Ferroptosis, a unique type of non-apoptotic cell death resulting from iron-dependent lipid peroxidation, has a potential physiological function in tumor suppression, but its underlying mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. Here, we report that the long non-coding RNA(lncRNA) LncFASA increases the susceptibility of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) to ferroptosis. As a tumor suppressor, LncFASA drives the formation of droplets containing peroxiredoxin1(PRDX1), a member of the peroxidase family, resulting in the accumulation of lipid peroxidation via the SLC7A11-GPX4 axis. Mechanistically, LncFASA directly binds to the Ahpc-TSA domain of PRDX1, inhibiting its peroxidase activity by driving liquid-liquid phase separation, which disrupts intracellular ROS homeostasis. Notably, high LncFASA expression indicates favorable overall survival in individuals with breast cancer, and LncFASA impairs the growth of breast xenograft tumors by modulating ferroptosis. Together, our findings illustrate the crucial role of this lncRNA in ferroptosis-mediated cancer development and provide new insights into therapeutic strategies for breast cancer.

A Leaking-Proof Theranostic Nanoplatform for Tumor-Targeted and Dual-Modality Imaging-Guided Photodynamic Therapy

Objective:A protein-based leaking-proof theranostic nanoplatform for dual-modality imaging-guided tumor photodynamic therapy(PDT)has been designed.Impact Statement:A site-specific conjugation of chlorin e6(Ce6)to ferrimagnetic ferritin(MFtn-Ce6)has been constructed to address the challenge of unexpected leakage that often occurs during small-molecule drug delivery.Introduction:PDT is one of the most promising approaches for tumor treatment,while a delivery system is typically required for hydrophobic photosensitizers.However,the nonspecific distribution and leakage of photosensitizers could lead to insufficient drug accumulation in tumor sites.Methods:An engineered ferritin was generated for site-specific conjugation of Ce6 to obtain a leaking-proof delivery system,and a ferrimagnetic core was biomineralized in the cavity of ferritin,resulting in a fluorescent ferrimagnetic ferritin nanoplatform(MFtn-Ce6).The distribution and tumor targeting of MFtn-Ce6 can be detected by magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and fluorescence imaging(FLI).Results:MFtn-Ce6 showed effective dual-modality MRI and FLI.A prolonged in vivo circulation and increased tumor accumulation and retention of photosensitizer was observed.The time-dependent distribution of MFtn-Ce6 can be precisely tracked in real time to find the optimal time window for PDT treatment.The colocalization of ferritin and the iron oxide core confirms the high stability of the nanoplatform in vivo.The results showed that mice treated with MFtn-Ce6 exhibited marked tumor-suppressive activity after laser irradiation.Conclusion:The ferritin-based leaking-proof nanoplatform can be used for the efficient delivery of the photosensitizer to achieve an enhanced therapeutic effect.This method established a general approach for the dual-modality imagingguided tumor delivery of PDT agents.

Low-molecular-weight(LMW)compounds are ubiquitous in living organisms and play essential roles in biological processes.The direct analysis of LMW compounds in biological tissues by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry imaging(MALDI-MSI)could provide a more comprehensive understanding of their essential functions.Here,we evaluated 4-nitrocatechol(4-NC)as a novel positive-ion matrix for enhancing in situ detection and imaging of LMW compounds from the rat liver,brain,and germinating Chinese-yew seed by MALDI-MS.Our results showed that the 4-NC possessed remarkable features,including strong ultraviolet absorption,uniform matrix crystal,excellent chemical stability,and fewer matrix-related background peaks.The use of 4-NC led to the successful detection of 232,218,and193 LMW compounds from the three abovementioned tissue sections,respectively.Also,the use of 4-NC improved the imaging quality of LMW compounds in tissue sections through MALDI-MSI and has the potential as a matrix for MALDI tissue imaging of LMW compounds.

近年来,西方国家为遏制中国经济、科技崛起,以“国家安全”为由不断强化外资审查制度,限制中国企业拓展海外市场,围剿之势愈演愈烈。由于国家安全的涵义模糊,西方国家对华采取此类措施远超国家安全范畴,呈现保护主义倾向,严重影响中国企业在海外投资、经营和扩张等活动,危害了中国海外投资利益安全,已成为遏制中国产业升级、技术进步以及市场竞争力的投资壁垒。考虑到中国与大多数实施国家安全审查的西方国家签订国际投资协定,并在其中设置了投资仲裁的争端解决机制,中国企业可以通过投资仲裁的方式挑战东道国的安全审查措施,依据国际投资协定中的投资保护条款主张违约责任,从而制约东道国的保护主义政策。

Influence of High-Pressure Induced Lattice Dislocations and Distortions on Thermoelectric Performance of Pristine SnTe

As a sister compound of PbTe, SnTe possesses the environmentally friendly elements. However, the pristine SnTe compounds suffer from the high carrier concentration, the large valence band offset between the L and Σpositions and high thermal conductivity. Using high-pressure and high-temperature technology, we synthesized the pristine SnTe samples at different pressures and systemically investigated their thermoelectric properties.High pressure induces rich microstructures, including the high-density dislocations and lattice distortions, which serve as the strong phonon scattering centers, thereby reducing the lattice thermal conductivity. For the electrical properties, pressure reduces the harmful high carrier concentration, due to the depression of Sn vacancies.Moreover, pressure induces the valence band convergence, reducing the energy separation between the L and Σpositions. The band convergence and suppressed carrier concentration increase the Seebeck coefficient. Thus, the power factors of pressure-sintered compounds do not deteriorate significantly under the condition of decreasing electrical conductivity. Ultimately, for a pristine SnTe compound synthesized at 5 GPa, a higher ZT value of 0.51 is achieved at 750 K, representing a 140% improvement compared to the value of 0.21 obtained using SPS. Therefore, the high-pressure and high-temperature technology is demonstrated as an effectively approach to optimize thermoelectric performance.

本文探讨地区间不平衡的知识产权保护程度如何影响企业集团内部的专利转移。以2014年知识产权法院试点作为当地知识产权强监管的冲击,以技术积累较弱领域的专利测量“擦边球”专利,本文构建双重差分模型进行实证研究。结果发现:(1)集团内公司所在地的知识产权监管增强后,受直接冲击影响的公司专利申请显著减少,但未被管辖的集团异地公司专利申请显著增加,并且增加的主要是“擦边球”专利,说明企业集团内部存在策略性的专利转移。(2)这种内部转移是企业集团的风险应对行为,在有诉讼经历的企业集团中更强,并且主要将“擦边球”专利转移至知识产权保护较弱地区。(3)从内部转移的经济动机上看,转移行为在市场竞争程度较高和融资约束较强的企业集团中更强。本文结论表明在区域知识产权监管不平衡下,企业集团以内部专利转移规避了区域监管,这势必会削弱区域知识产权保护的效果。因此本文的政策启示是,要想实现整体创新驱动的高质量发展,在知识产权保护上推进监管“基础制度规则统一”的大市场建设是不可忽视的一环。

Ultrahigh pyroelectric effect and energy harvesting density of Pb(Lu_(1/2)Nb_(1/2))O_(3)-PbTiO_(3) crystals induced by FE-AFE phase transition

Large pyroelectric and energy harvesting properties have been attracting increasing attentions due to the practical applications in infrared detectors and energy harvesting technologies.Ferroelectricantiferroelectric(FE-AFE)phase transitions are usually accompanied by a sharp drop in polarization,which will lead to excellent pyroelectric properties and energy harvesting density.Therefore,FE-AFE phase boundary design is an effective strategy to develop new pyroelectric materials.In this paper,Pb(Lu_(1/2)Nb_(1/2))O_(3)-PbTiO_(3) (PLN-PT)single crystals with FE-AFE phase transitions were obtained by molten salt growth method.The temperature-induced FE-AFE phase transition was verified by temperaturedependent macrodomain structure,DSC curves and dielectric properties.Obviously,PLN-PT crystals display excellent peak pyroelectric coefficient(~6.8μC/(cm^(2)·K)with a maximum depolarization temperature of 118℃.Meanwhile,the pyroelectric energy harvesting density is as high as 2.62 J/cm3,which is much higher than other pyroelectric materials.The results reveal that the PLN-PT crystal is a promising candidate for infrared detectors and energy harvesting devices.

目的探讨trocar部位疝(trocar site hernia, TSH)的临床特征、诊治要点及预后。方法回顾性分析2019年1月~2023年1月12例腹腔镜手术后TSH的临床资料。临床表现肠梗阻8例,trocar切口迁延不愈伴渗液1例,无明显症状3例。9例腹部CT诊断,余3例分别通过小肠造影、腹部MRI、腹平片联合腹部彩超诊断。发生于右下腹5例,左下腹4例,右上腹3例。trocar直径12 mm 6例,10 mm 5例,5 mm 1例。trocar部位放置引流管5例。11例行开放性手术,包括小肠还纳、腹壁逐层缝合术4例,小肠部分切除吻合术3例,Onlay修补术3例,部分大网膜切除、横结肠还纳、Onlay修补术1例;另1例trocar部位迁延不愈,拒绝手术,动态观察。结果 11例手术顺利,术后1例炎性肠梗阻行小肠减压管置入术,1例切口出血再次急诊手术止血,余恢复顺利。12例均获随访,随访5~48个月,中位13个月,1例未手术者trocar部位仍有硬结伴间断渗液,1例因肿瘤转移死亡,余10例均无疝复发。结论 TSH最常见表现为肠梗阻症状,多发生于直径≥10 mm的trocar,如有症状应尽早手术修补。

为探究魔芋多糖体系与色素小分子互作的方式并解决魔芋凝胶赋色的问题,该研究以魔芋葡甘聚糖(konjac glucomannan,KGM)凝胶为研究对象,使用玉米黄质(zeaxanthin,ZEA)对KGM凝胶赋色,以不添加色素的KGM凝胶作为对照组,对比分析对照组和赋色后KGM/ZEA复合有色凝胶的凝胶性能和微观结构。结果表明,KGM/ZEA-2复合有色凝胶的色素保留率、L^(*)值、a^(*)值和b^(*)值较对照组分别显著升高了73.82%、9.78%、4.34%、5.63%,较KGM/ZEA-1分别显著升高了16.33%、2.55%、1.09%、2.14%;其持水性、凝胶强度、硬度和咀嚼性较对照组分别显著升高了2.18%、91.01%、54.09%、50.70%,较KGM/ZEA-1显著分别升高了0.88%、75.40%、45.48%、42.23%。微观结构表明,KGM/ZEA-2复合有色凝胶在疏水相互作用的驱动下形成了更加致密的网络结构,可截留更多的色素小分子,同时提高了其结晶度和热稳定性。因此,玉米黄质能够稳定地结合在魔芋凝胶体系内,作为着色剂应用于多彩凝胶素食的开发。
