ***/NF only requires an overpotential of 266 mV to deliver the current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2),demonstrating an excellent electrocatalytic activity even better than that of commercial catalysts of IrO_(2)/*** the retention rate of potential can still be maintained at 99.57%after the durability test as long as 240 h,indicating the prominent electrochemical stability of MnCoP/***,MnCoP/NF could be directly used as both cathode and anode in the two-electrode system for overall water splitting,exhibiting a low potential of 1.97 V for reaching 100 mA·cm^(-2).Impressive long-term stability of MnCoP/NF is also observed by limited activity decay after 240-h durability tests at 10 and 100 mA·cm^(-2).Thus,this study illustrates a feasible approach to the rational design of highly active and stable electrocatalyst and also provides valuable insights on the improved electrocatalytic performance of water splitting by Mn doping.

Elytrigia Desv. is widely distributed throughout the world and is represented with species of various levels of ploidy including diploids, tetraploids, hexaploids, octaploids, and decaploids. The distribution pattern of these ploidy levels, however, is not well-defined. In this study, the levels of ploidy for 64 accessions of Elytrigia from 25 countries were determined with microscopic procedures. The results showed that accessions of E. intermedia and E. repens were grouped into three distinct levels of ploidy including diploids, tetraploids and hexaploids. For E. elongata, E. pontica, and E. caespitosa, it was found that two ploidy levels presented, and only one ploidy level was in those of E. hybrid, E. pycnantha, E. pungens, E. juncea, and E. alatavica. Karyotype analysis indicated that the karyotype formula of diploid, tetraploid and hexaploid of E. intermedia was 2n = 2x = 14 = 6m ＋ 6sm ＋ 2st, 2n = 4x = 28 = 2M ＋ 10m ＋ 16sm and 2n = 6x = 42 = 4M ＋ 18m ＋ 20sin, respectively. Furthermore, the karyotype formula of three germplasms in tetraploid of E. intermedia was 2n=4x=28 =2M＋ 10m＋ 16sm, 2n=4x=28=4M＋22m （sat）＋2sm and 2n=4x=28 =4M＋ 12m＋ 12sm （sat）, which were not completely uniform. Therefore, it could be suggested that the studies about chromosome constitution would be helpful for the detail understanding of the diversity of germplasm resource in Elytrigia and promoting the utilization in the crop molecular breeding.

Nanograined(NG)materials often suffer from low thermal stability owing to the high volume fraction of grain boundaries(GBs).Herein,we investigate the possibility of utilizing local chemical ordering(LCO)for improving the thermal stability of NG FeCoNiCrMn highentropy alloys(HE As).NG HE As with two different grain sizes were *** tests and creep test simulations were then performed to reveal the influence of LCO on the mechanical properties and thermal stability of NG HE *** performing hybrid molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations,Cr atoms were found to accumulate at *** analyzing the atomic structure evolution during the deformation process,we found that the formation of LCO effectively stabilized the GBs and inhibited GB *** addition,dislocation nucleation from GBs and dislocation movement was also *** inhibiting effect of LCO on GB movement and dislocation activity is more prominent than in the NG model with smaller grain *** current simulation results suggest a possible strategy for enhancing the thermal stability of NG HEAs for service in a high-temperature environment.

Mechanical and thermal properties of sodium silicate treated moso bamboo particles reinforced PVC composites

The main objective of this research was to study the potential of sodium silicate modification on moso bamboo particles as reinforcements for thermoplastic. Moso bamboo particles were modified with sodium silicate aqueous solutions (of 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 5% and 10% concentrations). The mechanical properties of sodium silicate treated moso bamboo particles reinforced PVC composites (BPPC) were calculated and compared with raw bamboo particles filled samples. The thermal characteristics of the BPPC were studied to investigate the feasibility of sodium silicate treatment on moso bamboo particles. The particle morphology and BPPC microstructure were investigated by scanning electron microscopy. Results showed that the tensile strength and modulus of elasticity of the BPPC increased before the concentration of sodium silicate solution reached 5% and got their maximum values of 15.72 MPa and 2956.80 MPa, respectively at 5% concentration. The modulus of rupture obtained the maximum value of 27.73 MPa at 2% concentration. The mechanical curve decreased as the concentration of solution went higher. Differential scanning calorimetric analysis illustrated that the sodium silicate solution treated BPPC possesses a better compatibility. More uniform dispersion of moso bamboo particles in PVC matrix was obtained after the sodium silicate treatment. Hence, the sodium silicate was a feasible and competitive agent of creating moso bamboo particles reinforced PVC composites.
