将水产养殖与农业种植相结合(稻渔综合种养)是提高农产品产量、推动农业绿色发展的重要途径.然而,稻渔综合种养对多营养级土壤生物多样性和多重功能的影响仍然未知.通过对中国19个地区(~1300 km跨度)的131个农田(包含水稻单作和稻虾综合种养)进行野外调查发现,与水稻单作相比,稻虾综合种养导致土壤多营养级生物多样性(如真菌vs.无脊椎动物)和生态系统多重服务功能(如支持vs.调节服务)的权衡.本研究为综合评估稻虾综合种养的经济和环境效益提供了新的见解,呼吁在区域范围内合理布局水稻单作和稻虾综合种养面积以优化农田多重生态系统服务功能.

We have studied some aspects of Besdolus ravizzarum biology in the Apen- nines. This stonefly has a very localized distribution in southeastern France and northern Italy. This species is considered threatened. For this reason it is especially relevant to improve knowledge about its natural history, previously unknown. Despite the large size of nymphs, this species shows a univoltine life cycle. The growth is slow but uniform from October to April or May when the short flight period occurs. The analysis of the gut con- tents indicates this species is a predator, feeding mainly on Baetidae and Chironomidae. It is notable that the development of this carnivorous species through cold periods coincides with the season with higher richness and density of potential prey in Apennine streams. Further studies are needed to improve knowledge of the distribution of the species and to start planning effective conservation efforts.

Ionospheric delay modeling is not only important for Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)based space weather study and monitoring,but also an efficient tool to speed up the convergence time of Precise Point Positioning(PPP).In this study,a novel model,denoted as Quasi-4-Dimension Ionospheric Modeling(Q4DIM)is proposed for wide-area high precision ionospheric delay correction.In Q4DIM,the Line Of Sight(LOS)ionospheric delays from a GNSS station network are divided into different clusters according to not only the location of latitude and longitude,but also satellite elevation and azimuth.Both Global Ionosphere Map(GIM)and Slant Ionospheric Delay(SID)models that are traditionally used for wide-area and regional ionospheric delay modeling,respectively,can be regarded as the special cases of Q4DIM by defining proper grids in latitude,longitude,elevation,and azimuth.Thus,Q4DIM presents a resilient model that is capable for both wide-area coverage and high precision.Four different sets of clusters are defined to illustrate the properties of Q4DIM based on 200 eUReF Permanent Network(ePN)stations.The results indicate that Q4DIM is compatible with the GIM products.Moreover,it is proved that by inducting the elevation and azimuth angle dependent residuals,the precision of the 2-dimensional GIM-like model,i.e.,Q4DIM 2-Dimensional(Q4DIM-2D),is improved from around 1.5 Total electron Content Units(TeCU)to better than 0.5 TeCU.In addition,treating Q4DIM as a 4-dimensional matrix in latitude,longitude,elevation,and azimuth,whose sparsity is less than 5%,can result in its feasibility in a bandwidth-sensitive applications,e.g.,satellite-based Precising Point Positioning Real-Time Kinematic(PPP-RTK)service.Finally,the advantages of Q4DIM in PPP over the 2-dimensional models are demonstrated with the one month's data from 30 ePN stations in both high solar activity year 2014 and low solar activity year 2020.

In this study, 10% of all registered fishermen in the coastal towns of Navachiste in Sinaloa, in northwestern Mexico, answered a survey designed to collect data on their perceptions of the following topics: the impact of turtle meat consumption;human health;bycatch;illegal turtle fishing;the illegal sea turtle market;the lo-cal economy;pollution;environmental education;the success of protective legislation;and sea turtle-based ec-otourism. Perceptions were analyzed using the fuzzy logic method through classification into 5 fuzzy member-ship sets: VL, very low;L, low;M, moderate;H, high;VH, very high. The 9 topics generated decision areas upon applying fuzzy inference that revealed the membership level of the answers in each fuzzy set. The eco-nomic potential of sea turtle-based ecotourism and the economic profitability of the illegal turtle meat market were perceived as VL. Conservation legislation was perceived as H, although inefficiently applied due to cor-ruption. ecotourism and impacts on sea turtles were perceived as VL, because they were deemed unprofitable activities at the individual and community levels. environmental education was perceived as L, because it cen-ters on nesting, hatching and releasing turtles and is directed at elementary and middle-school students. While fishers perceive a serious negative impact of fishing activities on sea turtles in the San Ignacio-Navachiste- Macapule area, they do not see themselves individually as part of the problem. Achieving sea turtle conserva-tion in this region requires: suitable ecotourism infrastructure, government investments in promotion, and stud-ies to estimate the minimum number of tourists needed to assure profitability.

Finite volumes of magma moving in confinement, store hydraulic potential energy for the generation,control and transmission of power. The Pascal's principle in a hydraulic jack arrangement is used to model the vertical and lateral growth of sills. The small input piston of the hydraulic jack is equivalent to the feeder dike, the upper large expansible piston equivalent to the magmatic chamber and the inertial force of the magma in the dike is the input force. This arrangement is particularly relevant to the case of sills expanding with blunt tips, for which rapid fracture propagation is inhibited. Hydraulic models concur with experimental data that show that lateral expansion of magma into a sill is promoted when the vertical ascent of magma through a feeder dike reaches the bottom contact with an overlying, flat rigid-layer. At this point, the magma is forced to decelerate, triggering a pressure wave through the conduit caused by the continued ascent of magma further down(fluid-hammer effect). This pressure wave can provide overpressure enough to trigger the initial hydraulic lateral expansion of magma into an incipient sill, and still have enough input inertial force left to continue feeding the hydraulic system. The lateral expansion underneath the strong impeding layer, causes an area increase and thus, further hydraulic amplification of the input inertial force on the sides and roof of the incipient sill, triggering further expansion in a self-reinforcing process. Initially, the lateral pressure increase is larger than that in the roof allowing the sill to expand. However, expansion eventually increases the total integrated force on the roof allowing its uplift into either a laccolith, if the roof preserves continuity, or into a piston bounded by a circular set of fractures. Hydraulic models for shallow magmatic chambers, also suggest that laccolith-like intrusions require the existence of a self-supported chamber roof. The collision of a divergent ocean ridge may evolve into two end cases： in the continuity of ocean-floor subduction, or in the detachment of the subducted plate. The northern Patagonia active plate margin has the unique situation that in Cenozoic time it has been subjected to two divergent ridge collisions, each one representing one of the end members. The Neogene Antarctica-Nazca divergent ridge collision evolved as a continuous ocean-floor subduction system, promoting a magmatic hiatus at the arc axis, the obduction of part of the ridge ocean-floor in the fore-arc, and basaltic volcanism in the back-arc. In contrast, the Paleogene Farallon-Aluk divergent ridge collision evolved into a transform margin, with the detachment and sinking of the Aluk plate and the development of a large slab window. As in the previous case, this collision promoted a magmatic hiatus at the arc axis, but the tectono-magmatic scenario changed to postorogenic synextensional volcanism that spread to the former fore-arc （basalt, andesite, rhyolite） and former back-arc （bimodal ignimbrite flare-up, basalt）. Geochemistry of this slab window synextensional volcanism shows more MORB-like basalts towards the former fore-arc, and MORB-OIB-Iike basalts towards the former back-arc. Instead, an isolated undeformable crustal block in the former back-arc, with an ＂epeirogenic＂ response to the slab window and extensional regime, was covered by OIB-type basalts after uplift. Major elements show that slab window basalts reach TiO2 values up to 3 wt%, as compared with the top value of 1.5 wt% of arc magmas. Besides, the MgO with respect to （FeOt ＋ A1203） ratio helps to distinguish slab window magma changes from the former fore-arc to the former back-arc and also with respect to the ＂epeirogenic＂ block. Higher contents of HFS elements such as Nb and Ta also help to distinguish this slab window from arc magmas and also, to distinguish slab window magma changes from the former fore-arc to the former back-arc and ＂epeirogenic＂ block settings. The digital transformation in agriculture introduces new challenges in terms of data,knowledge and technology adoption due to critical interoperability issues,and also challenges regarding the identification of the most suitable data sources to be exploited and the information models that must be used.DeMeTeR(Building an Interoperable,Data-Driven,Innovative and Sustainable european Agri-Food Sector)addresses these challenges by providing an overarching solution that integrates various heterogeneous hardware and software resources(e.g.,devices,networks,platforms)and enables the seamless sharing of data and knowledge throughout the agri-food chain.This paper introduces the main concepts of DeMeTeR and its reference architecture to address the data sharing and interoperability needs of farmers,which is validated via two rounds of 20 large-scale pilots along the DeMeTeR lifecycle.This paper elaborates on the two pilots carried out in region of Murcia in Spain,which target the arable crops sector and demonstrate the benefits of the deployed DeMeTeR reference architecture.

Linking the hierarchical decision- making process of fruit choice and the phenotypic selection strength on fruit traits by birds

Aims Animals in search of fleshy fruits forage mostly according to the number of available fruits and then select individual fruits based on reward quality or advertised subtle traits.This hierarchical pat-tern of fruit choice would be translated into patterns of selection strength mediated by frugivores on fruit display traits.Thus,frugi-vores would exert higher selection pressures on fruit crop size and lower selection pressures on within-plant variation of phenotypic traits(infructescence,fruit and seed size).However,no attempt to link this behavioral mechanism of hierarchical trait selection to natural selection patterns has been made.Therefore,we sought to determine the relationship between the hierarchical decision-mak-ing process of fruit choice and patterns of natural selection on fruit traits.Methods We recorded bird visits and measured fruit-related traits(fruit crop size,fruit diameter and seed weight)in a natural population of Psychotria carthagenensis,a bird-dispersed treelet,in a Yungas for-est from Argentina.To assess phenotypic selection patterns on fruit display traits,we performed multivariate selection analysis,and to explicitly identify a hierarchy of fruit trait choice we used a classifi-cation tree as a predictive model.Important Findings Selection patterns on fruit display traits were in agreement with a hierarchical process of fruit choice made by birds.The strength of directional selection on the total number of fruits in a plant(i.***.fruit crop size)was nearly two times higher than on fruit size,and the classification tree analysis supported this hierarchical pattern.Our results support previous evidence that seed dispersers shape fruit crop size with higher intensity than subindividual fruit traits.Also,high levels of subindividual phenotypic variation of fruit display traits may be explained by relaxed selection pressures exerted by frugivores.empirical studies also show that this pattern may consti-tute a general phenomenon among other plant-animal interactions.

De-novo hepatocellular carcinoma after pediatric living donor liver transplantation

De-novo malignancies carry an incidence ranging between 3%-26% after transplant and account for the second highest cause of post-transplant mortality behind cardiovascular disease. While the majority of de-novo malignancies after transplant usually consist of skin cancers, there has been an increasing rate of solid tumor cancers over the last 15 years. Although, recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is well understood among patients transplanted for HCC, there are increasing reports of de-novo HCC in those transplanted for a non-HCC indication. The proposed pathophysiology for these cases has been mainly connected to the presence of advanced graft fibrosis or cirrhosis and always associated with the presence of hepatitis B or C virus. We report the first known case of de-novo HCC in a recipient, 14 years after a pediatric living related donor liver transplantation for end-stage liver disease due to biliary atresia without the presence of hepatitis B or C virus before and after transplant. We present this case report to increase the awareness of this phenomenon and address on the utility for screening and surveillance of hepatocellular carcinoma among these individuals. One recommendation is to use similar guidelines for screening, diagnosis, and treatment for HCC as those used for primary HCC in the pre-transplant patient, focusing on those recipients who have advanced fibrosis in the allograft, regardless of etiology.
