A major issue in the development of Lead halide perovskites is the assessment of the crystal structure of the samples,due to their typically limited time-stability,and the understanding of the role of external factors that can induce a crystal phase transformation(such as humidity,intense light flux,temperature,etc.).In this perspective,it is of utmost importance to have at disposal a fast and reliable experimental tool able to give an immediate indication of the polymorph of the sample with the possibility to integrate in-situ measurements for constant *** this paper we propose Raman spectroscopy as the ideal technique to solve this *** vibrational analysis of CsPbI3 in the a-phase and 5-phase and of the Cs4PbI6 secondary phase is reported and all the vibrational modes are assigned by comparing experimental spectra of the phases to Raman modes calculated within the DFT ***,the mechanism of laser induced phase degradation was studied using in-situ Raman measurements providing new insights on the secondary phase generated during the process.

Developing cost-effective and rational hole transporting materials is critical for fabricating high-performance perovskite solar cells(PSCs) and to promote their commercial *** have designed and developed pyridine(core) bridging diphenylamine-substituted carbazole(arm) small molecules,named as 2,6 PyDANCBZ and 3,5 *** linking topology of core and arm on their photophysical,thermal,semiconducting and photovoltaic properties were probed *** found that the 2,6 PyDANCBZ shows higher mobility and conductivity along with uniform film-forming ability as compared to 3,5 *** PSCs fabricated with 2,6 PyDANCBZ supersede the performance delivered by Spiro-OMeTAD,and importantly also gave improved long-term *** findings put forward small molecules based on core-arm linking topology for cost-effective hole selective layers designing.

Salivary Gland Choristoma of the Middle Ear and Review of the Literature

Conductive hearing loss due to middle ear masses is uncommon and usually diagnosed after biopsy. We present a case of a permanent facial palsy occurred following an uneventful biopsy during an exploratory tympanotomy in a salivary gland choristoma of the middle ear. Most salivary gland choristomas have been found in the head and neck. Its location in the ear is extremely rare, and thus we present the 38th case in English and non-English literature from the first publication by Taylor in 1961. Complete surgical removal of salivary gland choristomas of the middle ear is indicated when may not result in permanent damage to the facial nerve. Only biopsy and observation are recommended when the mass is intimately associated with the facial nerve or there are unsafe facial nerve abnormalities. Although the facial nerve is involved in 40% of cases, transient or even permanent facial palsies are exceptional. The reactivation of latent herpes virus in the facial canal may be involved in facial palsy’ etiology following minimal and uneventful middle ear surgery like a biopsy rather than nerve injury related to facial canal malformations.
