Gene expression profiling of MYC-driven tumor signatures in porcine liver stem cells by transcriptome sequencing

AIM:To identify the genes induced and regulated by the MYC protein in generating tumors from liver stem ***:In this study,we have used an immortal porcine liver stem cell line,PICM-19,to study the role of c-MYC in ***-19 cells were converted into cancer cells(PICM-19-CSCs)by overexpressing human *** identify MYC-driven differential gene expression,transcriptome sequencing was carried out by RNA sequencing,and genes identified by this method were validated using real-time *** vivo tumorigenicity studies were then conducted by injecting PICM-19-CSCs into the flanks of immunodeficient ***:Our results showed that MYC-overexpressing PICM-19 stem cells formed tumors in immunodeficient mice demonstrating that a single oncogene was sufficient to convert them into cancer cells(PICM-19-CSCs).By using comparative bioinformatics analyses,we have determined that>1000 genes were differentially expressed between PICM-19 and *** ontology analysis further showed that the MYCinduced,altered gene expression was primarily associated with various cellular processes,such as metabolism,cell adhesion,growth and proliferation,cell cycle,inflammation and ***,six genes expressed by PICM-19 cells(CDO1,C22orf39,DKK2,ENPEP,GPX6,SRPX2)were completely silenced after MYC-induction in PICM-19-CSCs,suggesting that the absence of these genes may be critical for ***:MYC-driven genes may serve as promising candidates for the development of hepatocellular carcinoma therapeutics that would not have deleterious effects on other cell types in the liver.

BACKGROUND: Neuroendocrine tumors of the ampulla of Vater are extremely rare, and few cases of large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) of the ampulla have been reported. METHODS: A 48-year-old male with obstructive jaundice was admitted to our hospital. On examination the patient was found to have a periampullary growth and subsequently underwent the Whipple's procedure. RESULTS: Histopathological examination and immunohistochemistry revealed features of LCNEC of the ampulla of Vater. The patient developed multiple liver metastases 6 months after Whipple's procedure. CONCLUSION: LCNEC of the ampulla of Vater is rare and highly aggressive, with a dismal prognosis.

Despite the intense effort expended towards obtaining a model for describing the turbulent flows of fluid, there is no model at hand that can do an adequate job. This leads us to look for a non-traditional approach to turbulence modeling. In this work we conjoin the notion of large eddy simulation with those of fuzzy sets and neural networks to describe a class of turbulent flows. In previous works we had discussed several issues concerning large eddy simulation such as filtering and averaging. Here, we discuss the use of fuzzy sets to improve the filtering procedure.

One Parameter Family of N-Qudit Werner-Popescu States: Bipartite Separability Using Conditional Quantum Relative Tsallis Entropy

The conditional version of sandwiched Tsallis relative entropy (CSTRE) is employed to study the bipartite separability of one parameter family of N-qudit Werner-Popescu states in their 1:N-1 partition. For all N, the strongest limitation on bipartite separability is realized in the limit and is found to match exactly with the separability range obtained using an algebraic method which is both necessary and sufficient. The theoretical superiority of using CSTRE criterion to find the bipartite separability range over the one using Abe-rajagopal (AR) q-conditional entropy is illustrated by comparing the convergence of the parameter x with respect to q, in the implicit plots of AR q-conditional entropy and CSTRE.

本文不用“大数近似”（ＬＮＡ），而在平均值的基础上为费米子、玻色子和玻尔兹曼粒子的分布提供一种新的推导方法．这个推导只用到传统的组合方法，其物理内容的适用性并不依赖于最可几值和“大数近似”方法的运用．本方法的基础，是把密度矩阵的本征值作为香农（Ｓｈａｎｎｏｎ）熵中的几率，把密度矩阵本征值的简并度与玻尔兹曼的计数因子（ｅｎｕｍｅｒａｔｉｏｎ　ｆａｃｔｏｒ）等同起来，因此避免了诸如与最速下降法、极限过渡技巧和玻尔兹曼热力学几率相关的问题．此外，本方法立足于密度矩阵的本征值，也不需用到系综的概念．

Annealing Effects on Electrical Properties and Interfacial Reactions of Ni/Cu Schottky Rectifiers on n-Type InP

We report on the effect of annealing temperature on electrical, interfacial reactions and surface morphological properties of Ni/Cu Schottky contacts on n-type InP. The extracted barrier height of as-deposited Ni/Cu Schottky contact is 0.59 eV (I-V) respectively. The high-quality Schottky contact with barrier height and ideality factor of 0.65 eV (I-V) and 1.15 respectively, can be obtained after annealing at 300℃ for 1 min in a nitrogen atmosphere. However, annealing at 400℃, results the decrease in the barrier height to 0.54 eV (I-V). From the above observations, it is observed that Ni/Cu Schottky contact exhibited excellent electrical properties after annealing at 300℃. Hence, the optimum annealing temperature for the Ni/Cu Schottky contact is 300℃. Furthermore, Cheung’s functions is used to extract the diode parameters including ideality factor, barrier height and series resistance. According to the XRD analysis, the formation of the indium phases at the Ni/Cu/n-InP interface could be the reason for the increase in the barrier height at annealing temperature 300℃. Further, the degradation of the barrier heights after annealing at 400℃ may be due to the formation of phosphide phases at the Ni/Cu/n-InP interface. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results show that the overall surface morphology of the Ni/Cu Schottky contact is reasonably smooth.
