Ant Lion Algorithm for Optimized Controller Gains for Power Quality Enrichment of Off-grid Wind Power Harnessing Units

The proposed system uses an algorithm that works on the admittance of the system,for estimating the reference values of generated currents for an off-grid wind power harnessing unit(WPHU).The controller controls the voltage and maintains the frequency within the limits while working with both linear and nonlinear loads for varying wind *** admittance algorithm is simple and easy to implement and works very efficiently to generate the triggering signals for the controller of the *** wind power harnessing unit comprising of a squirrel cage induction generator,a star-delta transformer,a battery storage system and the control unit are modeled using Matlab/Simulink *** isolated transformer with a star-delta configuration connects the load and the generator circuit with the controller to reduce the dc bus voltage and mitigate current in the neutral *** response of the system during the dynamic loading depends on the best possible compensator proportional-integral(PI)*** antlion optimization algorithm is compared with particle swarm optimization and grey wolf optimization and is found to have the advantages of good convergence,high efficiency and fast calculating *** is therefore used to extract the optimal values of frequency and voltage PI *** simulation results of the control algorithm for the WPHU are validated in a real-time environment in a dSpace1104 laboratory set *** algorithm is proven to have a quick response,maintain the required frequency,suppress the current harmonics,regulate voltage,help in balancing the load and compensating for the neutral current.

Outbreaks of salmonellosis in three different poultry farms of Kerala,India

Avian salmonellosis is an important disease causing serious impediment to the development of poultry industry especially in developing countries of Asia and *** no"effective"immunoprophylactic measures are available for the disease till date,strict biosecurity is the only alternative to preclude the *** formulating the control measures,an understanding of the epidemiology of the disease,proper diagnosis and identification of the causative agent is *** report sheds light on three different outbreaks of salmonellosis in three different farms in Kerala(India)describing the disease diagnosis,antibiotic resistance and the suggested control *** the three isolates were revealed to be Salmonella gallinarum and were resistant to at least three of the antimicrobial agents tested.

Automated segmentation of brain tumors using Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)data is critical in the analysis and monitoring of disease *** a result,gliomas are aggressive and diverse tumors that may be split into intra-tumoral groups by using effective and accurate segmentation *** is intended to extract characteristics from an image using the Gray Level Co-occurrence(GLC)matrix feature extraction method described in the proposed *** Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),which are commonly used in biomedical image segmentation,CNNs have significantly improved the precision of the state-of-the-art segmentation of a brain *** two segmentation networks,a U-Net and a 3D CNN,we present a major yet easy combinative technique that results in improved and more precise *** U-Net and 3D CNN are used together in this study to get better and more accurate estimates of what is going *** the dataset,two models were developed and assessed to provide segmentation maps that differed fundamentally in terms of the segmented tumour ***,the estimates was made by two separate models that were put together to produce the final *** comparison to current state-of-the-art designs,the precision(percentage)was 98.35,98.5,and 99.4 on the validation set for tumor core,enhanced tumor,and whole tumor,respectively.

The Correlation Coefficient of Hesitancy Fuzzy Graphs in Decision Making

The hesitancy fuzzy graphs(HFGs),an extension of fuzzy graphs,are useful tools for dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty in issues involving decision-making(DM).This research implements a correlation coefficient measure(CCM)to assess the strength of the association between HFGs in this article since CCMs have a high capacity to process and interpret *** CCM that is proposed between the HFGs has better qualities than the existing *** lowers restrictions on the hesitant fuzzy elements’length and may be used to establish whether the HFGs are connected negatively or ***,a CCMbased attribute DM approach is built into a hesitant fuzzy *** article suggests the use of weighted correlation coefficient measures(WCCMs)using the CCM concept to quantify the correlation between two *** decisionmaking problems of hesitancy fuzzy preference relations(HFPRs)are *** research proposes a new technique for assessing the relative weights of experts based on the uncertainty of HFPRs and the correlation coefficient degree of each *** paper determines the ranking order of all alternatives and the best one by using the CCMs between each option and the ideal *** the meantime,the appropriate example is given to demonstrate the viability of the new strategies.

Chimera state is a peculiar spatiotemporal pattern,wherein the coherence and incoherence coexist in the network of coupled identical *** this paper,we study the chimera states in a network of impact oscillators with nonlocal *** investigate the effects of the coupling strength and the coupling range on the network *** results reveal the emergence of the chimera state for significantly small values of coupling strength,and higher coupling strength values lead to unbounded motions in the *** also study the network in the case of excitation *** observe that the coupling helps in the maintenance of an oscillatory motion with a lower amplitude in the failed oscillator.

A solar reactor for bio-diesel production from Pongamia oil: Studies on transesterfication process parameters and energy efficiency

Over exploitation of non-renewable energy reserves will lead to increase in price of petroleum *** there is a need for suitable and sustainable substitutes(renewable resource) for conventional *** this study,an efficient and environmental friendly method for production of bio-diesel from Pongamia(Karanja) oil has been developed using a solar *** the experimental study,the maximum temperature attained by the pongamia oil during the transesterification process was 64.1℃.The transesterification reaction was studied by varying different parameters such as reactant flow rate(5-20 L·h^(-1)),stirring speed(150-450 r·min^(-1)),catalyst mass loading(0.5%-2%) and methanol to oil ratio(3:1 to15:1).The maximum biodiesel yield was 83.11% at a flow rate of 5 L·h^(-1),stirring speed of 350 r·min^(-1),a methanol to oil ratio of 15:1,catalyst mass loading of 1% and reaction time of 270 *** physical and chemical properties of biodiesel was analyzed as per American Society for Testing Materials(ASTM) standards and it had density of 938 kg·m^(-3),viscosity(28.7×10^(-6) m~2·s^(-1)),acid value(9.45 mg KOH·(g oil)^(-1))and flash point(215℃).The energy efficiency of solar heating process was determined by comparing the net energy ratio of direct heating process and solar heating *** solar heating the net energy ratio(NER) was found to be 31.85 against 5.73 for direct ***,net energy efficiency index was calculated for 10 kg production scale and was found to be increasing when scaled up which means that the solar heating process is more effective even in scaled up production.

Dynamics of a neuron exposed to integer-and fractional-order discontinuous external magnetic flux

We propose a modified Fitzhugh-Nagumo neuron(MFNN) model. Based on this model, an integerorder MFNN system(case A) and a fractional-order MFNN system(case B) were investigated. In the presence of electromagnetic induction and radiation, memductance and induction can show a variety of distributions. Fractionalorder magnetic flux can then be considered. Indeed, a fractional-order setting can be acceptable for non-uniform diffusion. In the case of an MFNN system with integer-order discontinuous magnetic flux, the system has chaotic and non-chaotic attractors. Dynamical analysis of the system shows the birth and death of period doubling, which is a sign of antimonotonicity. Such a behavior has not been studied previously in the dynamics of neurons. In an MFNN system with fractional-order discontinuous magnetic flux, different attractors such as chaotic and periodic attractors can be observed. However, there is no sign of antimonotonicity.

The economic and financial systems consist of many nonlinear factors that make them behave as the complex *** many chaotic finance systems have been proposed to study the complex dynamics of finance as a noticeable problem in *** fact,the intricate structure between financial institutions can be obtained by using a network of financial ***,in this paper,we consider a ring network of coupled symmetric chaotic finance systems,and investigate its behavior by varying the coupling *** results show that the coupling strength and range have significant effects on the behavior of the coupled systems,and various patterns such as the chimera and multi-chimera states are ***,changing the parameters'values,remarkably influences on the oscillators *** several synchronous clusters are formed,the attractors of the synchronized oscillators are symmetric,but different from the single oscillator attractor.

To improve the controllability and utilization of distributed energy resources(DERs),distribution-level electricity markets based on consumers’bidding and offers have been ***,the transaction costs will dramatically increase with the rapid development of ***,in this paper,we develop an energy sharing scheme that allows users to share DERs with neighbors,and design a novel incentive mechanism for benefit allocation without users’bidding on electricity *** the energy sharing scheme,an aggregator organizes a number of electricity users,and trades with the connected power *** aggregator is aimed at minimizing the total costs by matching the surplus energy from DERs and electrical loads.A novel index,termed as sharing contribution rate(SCR),is presented to evaluate different users’contributions to the energy ***,based on users’SCRs,an efficient benefit allocation mechanism is implemented to determine the aggregator’s payment to users that incentivize their participation in energy *** avoid users’bidding,we propose a decentralized framework for the energy sharing and incentive *** studies based on real-world datasets demonstrate that the aggregator and users can benefit from the energy sharing scheme,and the incentive mechanism allocates the benefits according to users’contributions.
