The lack of proper knowledge about investment products can have a large negative influence on the financial well being of investors. Inspite of that, there is a dearth of studies conducted, specifically to investigate the factors influencing the knowledge of investors about investment products. This paper propose a model and investigates the direct and indirect (mediated through investor"s enduring involvement with product) influence of investor"s product importance perception (PIP) and need for cognition (NFC) on investor"s knowledge of investment products. The hypothesized relationship is empirically validated in the context of mutual fund schemes (MFs). Survey conducted on the sample of 268 MF investors suggests that there is an insignificant direct influence of investor"s PIP and NFC on investor"s knowledge of investment product (KIP). However, when mediated through enduring involvement with product (EIP), the influence was found to be significant. The results suggest that EIP perfectly mediates the influence of PIP and NFC on investor"s KIP. The relevance of the results to the policy makers is also discussed.

Numerical Treatment of Nonlinear Third Order Boundary Value Problem

In this paper, the boundary value problems for nonlinear third order differential equations are treated. A generic approach based on nonpolynomial quintic spline is developed to solve such boundary value problem. We show that the approximate solutions of such problems obtained by the numerical algorithm developed using nonpolynomial quintic spline functions are better than those produced by other numerical methods. The algorithm is tested on a problem to demonstrate the practical usefulness of the approach.

The target of software engineering is to produce high quality software product at low cost. Software testing is labour-intensive, ambiguous and error prone activity of software development. How to provide cost-effective strategies for software test cases optimization problem such as classification, minimization, selection, and prioritization has been one of the research focuses in software testing for a long time. Many researchers and academicians have addressed the effectiveness/fitness and optimization of test cases, and obtained many interesting results. However, one issue of paramount importance in software testing i.e. the intrinsic imprecise and uncertainty of test cases fitness, fitness parameters, multi-objective optimization, is left unaddressed. Test cases fitness depends on several parameters. Vagueness of fitness of test cases and their fitness parameters have created the uncertainty in test cases optimization. Cost and adequacy values are incorporated into multi-faceted optimization of test cases. This paper argues test cases optimization requires multi-faceted optimization in order to adequately cater realistic software testing. In this paper, authors have identified several parameters for test cases fitness and multiple objectives for test cases optimization. In addition above, authors have formulated the test cases optimization problem in three different ways using multi-faceted concept. These formulations can be used in future by authors and researchers.

The purpose of this paper is to define a new symbol classand discuss the theory of two different pseudo-differential operators(p.d.o.)involving Fourier–Jacobi transform associated with a single symbol in.We also derive boundedness results for p.d.o.’s in Sobolev type space.Anewpseudo-differential operator is developed using the product of symbols.Finally,norm inequality for commutators between two pseudo-differential operators is obtained.

AIM: To confirm the presence of recombination,full-length hepatitis B virus (HBV) from chronic patients was sequenced and analyzed.METHODS: Full-length HBV genomes from 12 patients were amplified and sequenced in an automated sequencer.Phylogenetic analysis was carried out on full-length,Core and preS2/Surface regions using MEGA software.SimPlot Boot Scanning and amino acid sequence analysis were performed for confirmation of recombination.RESULTS: Eight patients were infected with genotype D strain; one patient with genotype A and three patients had genotype A and D recombination; two of them had cirrhosis and one had hepatocellular carcinoma.Phylogenetic analysis of core and preS2/surface regions separately showed evidence of genotype A and D recombination.The breakpoints of recombination were found to be at the start of preS2 and at the end of surface coding regions.CONCLUSION: We identified and characterized recombinant A and D genotype HBV in hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)-positive patients.

Voltage Controlled Ring Oscillator Design with Novel 3 Transistors XNOR/XOR Gates

In present work, improved designs for voltage controlled ring oscillators (VCO) using three transistors XNOR/XOR gates have been presented. Supply voltage has been varied from [1.8 - 1.2] V in proposed designs. In first method, the VCO design using three XNOR delay cells shows frequency variation of [1.900 - 0.964] GHz with [279.429 - 16.515] μW power consumption variation. VCO designed with five XNOR delay cells shows frequency variation of [1.152 - 0.575] GHz with varying power consumption of [465.715 - 27.526] μW. In the second method VCO having three XOR stages shows frequency variation [1.9176 - 1.029] GHz with power consumption variation from [296.393 - 19.051] μW. A five stage XOR based VCO design shows frequency variation [1.049 - 0.565] GHz with power consumption variation from [493.989 - 31.753] μW. Simulations have been performed by using SPICE based on TSMC 0.18μm CMOS technology. Power consumption and output frequency range of proposed VCOs have been compared with earlier reported circuits and proposed circuit’s shows improved performance.

The microscopic study and analysis of the Permian volcaniclastic rocks samples from 20drilled wells in the northwestern margin of Junggar basin shows that authigenic minerals identification and distribution features,diagenetic evolution,and diagenetic conditions have an influence on reservoir quality.Permian volcaniclastic rocks are dominantly sandy-conglomerate and conglomerate attributed to tuff clasts.Detrital grains have observed as rounded to subrounded and angular to subangular in shape.The central diagenetic authigenic mineral cement is a zeolite,clay minerals,albite,and calcite.Analcime,laumontite and heulandite zeolites cement are the most common minerals in the study area.Zeolites and additional authigenic minerals were formed during diagenesis is an open hydrologic system.Typically volcanic glass transformed from both clay minerals and zeolite minerals with respect to distribution characteristics can be constructed from same aluminosilicate precursor materials.Alterations of these minerals during diagenesis are in the order such as volcanic glass-clinoptilolite-analcite-heulandite-laumontite zeolite minerals and at the same time volcanic glass-smectite-chlorite clay minerals.At the eodiagenetic stage,representative diagenesis included compaction,hydration,devitrification,and smectite formation.During mesodiagenetic stage representative,diageneses included cementation,dissolution as well as the replacement.Groundwater chemistry,p H of pore water and the ratio of cation exchange have directly influenced the reservoir quality.Dense grains are compacted and can be identified by the line and concave-convex grain contacts.Chlorite coated grains and cement dissolution can contribute to good porosity.In contrast to compaction,calcite and heulandite cement are the dominant factors for the formation of low porosity reservoir by filling intergranular pores.The dissolution of analcime and laumontite cement can be observed in the study area;chlorite coating preserved the pores from compaction.CO
