Treatments to repair the human heart following regenerative diseases remain a challenge for medical science. Unlike lower vertebrate species the human heart lacks a regenerative pathway meaning that research has to be focused on cell transplantation. Porcines (Sus scrofa) are excellent models for cardiovascular disease and pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) generated from porcines will provide important clinical insights for cardiac cell therapy. This could open a new avenue of research into degenerative conditions as porcine is a more effective human proxy to work with. However, bona fide PSCs are currently available onlyin rodents (mouse, rat) and primates (monkey, human). Attempts to derivepluripotent stem cells (PSCs) from porcine have been going on for more than two decades with slow progress. Despite the fact that the porcine stem cells are under increasing glare of publicity due to milestone achievements in this area of research. Advances in stem cell technology, especially the genetic engineering, innovative cell culturing and induced pluripotency to generate stem cells has dramatically revolutionized the basic and applied investigations and applications of porcine stem cells. This review attempts to summarize the major signaling pathways involved in maintenance of pluripotency and the state of the art conceptual and technical progress for generating bona fide porcine PSCs.

New voltage-controlled floating inductors employing CFOAs and an analog multiplier have been presented which have the attractive features of using a canonic number of passive components (only two resistors and a capacitor) and not requiring any component-matching conditions and design constraints for the intended type of inductance realization. The workability and applications of the new circuits have been demonstrated by SPICE simulation and hardware experimental results based upon AD844-type CFOAs and AD633-type/MPY534 type analog multipliers.

Therefore, there is a need to redesign the medical system to meet their better needs .With the advent of cloud computing the doctors can keep their information about their critical diseases, critical cases and sophisticated problem they phased .cloud computing has made it possible to solve many complex problems very fast and at a lower cost in less time. Almost all doctors in various disciplines uses cloud computing to solve their problems. In this paper, attention is given to possible implementation of Cloud computing technology in the medical field, especially in hospitals where there is intensive need of computers for better cure for the diseases.

Continuous and near-real-time measurements of the mass concentration of Aerosol Black Carbon (BC) were carried out 1st to 31st July 2010 of rainy season and compare with data of July-2010 to March-2011 using an Aethalometer (model AE-31 of Magee Scientific, USA). The principle of the Aethalometer is to measure the attenuation of a beam of light transmitted through a filter, while the filter is continuously collecting an aero-sol sample. This measurement is made at successive regular intervals of a time base period has been. the BC mass concentration is estimated by measuring the change in the transmittance of a quartz filter tape, on to which the particles impinge. The instrument was operated at a time base of 5 min, round the clock with a flow rate of 4-liter min–1, to study the impact of rainy season on black carbon concentrations over a typical urban environment namely Ranchi, India. BC concentrations were high during morning (0600 to 0900 h) and evening hours (1900 to 2300 h) compared to afternoon hours. During early morning hours, high values of BC are attributed to the turbulence set-in by the solar heating which breaks the night-time stable layer and aero-sols in the nocturnal residual layer are mixed up with those near the surface.

Biological Treatability of Low Total Dissolved Solids (LTDS) Using SBR as a Pre-Treatment for Reverse Osmosis

Huge quantity of effluents is generated from pharmaceutical industries attributed to their wide array of manufacturing and maintenance processes. Wastewaters from pharmaceuticals are characterized by the presence of solids, pH, temperature, biodegradable organic compounds, unusual turbidity, hardness and conductivity. Wastewater from pharmaceutical industry arising from various units is categorised as low total dissolved solids (LTDS) and high total dissolved solids (HTDS) based on the concentration of total dissolved solids. The present study focuses on treatment of LTDS using a combination of biological treatment followed by membrane process, reverse osmosis. This research presents the results from the pilot-scale studies focussed on biological treatment using SBR as pre-treatment for RO towards the removal of LTDS effluent. Three-month data on a daily basis is presented. The efficiency of the process was tested with a reduction in parameters like total dissolved solids and chemical oxygen demand. SBR tested for its suitability as a preliminary treatment for the Reverse Osmosis process during the months of August-October. The highest and lowest TDS reduction was recorded as 9.72% and ?4.67% in the month of August. The highest and least COD reduction was recorded as 87.28% and 80.66% in the same month. The highest and lowest TDS reduction was recorded as 0.84% and ?7.92% in the month of September. The highest and least COD reduction was recorded as 87.07% and 83.28% in the same month. The performance of RO tested for its efficiency in removing the TDS and COD after SBR as pre-treatment. The highest and lowest TDS reduction was recorded as 94.93% and 93.27% in the month of August. The highest and least COD reduction was recorded as 96.84% and 90.19% in the same month. The highest and lowest TDS reduction was recorded at 96.53% and 91.25% in the month of October. The present study screens activity of different enzymes in Trapa natans under aerobic and anaerobic physiological conditions. Experimental analysis was carried out to assay the activities of ALDH and ADH in the seed extract of T. natans. These enzymes are associated with the alcohol metabolism of the T. natans. It was observed that a metabolic pathway shifts from aerobic respiration to anaerobic fermentation under anoxic conditions. Physiological stress related response in trapa seeds gives the leads to understand the other model for better fermentable products. During the experiment it was found that there is difference between the concenteration of enzymes in anaerobic and aerobic conditions. Concentration was check with the help of spectrophotometer at 340 nm.

ATP柠檬酸裂解酶(ACL)为细胞质中乙酰辅酶A合成途径的关键调控酶,在生物体正常生长发育中有重要作用。本研究通过Race和电子克隆技术获得编码甘蔗ACL蛋白2个亚基的基因SoACLA-1和SoACLB-1,其编码框长度分别为1272bp和1827bp,编码423个和608个氨基酸,推测的氨基酸序列与其他物种具有高度相似性,都优先与禾本科植物聚于同一进化分支。2个基因在ATP-grasp功能域、柠檬酸结合位点、组氨酸磷酸化位点和ATP结合、CoA结合、磷酸化区域等,序列高度保守。实时荧光定量PCR结果表明,2个基因均受外源ABA、水分胁迫、水分胁迫加ABA处理诱导表达,且叶中表达量显著高于根系,其中又以水分胁迫处理下的表达量最高,2个基因表现出协同表达模式。SoACLA-1和SoACLB-1的表达与ABA、ROS含量具有相关性,说明它们可能参与了ABA调控的植物对逆境胁迫反应的代谢过程。

Ivabradine—The Final Crusader for Postoperative Junctional Ectopic Tachycardia, a Case Report with Literature Review

Background: Junctional ectopic tachycardia (JET) is one troublesome supraventricular arrhythmia in postoperative pediatric cardiac surgical patients. Unless treated timely and effectively it may lead to morbidity and even mortality. Aim: To understand the role of Ivabradine in the treatment of JET in postoperative pediatric cardiac surgical patients. Case: We present a postoperative case of complete repair of Tetralogy of Fallot who was in normal sinus rhythm in the preoperative period and developed JET 4 hours later in postoperative period which was persistent despite measures to optimize the internal milieu of the body and conventional antiarrhythmics, that was successfully treated with Ivabradine at a dose of 0.05 mg/kg/12 hourly. Conclusion: Ivabradine can be used to successfully treat postoperative JET in cases ofrefractory to other antiarrhythmic drugs like Digoxin and Amiodarone.

Researchers working in the field of photovoltaic are exploring novel materials for the efficient solar energy *** prime objective of the discovery of every novel photovoltaic material is to achieve more energy yield with easy fabrication process and less production cost *** solar cells (PSCs)delivering the highest efficiency in the passing years with different stoichiometry and fabrication modification have made this technology a potent candidate for future energy conversion *** now,many studies have shown that the quality of active layer morphology,to a great extent,determines the performance of *** current and potential techniques of solvent engineering for good active layer morphology are mainly debated using primary solvent,co-solvent (Lewis acid-base adduct approach)and solvent *** this review,the dynamics of numerously reported solvents on the morphological characteristics of PSCs active layer are discussed in *** intention is to get a clear understanding of solvent engineering induced modifications on active layer morphology in PSC devices via different crystallization *** last,an attempt is made to draw a framework based on different solvent coordination properties to make it easy for screening the potent solvent contender for desired PSCs precursor for a better and feasible device.
