Glass fi ber reinforced gypsum(GFRG) wall panels are prefabricated panels with hollow cores, originally developed in Australia and subsequently adopted by India and China for use in buildings. This paper discusses identifi cation and calibration of a suitable hysteretic model for GFRG wall panels fi lled with reinforced concrete. As considerable pinching was observed in the experimental results, a suitable hysteretic model with pinched hysteretic rule is used to conduct a series of quasi-static as inelastic hysteretic response analyses of GFRG panels with two different widths. The calibration of the pinching model parameters was carried out to approximately match the simulated and experimental responses up to 80% of the peak load in the post peak region. Interestingly, the same values of various parameters(energy dissipation and pinching related parameters) were obtained for all fi ve test specimens.

A visible light-active photoelectrocatalyst,ZnFe-layered double oxide(LDO)/cobalt(II,III)oxide(Co_(3)O_(4))composites were obtained by calcining the Co loaded ZnFe-layered double hydroxide(LDH)prepared by a hydrothermal and microwave hydrothermal *** morphological studies revealed that the ZnFe-LDO/Co_(3)O_(4) composites exhibited a flower-like structure comprising Co_(3)O_(4) nanowires and ZnFe-LDO ***,when the mass ratio of Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6H_(2)O/LDH was 1:1.8 and the calcination temperature was 550℃,the ZnFe-LDO/Co_(3)O_(4) composite exhibited 93.3%degradation efficiency for methylene blue(MB)at the applied voltage of 1.0 V under visible light after 3 ***,the Mott-Schottky model experiments showed that the formation of a p-n heterojunction between ZnFe-LDO and Co_(3)O_(4) could effectively inhibit the recombination of electrons and holes in the photoelectrocatalytic ***,free radical scavenging experiments showed that the active radicals of⋅OH played an important role in the degradation of ***,the photoelectrocatalytic effect of ZnFe-LDO/Co_(3)O_(4) provides a simple and effective strategy for the removal of organic pollutants.

Varalu is an early maturing rice variety widely grown in the rainfed ecosystem preferred for its grain type and cooking ***,the yield of Varalu is substantially low since it is being affected by reproductive drought stress along with the blast *** genetic improvement of Varalu was done by introgressing a major yield QTL,qDTY_(12.1),along with two major blast resistance genes ***54 and Pi1 through marker-assisted backcross *** traits were transferred till BC_(2) generation and intercrossing was followed to pyramid the two *** foreground selection was carried out using linked markers as well as peak markers(RM28099,RM28130,RM511 and RM28163)for the targeted QTL(qDTY_(12.1)),RM206 for Pi54 and RM224 for *** background selection was done using genome-wide SSR *** best lines(MSM-36,MSM-49,MSM-53,MSM-57,MSM-60 and MSM-63)having qDTY_(12.1) and two blast resistance genes in homozygous condition with recurrent parent genome of 95.0%-96.5% having minimal linkage drag of about 0.1 to 0.7 Mb were *** lines showed yield advantage under drought stress as well as irrigated ***-36 showed better performance in the national coordinated trials conducted across India,which indicated that improved lines of Varalu expected to replace Varalu and may have an important role in sustaining rice *** present study demonstrated the successful marker-assisted pyramiding strategy for introgression of genes/QTLs conferring biotic stress resistance and yield under abiotic stress in rice.

Introduction: The classification of functional dyspepsia into meaningful subgroups remains an important goal. The aim of this investigation was to determine correlations between dyspeptic symptoms with gastric physiology and psychologic distress. Methods: Consecutive patients with functional dyspepsia were evaluated with electrogastrography (EGG), drink test, and solid phase gastric emptying. Subjects also completed the Nepe an Dyspepsia Index, Psychologic General Well-Being Index, SCL-90R, and SF 36. Results: Eighty-one patients were evaluated. Gastric emptying was performed in 29 of 81 patients and was abnormal in 21%, but no correlation existed between symptoms and T 1/2 or TLAG. EGG was abnormal in 42%and drink test was abnormal in 40% of patients. Both were significantly associated with nausea but not with other symptoms. Significant correlations existed with 10 of 15 assessed symptoms and various subscales of the SCL-90R. Somatization was associated with abdominal burning, chest pain, abdominal pressure, abdominal discomfort, bad breath, chest burning, excessive fullness, bloating, abdominal pain, and regurgitation. An xiety was associated with abdominal burning, chest pain, abdominal pressure, and abdominal discomfort. Anger-hostility was associated with abdominal burning and abdominal pressure. Increased interpersonal sensitivity was associated with abdominal burning and chest burning. SCL-90R Global Symptom Score was associated with abdominal burning, chest pain, abdominal discomfort, and bad breath. Conclu sions: Abnormal gastric physiology as measured in this study was not associated with symptoms other than nausea. Significant associations existed between measures of psychiatric distress and digestive symptoms. Symptoms in functional dyspep sia had greater associations with psychologic distress than with commonly employed tests of gastric physiology.
