To the Editor： Cholesterol granuloma （CG） refers to granulation tissue containing cholesterol crystals and giant cells and is a tbreign body response elicited by local tissues. The pathogenesis of middle ear CG can be explained using the classic obstruction-vacuum theory caused by negative middle ear pressure, The Eustachian tube （ET） plays a decisive role in influencing the gas exchange and maintaining the ventilation and pressure of the middle ear. The traditional treatment is mastoidectomy, routinely combined with middle ear ventilation tube insertion or tube insertion during re-examination after operation. Eustachian tuboplasty by balloon dilation can improve the pathological state of ET via specific mechanisms to achieve functional recovery and satisfactory clinical efficacy.

The synthesis of high value-added chemical products using CO_(2)and CH_(4)is a promising CO_(2)conversion technology that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions while also alleviating the energy crisis.However,problems such as high energy consumption and strict reaction conditions in reforming process hinder the further development of the technology.In this work,carbon-nitrogen based composites were prepared for the first time according to the design principle from morphology to heterojunction,which is innovatively applied in the process of photocatalytic CH4reforming.Firstly,C_(3)N_(4)materials with different dimensions(D) are prepared and applied to a CO_(2)-CH_(4)photocatalytic system.Additionally,the 2D/2D TiO_(2)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterostructure is constructed with the ultrasonic impregnation method to further improve charge generation,transfer,and separation efficiency.It is worth noting that the yield of CO reaches173.80 μmol g^(-1),and the catalytic performance is improved by 1546% compared to bulk C_(3)N_(4).Moreover,the physical and chemical properties of 2D/2D TiO_(2)/g-C_(3)N_(4)materials are studied using a variety of cha racterization methods.Furthermore,the work fu nction and adsorption energy of different C3N4/TiO_(2)models for CO_(2)adsorption are calculated by density functional theory(DFT).Then,a possible catalytic mechanism for photocatalytic CO_(2)and CH_(4) conversion is proposed based on DFT calculations and experimental results.This work provides a new technical route for the rapid conversion of CO_(2)and CH_(4) at room temperature,as well as a new research concept for achieving carbon neutrality.

Aiming at the problem that the asset’s fluctuation influences the borrower’s repayment ability,a loan with a new and flexible repayment method is designed,which depends on the asset value of the borrower.The repayment method can reduce the loan default probability,but it causes the uncertainty of the pay off time.Because the repayment term is related to the regular repayment amount in this method,a boundary for the regular repayment amount is set up in order to avoid too long repayment term.This will balance the benefit of borrowers and lenders and improve the applicability of this method.By establishing a mathematical model of the residual value of the loan,this model can be transformed into an initial-boundary problem of a partial differential equation.The analytic solution and the expected time to pay off the loan are obtained.Finally,numerical analysis are shown.

The practical application of hexagonal ZnIn_(2)S_(4)(ZIS)as a visible-light photocatalyst for hydrogen(H_(2))production is hindered by rapid internal charge recombination.In this study,we successfully synthesized Cu_(2)CoSnS_(4)(CCTS)nanocrystals and loaded them onto the surface of ZIS nanosheets to create a p-n heterojunction photocatalyst.The optimized Cu_(2)CoSnS_(4)/ZnIn_(2)S_(4)(CCTS/ZIS)heterojunction exhibited a significantly higher visible-light photo-catalytic H_(2)evolution rate of 4.90 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1)compared to ZIS and CCTS alone.The enhanced photocatalytic efficiency was attributed to improved electron transfer and charge separation at the heterojunction interface.The formation of p-n heterojunction facilitated the accumulation of valence band electrons in ZIS and conduction band holes in CCTS,effectively suppressing the recombination of photogenerated electrons and holes.Theoretical calculations,spectroscopic,and photoelectrochemical characterizations supported the findings.This work pre-sents a promising approach for designing efficient p-n heterojunction semiconductor photocatalysts for practical applications in visible-light-driven hydrogen evolution.

The oral microbiota is a vital part of the human microbiota that functions in various physiological processes and ishighly relevant to cancers and other diseases. With the alterations of host immune competence, the homeostatic balanceexisting between the oral microbiota and host may be disturbed and result in the development of diseases. Numerousobservations have suggested that small RNAs are key regulators of bacterial pathogenesis and bacteria-host interactions.Further, bacterial small RNAs are considered to be promising biomarkers for the development of novel, and efficacioustherapies for oral dysbiosis. Mechanistic insights into how oral pathogens communicate with other bacteria or host cellsin oral cancers via small RNAs are hot topics of research. Current studies also have begun to elucidate the key role oforal microbiota in the development of systemic diseases. This article discusses existing findings and nascent mechanismsgoverning the small RNA-based interactions between oral microbiota and associated diseases. The knowledge of suchinteractions is key in planning approaches to reverse dysbiosis to achieve health.

Shape control of mesoporous carbon microparticles(MCMPs)is of critical importance;in particular,asymmetric shapes that can yield unique properties have attracted significant attention.However,the tailored synthesis of asymmetric MCMPs with ordered structures remains challenging.Herein,we report a facile route to prepare asymmetric MCMPs by dynamic neutral interface-guided 3D-confined self-assembly(3D-CSA)of block copolymer/homopolymer(BCP/hP)blends,followed by a self-templated selective direct carbonization strategy.BCP/h P Janus microparticles with ordered hierarchical mesostructures were prepared with emulsion solvent evaporation-induced 3D-CSA.The continuous phase of BCP domains was then crosslinked.Composite asymmetric MCMPs are successfully generated after selective carbonization of the crosslinked continuous phase.This method allows tuning the shape of MCMPs easily by varying the blending ratio of BCP/h P.The composite asymmetric MCMPs combine the advantages of asymmetric shape,ordered structure,high specific surface area,chemical inertness and thermal stability and could provide great possibilities for applications in catalysis,drug delivery,energy conversion and storage.

What determines the observational differences of blazars？

We examine the scenario that the Doppler factor determines the observational differences of blazars. Significantly negative correlations are found between the observational synchrotron peak frequency and the Doppler factor. After correcting the Doppler boosting, the intrinsic peak frequency has a tight linear relation with the Doppler factor. It is interesting that this relation is consistent with the scenario that the black hole mass governs both the bulk Lorentz factor and the synchrotron peak frequency. In addition, the distinction between the kinetic jet powers of BL Lac objects and fiat spectrum radio quasars disappears after the boosting factor δ2 is considered. The negative correlation between the peak frequency and the observational isotropic luminosity, known as the blazar sequence, also disappears after the Doppler boosting is corrected. We also find that the correlation between the Compton dominance and the Doppler factor exists for all types of blazars. Therefore, this correlation is unsuitable for examining the external Compton emission dominance.

Obstructive sleep apnea can worsen the prognosis of subarachnoid hemorrhage.Howeve r,the underlying mechanism remains unclear.In this study,we established a mouse model of subarachnoid hemorrhage using the endovascular perforation method and exposed the mice to intermittent hypoxia for 8 hours daily for 2 consecutive days to simulate sleep apnea.We found that sleep apnea aggravated brain edema,increased hippocampal neuron apoptosis,and worsened neurological function in this mouse model of subarachnoid hemorrhage.Then,we established an in vitro HT-22 cell model of hemin-induced subarachnoid hemorrhage/intermittent hypoxia and found that the cells died,and lactate dehydrogenase release increased,after 48 hours.We further investigated the underlying mechanism and found that sleep apnea increased the expression of hippocampal neuroinflammatory factors interleukin-1β,interleukin-18,inte rleukin-6,nuclear factorκB,pyro ptosis-related protein caspase-1,pro-caspase-1,and NLRP3,promoted the prolife ration of astrocytes,and increased the expression of hypoxia-inducible factor 1αand apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD,which are the key proteins in the hypoxia-inducible factor 1α/apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD signaling pathway.We also found that knockdown of hypoxia-inducible factor 1αexpression in vitro greatly reduced the damage to HY22 cells.These findings suggest that sleep apnea aggravates early brain injury after subarachnoid hemorrhage by aggravating neuroinflammation and pyroptosis,at least in part through the hypoxia-inducible factor 1α/apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD signaling pathway.

目的:针对复杂多模态工业过程故障监测存在的问题,充分利用过程数据的局部和非局部几何信息,同时实现数据聚类和低维子空间选择,提高非线性、非高斯多模态过程监测性能。创新点:提出融合局部鉴别正则化软k-均值与贝叶斯推理的多模态过程监测算法。该方法充分利用过程数据的局部和非局部几何信息,较好地发挥了无监督学习和有监督学习的优点,提高了模态数据的分离性和解释性,监测性能良好。方法:该方法分为二个阶段:第一阶段,首先,考虑过程数据的局部和非局部几何信息,提出一种局部保持的正则化软k-均值聚类算法(LPRSKM)。然后,建立有监督学习与无监督学习的统一框架,提出融合LPRSKM与广义线性鉴别分析算法(GELDA)的局部鉴别正则化软k-均值算法(LDRSKM)(图1)。第二阶段,使用核支持向量数据描述(KSVDD)对各局部子空间建立监测统计量及控制限。然后,基于贝叶斯推理方法建立多模态过程全局监测统计量。最后,在TE仿真平台对所提方法进行仿真分析。结论:针对非线性、非高斯的多模态过程监测,提出一种新的数据划分和最优低维子空间选择的迭代算法来提高不同模态数据的分离效果。在此基础上使用KSVDD和贝叶斯推理方法,较好地解决了多个非高斯和非线性的过程模态的监测准确性和可靠性问题。

Objective:This study evaluated the safety and preliminary efficacy of vorolanib,a novel tyrosine kinase inhibitor,for treatment of patients with advanced solid tumors.Methods:During dose escalation,patients received increasing doses of oral vorolanib(50-250 mg once daily)in cycles of four weeks for up to one year.During dose expansion,patients received recommended doses(100 and 200 mg)in 4-week cycles.The primary endpoint was to determine the safety and maximum tolerated dose and/or the recommended phase II dose(RP2 D).The severity and type of adverse drug reactions(ADRs)were assessed using the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events version 4.0.The second endpoint was preliminary efficacy in terms of objective response and progression-free survival(PFS).Results:No dose-limiting toxicity occurred during dose escalation(50-250 mg).Five(26.3%)patients in the escalation cohort(n=19)and 12(48.0%)in the expansion cohort(n=25)experienced grade 3 ADRs.The most common ADRs were hair color changes,fatigue,portal hypertension,hypertriglyceridemia,and proteinuria.During dose expansion,the patients treated with 200 mg and 100 mg(once daily)showed an objective response rate of 22.2%and 5.9%,respectively;the disease control rate was 88.9%and 73.3%,respectively;the median PFS was9.9[95%confidence interval(95%CI):7.4-not reached]months and 3.8(95%CI:1.9-not reached)months,respectively.Conclusions:Oral vorolanib at a dose of 200 mg(once daily)exhibited an acceptable safety profile and favorable clinical benefit for patients with advanced solid tumors.The RP2 D for vorolanib was determined to be 200 mg as a daily regimen.
