Areca catechu,is a species of palm belonging to the family of Arecaceae/Palmae,grows vertically,to the height of 10 m to 20 m,the stem is straight,solitary and slender,10 cm to 15 cm in diameter,with marks of annulated scars of fallen leaf *** fibres are predominantly extracted not only from the fruit as areca husk,but also from leaf stalks and *** this review paper,areca fibre is compared with those of other representative species of the Arecaceae/Palmae family,such as the coconut tree and the palm tree,in terms of physical and mechanical *** review article also discusses the physical,mechanical and thermal properties of areca fibre and its *** review of known published data reveals that,while areca fibre has the potential to be used as an alternative reinforcement in polymer ***,it has been also noticed that some other species from the family of Arecaceae/Palmae have not been explored as natural fibre reinforcement in polymer composites either,thus revealing further options of natural alternative reinforcement to be investigated with regard to their potential to be used in fibre based composites for the automotive,aerospace,and construction industries.

Management of proximal tibial stress fracture associated with advanced knee osteoarthritis:A systematic review

Purpose:Tibial stress fracture associated with knee osteoarthritis is an unusual and difficult clinical *** is no clear existing treatment guideline for this uncommon clinical *** aim of this study is to review the impact of various treatment options for patients with advanced knee osteoarthritis associated with proximal tibial stress ***:The study was performed using the databases of PubMed and *** index for non-randomized studies score was used to evaluate the included studies’*** concluded data included the treatment approach,reported outcome measure,and time to fracture *** literature search was started in December 2021 and accomplished in January 2022.A narrative description of the different methods and comparison of their results were ***:Out of total assessed 69 studies,9 studies were included in our *** commonest treatment approach used was total knee arthroplasty by long tibial stem *** mean preoperative knee society score and knee functional score were 30.62 and 23.17,*** mean postoperative knee society knee score was 86.87,while the functional score was *** average reported time to achieve fracture union was 4 months(a range of 2.07-5.50 months).Conclusion:The optimal clinical outcome for treating either acute or mobile tibial stress fracture in patients with advanced knee osteoarthritis can be achieved with long stem total knee ***,due to heterogeneity of data,comparison of different treatment options for chronic proximal tibial stress fracture mal-union/non-union coexisting with knee osteoarthritic and such inferences need to be judged cautiously.

Endocrine therapy(ET)remains the mainstay of treatment for steroid hormone receptor-positive,human epidermal growth factor 2(HER2)-negative metastatic breast cancer(MBC).Tumor resistance to hormone therapy has led to the development of novel endocrine drug combinations,transforming the landscape of MBC *** options for ET are expanding,with promising agents in the *** MBC remains incurable,many patients can enjoy years of survival with good quality of life by cycling through the many available *** the plethora of available agents and rapid approvals,clinicians look to evidencebased guidelines to assist in treatment selection to maximize patient *** this review,we provide a contemporary review of the advances in ET and a suggested algorithm to guide clinicians in daily management of patients with hormone receptor-positive,HER2-negative *** will discuss landmark trials and highlight their impact in reshaping treatment ***,we will provide a glimpse into advances on the horizon and the promise they bring to improve outcomes in patients with advanced breast cancer.

Android malware category detection using a novel feature vector‑based machine learning model

Malware attacks on the Android platform are rapidly increasing due to the high consumer adoption of Android *** technologies have motivated cyber-criminals to actively create and disseminate a wide range of malware on Android *** researchers have conducted numerous studies on the detection of Android malware,but the majority of the works are based on the detection of generic Android *** detection based on malware categories will provide more insights about the malicious patterns of the ***,this paper presents a detection solution for different Android malware categories,including adware,banking,SMS malware,and *** this paper,a novel Huffman encoding-based feature vector generation technique is *** experiments have proved that this novel approach significantly improves the efficiency of the detection *** method makes use of system call frequencies as features to extract malware’s dynamic behavior *** proposed model was evaluated using machine learning and deep learning *** results show that the proposed model with the Random Forest classifier outperforms some existing methodologies with a detection accuracy of 98.70%.

Estimation of Exhaust Gas Temperature of the Rocket Nozzle using Hybrid Approach

In this paper the theoretical model is built for ZEpHyR(ZARM Experimental Hybrid Rocket) main engine which is being developed at ZARM institute,Bremen,*** theoretical model is used to estimate the temperature of exhaust *** Conjugate Gradient Method(CGM) with Adjoint Problem for Function Estimation iterative technique is used to solve the Inverse Heat Conduction Problem(IHCP) to estimate the heat flux and internal wall temperature at the throat section of the *** equation is used to calculate the convective heat transfer *** exhaust gas temperature is determined using the estimated heat flux,the wall temperature at internal surface of nozzle and the heat transfer *** accuracy of CGM iterative scheme to solve the IHCP is also investigated and its results are presented.

Polysaccharide Hydrogel Incorporated Carbon Nanofiber Microelectrode for Designing Neural Interfaces

Bionic devices are an integral part of human life,and continuous innovations in their design and functions with the help of nanotechnology has revolutionized the area of neuroscience and ***-interfaces play a key role in bionic devices such as neural implants for efficient transfer of the signal to smart *** report here on the design of a new microelectrode,comprising Carbon Nanofiber (CNF) and a biopolymer,namely carboxymethyl xyloglucan (CMX) hydrogel inside the CNF,which enhances the current density across the interface,Microelectrode was prepared by in-situ cross-linking of CMX inside CNF,with optimized CMX:CNF ratio,resulting in continuous ionic channels confined within the hollow core of *** microscopy images of microelectrodes illustrate the formation ofCMX hydrogel network inside the CNF hollow core without wrapping its *** presence of hydrogel in the CNF was confirmed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).The electrochemical studies indicate the enhancement in charge density as well as the active surface area of the microelectrodes due to the presence ofCMX hydrogel *** microelectrodes have great potential as neural interfaces for designing smart prosthetics with voluntary control.

Diversity,Distribution and Prioritization of Fodder Species for Conservation in Kullu District,Northwestern Himalaya,India

In the Indian Himalayan Region predominantly rural in character, livestock is one of the main sources of livelihood and integral part of the economy. Livestock mostly rely on fodder from wild. The diversity, distribution, utilization pattern, nativity, endemism, rarity, seasonality of availability, nutritive values, perceived economic values and pressure use index of livestock have not been studied. The present study attempts to enumerate 150 species of fodder representing trees (51 spp.), shrubs (54 spp.) and herbs (45 spp.). Poaceae (19 spp.) and Fabaceae (13 spp.) amongst families and Salix (6 spp.), Ficus, Clematis, and Desmodium (5 spp., each) amongst genera are rich in species. Maximum species were found in the 1801 ~ 2600 m zone, and the remaining two zones showed relatively low diversity. Out of the 150 species, 109 are used in summer, 5 winter and 36 throughout year. During rainy season, mostly grasses are used as fodder. Only 83 species are native to the Himalayan region, one species, Strobilanthus atropuroureus is endemic and 35 species are near endemic. The nutritive values of the fodder species were reviewed, and economic values and status of the species were also assessed. The pressure use index of the species was calculated on the basis of cumulative values of the utilization pattern, altitudinal distribution, availability, status, nativity and endemism. Amongst the species, Grewia oppositifoilia, Morus serrata, Indigofera heterantha, Quercus leucotrichphora, Ulmus villosa, U. wallichiana and Aesculus indica showed highest PUI indicating high preference and pressure. Season wise prioritization of the species for different altitudinal zones has been done. Appropriate strategy and action plan have been suggested for the conservation and management of fodder species.
