Bio-inspired helicoidal composite laminates, inspired by the intricate helical structures found in nature, present a promising frontier for enhancing the mechanical properties of structural designs. Hence, this study provides a comprehensive investigation into the nonlinear free vibration and nonlinear bending behavior of bio-inspired composite plates. The inverse hyperbolic shear deformation theory(IHsDT) of plates is employed to characterize the displacement field, with the incorporation of Green-Lagrange nonlinearity. The problem is modeled using the C0finite element method(FEM), and an in-house code is developed in the MATLAB environment to solve it numerically. Various helicoidal layup configurations including helicoidal recursive(HR), helicoidal exponential(HE), helicoidal semi-circular(Hs), linear helicoidal(LH), and Fibonacci helicoidal(FH)with different layup sequences and quasi-isotropic configurations are studied. The model is validated, and parametric studies are conducted. These studies investigate the effects of layup configurations, side-to-thickness ratio, modulus ratios, boundary conditions, and loading conditions at different load amplitudes on the nonlinear vibration and nonlinear bending behaviors of bio-inspired composite plates. The results show that the laminate sequence exerts a substantial impact on both nonlinear natural frequencies and nonlinear bending behaviors. Moreover, this influence varies across different side-to-thickness ratios and boundary conditions of the bio-inspired composite plate.

Hydrodynamic cavitating flows usually consist of 3-D intense vortical flows that are detached from solid *** vortical flows normally generate heaps of cavitating flow structures,which,in turn,govern the location of cavitation erosion before ***,this study introduces a new numerical approach based on the improved delayed detached eddy simulation(IDDEs)turbulence modeling for predicting cavitating ***,the solution of compressible Eulerian-Eulerian two-phase flow and the IDDEs turbulence model was linked to the microjet hypothesis and unsteady behavior of pressure and vapor volume to predict the corresponding erosion of cavitating *** method for cavitation erosion prediction,a modified version taken from previous studies,was applied as a post-processing *** validation of cavitating flow predictions was performed for the first time on the Grenoble axisymmetric nozzle by comparing them with 21 photos of cavitation from the previous experimental *** results showed that the present numerical approach estimated various features of hydrodynamic cavitation well,including shedding processes and the length,shape,and collapse of cavitating *** the numerical analysis,three main stages were detected for the present cavitating flow,and the vorticity-cavitation interactions were investigated by the vorticity transport *** streak-like and tube-like cavitating(sTLIC and TULIC)structures were introduced in the second stage,initiated by flow instability,and entirely governed by corresponding turbulent flow *** collapse of these cavitating structures is one of the primary sources of cavitation erosion on lower and upper *** results of the numerical erosion predictions were compared with those of the previous erosion tests on the Grenoble axisymmetric *** numerical performance was achieved in predicting the location and intensity of cavitation erosion.

In the present investigation, the nano- and micro-sized powders were synthesized by stoichiometric contents of magnesium and aluminum nitrates using combustion–oxidation method. The study was conducted over a wide range of operating conditions, in terms of fuel ratio and calcination temperature. The characteristics of magnesium aluminate powders were studied by differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetry (DTA–TG), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. The thermal stability of powders was evaluated by calcination at different temperatures. Differences of the specific surface areas were related to the composition and crystallite size. The importance of fuel ratio and calcination temperature to achieve the nano- and micro-sized oxide was discussed in detail. The fuel ratio of 0.56 and calcination at 800 ℃ provided the conditions to achieve the nano-scale magnesium aluminate powders, smaller than 20 nm. The application of presented algorithm can be an important tool for control of particle size in the nano- and micro-scale.

Abu Rusheid area lie in the south of the Eastern Desert of Egypt and comprises(1)ophiolitic mélange,consisting of ultramafic rocks and layered metagabbros in metasedimentary matrix(2)cataclastic group,consisting of protomylonites,mylonites,ultramylonites and silicified ultramylonites(3)monzogranites(4)pegmatite pockets,quartz veins and postgranite *** on the monzogranites and the xenoliths of mylonite rocks from the geochemical and mineralogical points of view introduces a new view about the genesis of the related ***,the monzogranites have a metaluminous character and were crystallized under moderate water-vapor pressure around 3 kb and temperatures of 750–800°*** monzogranites are altered along strike-slip faults exhibiting propylitic,with slightly sodic metasomatism and record high radioactive *** average uranium and thorium(U and Th)contents in fresh monzogranites,mylonite xenolith and altered monzogranites are(7.3,21.20),(40.36,94.82),(60.34 and 347.88 ppm),*** high radioactivities are attributed to the presence of kasolite,uranothorite,cerite,fluorite,zircon,apatite and *** mylonite xenolith is higher in radioactivity than the surrounding fresh monzogranites,reflecting U and Th enrichment before emplacement of the monzogranites,then the latter were subjected to right lateral strike-slip faulting with producing hydrothermal solution rich in Th and U.

The properties orAl based nanocomposite metal foams and their corrosion behaviors were investigated in this study. For this, the composite metal foams with different relative densities （porosity） reinforced with alumina nanoparticles were prepared using a powder me- tallurgy-based sintering-dissolution process （sDP） and NaC1 particles were used as space holders. Then, the effect of nanoparticle rein- forcement and different amounts of NaC1 space holders （corresponding porosity） on the microstructure, morphology, density, hardness, and electrochemical specifications of the samples were investigated. It was found that as the relative density increased from 60% to 70%, the wall thickness increased from about 200 to 300 pro, which led to a decrease in pore size. Also, the addition of nanoparticle reinforcement and the increased relative density result in increasing metal foam hardness. Moreover, electrochemical test results indicated that increasing the A1203 content reduced the corrosion rate, but increasing the porosity enhanced it.

AIM: To explore the approaches exerted by mesenchymal stem cells (MsCs) to improve Parkinson’s disease (PD) ***: MsCs were harvested from bone marrow of femoral bones of male rats, grown and propagated in culture. Twenty four ovariectomized animals were classified into 3 groups: Group (1) was control, Groups (2) and (3) were subcutaneously administered with rotenone for 14 d after one month of ovariectomy for induction of PD. Then, Group (2) was left untreated, while Group (3) was treated with single intravenous dose of bone marrow derived MsCs (BM-MsCs). sRY gene was assessed by PCR in brain tissue of the female rats. serum transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-β1), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) and brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels were assayed by ELIsA. Brain dopamine DA level was assayed fluorometrically, while brain tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and nestin gene expression were detected by semi-quantitative real time PCR. Brain survivin expression was determined by immunohistochemical procedure. Histopathological investigation of brain tissues was also ***: BM-MsCs were able to home at the injured brains and elicited significant decrease in serum TGF-β1 (489.7 ± 13.0 vs 691.2 ± 8.0, P s 112.1 ± 1.9, P s associated with significant increase in serum BDNF (3663 ± 17.8 vs 2905 ± 72.9, P s 599 ± 9.8, P s as well as brain TH (1.18 ± 0.004 vs 0.54 ± 0.009, P stin (1.29 ± 0.005 vs 0.67 ± 0.006, P s expression levels.
