The smart grid concept is key to the energy revolution that has been taking place in recent *** Grids have been present in energy research since their ***,the scarcity of data from different energy sources,hardware power,or co-simulation environments has hindered their *** advances in multi-agent-based systems,the possibility of simulating the behavior of different energy sources,combining real building consumption,and simulated data,storage batteries and vehicle charging points,has opened *** development has resulted in much research published using both simulated and physical *** these investigations show that the main problem is that the machine learning algorithms do not fully match the real behavior,it is complex to use them to replicate the different actions to be *** paper aims to combine the approach of behavior prediction with state-of-the-art techniques,such as deep learning and deep reinforcement learning,to simulate unknown or critical system scenarios.A very important element in smart grids is the possibility of maintaining consumption within specific ranges(flexibility).For this purpose,we have made use of Tensorflow libraries that predict energy consumption and deep reinforcement learning to select the optimal actions to be performed in our *** developed platform is flexible enough to include new technologies such as smart batteries,electric vehicles,etc.,and it is oriented to real-time operation,being applied in an on-going real project such as the European ebalance-plus project.

This paper presents a methodology for analytical calculation and computational simulation using the finite element method for piezoresistive graphite sensor element on flexible polymer substrate,A4 *** computer simulation aims to find the region of greatest mechanical tension and deflection of the circular diaphragm set in the circumference *** steps for simulation are geometry definition,mesh generation,inclusion of material physical properties and simulation *** mathematical modeling of maximum mechanical stress and deflection is described analytically and *** analytical calculations were compared with the computer simulation and presented a relative percentage error of 3.38%for the maximum *** results show that the piezoresistor should be positioned at the edges of the circular diaphragm to take advantage of maximum mechanical stress by defining the best location for graphite film deposition for sensor device designs and fabrications.

The aim of this paper is to describe and analyse the behaviour of heart rate variability(HRV)during constant-load,high-intensity exercise using a time frequency analysis(Wavelet Transform).Eleven elite cyclists took part in the study(age:18.6±3.0 years;VO_(2max):4.88±0.61 litres·min^(-1)).Initially,all subjects performed an incremental cycloergometer test to determine load power in a constant load-test(379.55±36.02 W;89.0%).HRV declined dramatically from the start of testing(ppower spectral density within the LF band mirrored that of total energy,recording a significant decrease from the outset LF peaks fell rapidly thereafter,remaining stable until the end of the ***-VHF fell sharply in the first 20 to 30 *** relative weighting(%) of HF-VHF was inverted with the onset of fatigue,[1.6%at the start,7.1(pphase,and 43.1%(ppeak) displayed three phases:a moderate initial increase,followed by a slight fall,thereafter increasing to the end of the *** LF/HF-VHF ratio increased at the start,later falling progressively until the end of the first phase and remaining around minimal values until the end of the test.

The concept for space interferometry from polar or Equatorial Circular Medium Earth Orbits(the pECMEO concept) is a promising way to acquire the image of the"shadow"of the event horizon of Sagittarius A*with an angular resolution of circa 5 microarcseconds. The concept is intended to decrease the size of the main reflector of the instrument to about 3 m using a precise orbit reconstruction based on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) navigation, inter-satellite range and range-rate measurements, and data from the Attitude and Orbit Determination System (AODS). The paper provides the current progress on the definition of the subsystems required for the concept on the basis of simulations, radio regulations, and available technology. The paper proposes the requirement for the localization of the phase centre of the main reflector. The paper provides information about the visibility of GNSS satellites and the needed accuracies of the AODS. The paper proposes the frequency plan for the instrument and its Inter-Satellite Links (ISLs).The concepts for measurement of range and range-rate using ISLs (as well as for the data exchange at these ISLs) are presented. The block diagram of the interferometer is described and its sensitivity is estimated. The link budget for both ISLs is given as well as their critical components. The calculated measurement quality factors are given. The paper shows the expected performance of the sub-systems of the interferometer. The requirements for the localization of the main reflectors and the information about the availability of the GNSS satellites are based on the simulations results. The frequency plan is obtained according to the pECMEO concept and taking into account the radio regulations. The existing technology defines the accuracies of the AODS, both the link budgets and the fundamental measurement accuracies for ISLs, and the sensitivity of the instrument. The main application of hydrocyclones in most industry sectors is the separation of particles from *** thickening,however,the separation properties of the cyclone should be adjustable,which requires a different operating ***,we investigated an add-on thickening module,consisting of a conical plug and a secondary vortex finder in the underflow of the *** scale experiments are carried out to investigate the function of the concept of annular gap modification by the use of the thickening *** the second step,we transferred this concept to industrial scale for field tests at a municipal wastewater treatment *** the field tests,geometrical properties(annular gap modification)and operational parameters(volume flow rate,sludge type)were *** results show that thickening in terms of increasing the total solids content of sludge is possible with the modified *** the field tests,a thickening factor(total solids content of thickened sludge related to feed sludge)of 1.31(average)was reached for digested ***,a hydrocyclone could be a promising addition in wastewater treatment plants for dewatering of sludge.

Germinal centers(GCs)are essential for the establishment of long-lasting antibody *** B cells rely on post-transcriptional RNA mechanisms to translate activation-associated transcriptional programs into functional changes in the cell ***,the critical proteins driving these key mechanisms are still ***,we show that the RNA binding proteins TIA1 and TIAL1 are required for the generation of long-lasting GC ***1-and TIAL1-deficient GC B cells fail to undergo antigen-mediated positive selection,expansion and differentiation into B-cell clones producing high-affinity ***,TIA1 and TIAL1 control the transcriptional identity of dark-and light-zone GC B cells and enable timely expression of the prosurvival molecule ***,we demonstrate here that TIA1 and TIAL1 are key players in the post-transcriptional program that selects high-affinity antigen-specific GC B cells.

Out of Africa: Miocene Dispersal, Vicariance, and Extinction within Hyacinthaceae Subfamily Urgineoideae

Disjunct distribution patterns in plant lineages are usually explained according to three hypotheses： vicariance, geodispersal, and long-distance dispersal. The role of these hypotheses is tested in Urgineoideae （Hyacinthaceae）, a subfamily disjunctly distributed in Africa, Madagascar, India, and the Mediterranean region. The potential ancestral range, dispersal routes, and factors responsible for the current distribution in Urgineoideae are investigated using divergence time estimations. Urgineoideae originated in Southern Africa approximately 48.9 Mya. Two independent dispersal events in the Western Mediterranean region possibly occurred during Early Oligocene and Miocene （29.9-8.5 Mya） via Eastern and Northwestern Africa. A dispersal from Northwestern Africa to India could have occurred between 16.3 and 7.6 Mya. Vicariance and extinction events occurred approximately 21.6 Mya. Colonization of Madagascar occurred between 30.6 and 16.6 Mya, after a single transoceanic dispersal event from Southern Africa. The current disjunct distributions of Urgineoideae are not satisfactorily explained by Gondwana fragmentation or dispersal via boreotropical forests, due to the younger divergence time estimates. The flattened winged seeds of Urgineoideae could have played an important role in long- distance dispersal by strong winds and big storms, whereas geodispersal could have also occurred from Southern Africa to Asia and the Mediterranean region via the so-called arid and high-altitude corridors.

A protocol of polymerase chain reaction-random amplified polymorphic DNAs (pCR-RApDs) was established to analyse the gene diversity and genotype identification for clones of Sequoia sempervirens (D. Don) Endl. in Chile. Ten (out of 34) clones from introduction trial located in Voipir-Villarrica, Chile, were studied. The pCR-RApDs technique and a modified hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) protocol were used for genomic DNA extraction. The pCR tests were carried out employing 10-mer random primers. The amplification products were detected by electrophoresis in agarose gels. Forty nine polymorphic bands were obtained with the selected primers (BG04, BF07, BF12, BF13, and BF14) and were ordered according to their molecular size. The genetic similarity between samples was calculated by the Jaccard index and a dendrogram was con- structed using a cluster analysis of unweighted pair group method using arithmetic averages (UpGMA). Of the primers tested, 5 (out of 60) RApD primers were selected for their reproducibility and high polymorphism. A total of 49 polymorphic RApD bands were detected out of 252 bands. The genetic similarity analysis demonstrates an extensive genetic variability between the tested clones and the dendrogram depicts the genetic relationships among the clones, suggesting a geographic relationship. The results indicate that the RApD markers permitted the identification of the assayed clones, although they are derived from the same geo- graphic origin.

purpose:To examine the effects of a school-based karate intervention on academic achievement,psychosocial functioning,and physical fitness in children aged 7-8 ***:Twenty schools in 5 different European countries(2 second-grade classrooms per school)participated in a cluster randomized controlled trial(Sport at School trial).participants were assigned to either a control group,which continued with their habitual physical education lessons,or to an intervention group,which replaced these lessons with a 1-year karate intervention(Karate Mind and Movement program).A total of 721 children(344 girls and 377 boys,7.4±0.5 years old,mean±SD)completed the study,of which 333 and 388 were assigned to the control group and intervention group,*** included academic performance(average grade),psychosocial functioning(Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire for parents),and different markers of physical fitness(cardiorespiratory fitness,balance,and flexibility).Results:The intervention provided small but significant benefits compared to the control group for academic achievement(d=0.16;p=0.003),conduct problems(d=-0.28;p=0.003),cardiorespiratory fitness(d=0.36;pp=0.015).There was a trend towards significant benefits for flexibility(d=0.24;p=0.056).No significant benefits were observed for other variables,including psychosocial difficulties,emotional symptoms,hyperactivity/inattention,peer problems,or prosocial behaviour(all p>0.05).Conclusion:A 1-year school-based karate intervention was effective in improving academic achievement,conduct problems,and physical fitness in primary school *** results support the inclusion of karate during physical education lessons.
