Roles of nanoparticles in arsenic mobility and microbial community composition in arsenic-enriched soils

Environmental effects of nano remediation engineering of arsenic(As)pollution need to be *** this study,the roles of Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)nanoparticles(NPs)on the microbial mediated As mobilization from As contaminated soil were *** addition of Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)NPs restrained As(V)release,and stimulated As(Ⅲ)***(V)concentration decreased by 94% and 93% after Fe_(2)O_(3)addition,and decreased by 89% and 45% after Ti O_(2)addition compared to the Biotic and Biotic+Acetate(amended with sodium acetate)controls,*** maximum values of As(Ⅲ)were 20.5 and 27.1μg/L at 48 d after Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)NPs addition,respectively,and were higher than that in Biotic+Acetate control(12.9μg/L).The released As co-precipitated with Fe in soils in the presence of Fe_(2)O_(3)NPs,but adsorbed on TiO_(2)NPs in the presence of TiO_(2)***,the addition of NPs amended with sodium acetate as the electron donor clearly promoted As(V)reduction induced by *** NPs addition changed the relative abundance of soil bacterial community,while Proteobacteria(42.8%-70.4%),Planctomycetes(2.6%-14.3%),and Firmicutes(3.5%-25.4%)were the dominant microorganisms in *** potential As/Fe reducing bacteria were related to Pseudomonas,Geobacter,Desulfuromonas,and *** addition of Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)NPs induced to the decrease of arr A *** results indicated that the addition of NPs had a negative impact on soil microbial population in a long *** findings offer a relatively comprehensive assessment of Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)NPs effects on As mobilization and soil bacterial communities.

Forster resonance energy transfer(FRET)is a widely used spectroscopic *** development of donor-acceptor combinations is essential to advance this *** make the energy transfer efficiency independent of the external environment,we explored the potential of constructing donor—acceptor combinations with lanthanide ion-doped nanoparticles(LNPs),in which the 4f electrons of the lanthanide ions are shielded by the 5s and 6p ***-radiative energy transfer between LNPs was demonstrated in self-assembled nanostructures and core-shell structure of LNPs was used to control the distance between donor and acceptor in self-assembled *** emission intensity ratio of donor and acceptor illustrates that the energy transfer efficiency decreases significantly with increasing distance and the effective energy transfer distance is 8.5 nm,showing the potential of using LNPs as donor-acceptor pairs in the construction of distance-dependent energy transfer system.

Spatiotemporal features and vertical structures of four types of mesoscale eddies in the Kuroshio Extension region

Except for conventional mesoscale eddies,there are also abundant warm cyclonic eddies(WCEs)and cold anticyclonic eddies(CAEs)in the global *** on the global mesoscale eddy trajectory atlas product,satellite altimetric and remote sensing datasets,and three-dimensional temperature/salinity dataset,spatiotemporal features of WCEs and CAEs are compared with traditional cold cyclonic eddies and warm anticyclonic eddies in the Kuroshio Extension(KE;28°−43°N,140°−170°E)*** of abnormal eddies like radius,amplitude,eddy kinetic energy,and proportion in all eddies behave in significant asymmetry on the north and south sides of the KE *** eddies in the general sense,temporal feature analysis reveals that it is more favorable to the formation and maintenance of WCEs and CAEs in summer and autumn,while winter is the *** spatiotemporal variation of abnormal eddies is likely because the marine environment varying with time and ***,proportion of abnormal eddies increases rapidly in decaying stage during the whole eddy lifespan,resulting in smaller average radius,amplitude,sea surface temperature anomaly and sea surface height anomaly compared to normal *** three-dimensional composite structures for four types of eddies expose that the difference between abnormal and conventional eddies is not just limited to the sea surface,but also exists within the water below the sea *** structures also indicate that the anomalous temperature signal is confined in the water from the sea surface to layers at about 30 m in the KE region.

Uptrend of the Western North Pacific Tropical Cyclone Outflow Height during 1959-2021

Relatively little is known about the impact of global warming on the tropical cyclone(TC)outflow,despite its large contribution to TC *** this study,based on the International Best Track Archive for Climate Stewardship(IBTrACS)dataset and ERA5 reanalysis data,we show that the TC outflow height has risen significantly(48.20±22.18 m decades-1)in the past decades(1959-2021)over the western North Pacific,and the rising trend tends to be sharper for stronger TCs(the uptrend of severe typhoon is 61.09±40.92 m decades-1).This rising trend of the outflow height explains the contradiction between the decrease trend of the TC outflow temperature and the increase trend of the atmospheric troposphere ***,possible contribution of the TC outflow height uptrend to TC intensity has also been *** results show that the rise of outflow height leads to the decrease of outflow temperature,and thus an increased difference between underlying sea surface temperature(SST)and TC outflow temperature,which eventually favors the increase of TC intensity.

High speed sintering,a new powder-bed fusion additive manufacturing technology,utilizes infrared lights(IR)to intensely heat and melt polymer *** presence of defects such as porosity,which is associated with particle coalescence,is highly dependdent on the level of energy *** study investigate the influcence of energy input on porosity and its subsequent effects on the mechanical properties and microstructures of PEBA *** parts were manufactured with a variety of lamp powers,resulting in a range of energy input levels spanning from low to ***,they underwent testing using Archimedes’method,followed by tensile *** porosity,mechanical characteristics,and energy input exhibit a strong correlation;inadequate energy input was the primary cause of pore *** the reduced IR light power resulted in the following outcomes:porosity,ultimate tensile strength,and elongation of 1.37%,7.6 MPa,and 194.2%,*** the energy input was further increased,the porosity was reduced to as low as 0.05%and the ultimate tensile strength and elongation were increased to their peak values of 233.8%and 9.1 MPa,respectively.

Formal Modeling of Frame Selection in Asynchronous TSN Communications

The asynchronous time-sensitive networking(TSN) based on IEEE 802.1Qcr is expected to be a promising solution for the asynchronous transmissions of safety-critical flows without the support of clock *** the asynchronous traffic shaping(ATS) mechanism is adopted to meet the deadline requirements for transmissions of safety-critical flow, it is necessary to formally verify the real-time properties and corresponding network ***, it is still unclear how to build an efficient formal model to evaluate different frame selection methods during the ATS scheduling process, which originate from the dominations of priority or eligibility time. In this paper, we present a formal modeling framework to compare the impacts of different frame selection on transmission sequence under the ATS mechanism. According to the priority level(p ATS) or eligibility time(e ATS) for flows, two transmission selection methods in ATS are modeled and compared. Then, we verify the real-time properties of ATS. The result shows that the shaping-for-free property can be satisfied with the p ATS method but can not be fulfilled with the e ATS method. Besides, the timing analysis results illustrate that the e ATS method can provide more fairness than the p ATS method for the transmission of low-priority flows in TSN networks.

The purpose of this study was to characterize mulberry leaf instant tea(MLIT)powder prepared from the'Longsang No.1'(Morus abla *** 1)mulberry leaves in Heilongjiang Province(China)and assess its obesity-preventing/relieving effects.A total of 174 compounds including quercetin,chlorogenic acid,1-deoxyecomycin(1-DNJ)related to antihyperlipidemia effects were identified from the MLIT *** treatment reversed the Lee's index,fat coefficient,and serum biochemical parameters in both the obesity relieving and obesity preventing mice fed with high-fat *** the obesity relieving experiment,the relative abundance of Desulfovibrio in mouse feces decreased after both 0.5%and 1%MLIT *** obesity preventing experiments,mouse with different amount of MLIT treatments showed increased relative abundance of Akkermansia,Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus,while Deferribacteres,Desulfobacterota *** beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract of mice treated with MLIT *** study proved that MLIT had antihyperlipidemia potential via modulating intestinal microbiota in mice.

RNA m6A dynamic modification mediated by nucleuslocalized FTO is involved in follicular reserve

In eukaryotic organisms,the most common internal modification of messenger RNA(m RNA)is N6-methyladenosine(m6A).This modification can be dynamically and reversibly controlled by specific enzymes known as m6A writers and *** fat-mass and obesity-associated protein(FTO)catalyzes RNA demethylation and plays a critical role in various physiological and pathological *** research identified dynamic alterations in both m6A and FTO during the assembly of primordial follicles,with an inverse relationship observed for m6A levels and nuclear-localized FTO *** of Fto small interfering RNA(si RNA)altered the expression of genes related to cell proliferation,hormone regulation,and cell chemotaxis,and affected RNA alternative *** of the full-length Fto gene led to changes in m6A levels,alternative splicing of Cdk5,cell proliferation,cell cycle progression,and proportion of primordial ***,overexpression of Fto lacking a nuclear localization signal(NLS)did not significantly alter m6A levels or primordial follicle *** findings suggest that FTO,localized in the nucleus but not in the cytoplasm,regulates RNA m6A demethylation and plays a role in cell proliferation,cell cycle progression,and primordial follicle *** results highlight the potential of m6A and its eraser FTO as possible biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
