重工业的减碳和可再生能源技术的出现皆与获得矿物资源有着密不可分的联系。因此，迫切需要对关键元素在减少温室气体排放方面的作用进行基准评估。考察了钒作为微合金元素在建筑碳减排以及作为电网储能用液流电池的主要成分在能源转型中的作用。研究结果表明，钒可使每年减少总计1.85亿t碳排放。其中，中国和欧盟的减排幅度分别为各自排放量的1.15%和0.18%。研究结果强调了关键金属在发展低碳基础设施中的作用，同时指出了进行全面评估并施加政策干预减轻供应链风险的必要性。

BACKGROUND Reactivation of hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is a well-known risk that can occur spontaneously or following immunosuppressive therapies,including cancer *** reactivation can cause significant morbidity and even mortality,which are preventable if at-risk individuals are identified through screening and started on antiviral *** To determine the prevalence of chronic HBV(CHB)and occult HBV infection(OBI)among oncology and hematology-oncology patients undergoing *** In this observational study,the prevalence of CHB and OBI was assessed among patients receiving *** markers of HBV infection[hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)/anti-hepatitis B core antigen(HBc)]were evaluated for all *** DNA levels were assessed in those who tested negative for HBsAg but positive for total *** The prevalence of CHB in the study cohort was determined to be 2.3%[95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.0-4.2].Additionally,the prevalence of OBI among the study participants was found to be 0.8%(95%CI:0.2-2.3).CONCLUSION The findings of this study highlight the importance of screening for hepatitis B infection in oncology and hematology-oncology patients undergoing *** individuals with CHB and OBI is crucial for implementing appropriate antiviral prophylaxis to prevent the reactivation of HBV infection,which can lead to increased morbidity and mortality.

The application of extracellular vesicles,particularly exosomes(EXs),is rapidly expanding in the field of medicine,owing to their remarkable properties as natural carriers of biological *** study investigates utilization of exosomes derived from stromal cells of tumor adjacent normal tissues(NAF-EXs)for personalized medicine,which can be derived at the time of diagnosis by endoscopic ***,we show that exosomes(EXs)derived from NAFs demonstrate differential bio-physical characteristics,efficient cellular internalization,drug loading efficiency,pancreatic tumor targeting and delivery of ***-derived EXs(NAF-EXs)were used for loading ormeloxifene(ORM),a potent anti-cancer and desmoplasia inhibitor as a model *** found that ORM maintains normal fibroblast cell phenotype and renders them incompatible to be triggered for a CAF-like phenotype,which may be due to regulation of Ca^(2+) influx in fibroblast ***-EXs-ORM effectively blocked oncogenic signaling pathways involved in desmoplasia and epithelial mesenchymal transition(EMT)and repressed tumor growth in xenograft mouse *** conclusion,our data suggests preferential tropism of NAF-EXs for PDAC tumors,thus imply feasibility of developing a novel personalized medicine for PDAC patients using autologous NAF-EXs for improved therapeutic outcome of anti-cancer ***,it provides the opportunity of utilizing this biological scaffold for effective therapeutics in combination with standard therapeutic regimen.

Microplasmas are very interesting due to their unique properties and achievable regimes maintained at atmospheric pressures. Due to the small scales, numerical modeling could contribute to the understanding of underlying phenomena as it provides access to local parameters — and complements experimental global characteristics. A self-consistent formalism,applied to nanosecond pulsed atmospheric non-equilibrium helium plasmas, reveals that several successive discharges can persist as a result of a combined volume and dielectric surface effects. The valuable insights provided by the spatiotemporal simulation results show the critical importance of coupled gas and plasma dynamics — namely gas heating and electric field reversals.

Background:So far,macroecological studies in the Himalaya have mostly concentrated on spatial variation of overall species richness along the elevational *** few studies have attempted to document the diference in elevational richness patterns of native and exotic *** this study,this knowledge gap is addressed by integrating data on phylogeny and elevational distribution of species to identify the variation in species richness,phylogenetic diversity and phylogenetic structure of exotic and native plant species along an elevational gradient in the ***:Species distribution patterns for exotic and native species difered;exotics tended to show maximum species richness at low elevations while natives tended to predominate at *** species assemblages showed higher phylogenetic diversity than the exotic species assemblages over the entire elevational gradient in the *** terms of phylogenetic structure,exotic species assemblages showed majorly phylogenetic clustering while native species assemblages were characterized by phylogenetic overdispersion over the entire ***:The fndings of this study indicate that areas with high native species richness and phylogenetic diversity are less receptive to exotic species and vice versa in the *** assemblages with high native phylogenetic overdispersion are less receptive to exotic species than the phylogenetically clustered *** ecological processes(ecological fltering in case of exotics and resource and niche competition in case of natives)may govern the distribution of exotic and native species along the elevational gradient in the Himalaya.

Alterations to the gut microbiome and exposure to metals during pregnancy have been suggested to impact inflammatory bowel ***,how prenatal exposure to metals eventually results in long-term effects on the gut microbiome,leading to subclinical intestinal inflammation,particularly during late childhood,has not been *** is also unknown whether such an interactive effect drives a specific subgroup of children toward elevated susceptibility to intestinal *** used an amalgamation of machine-learning techniques with a regression-based framework to explore if children with distinct sets of gut microbes and certain patterns of exposure to metals during pregnancy(metal−microbial clique signature)had a higher likelihood of intestinal inflammation,measured based on fecal calprotectin(FC)in late *** obtained samples from a well-characterized longitudinal birth cohort from Mexico City(n=108),*** the second and third trimesters of pregnancy,11 metals were measured in whole *** microbial abundances and FC were measured in stool samples from children 9−11 years of *** FC was defined as having FC above 100μg/g of *** identified subgroups of children in whom microbial and metal−microbial clique signatures were associated with elevated FC(false discovery rate(FDR)<0.05).In particular,we found two metal−microbial clique signatures significantly associated with elevated FC:(1)low cesium(Cs)and copper(Cu)in the third trimester and low relative abundance of Eubacterium ventriosum(OR[95%CI]:10.27[3.57,29.52],FDR<0.001)and(2)low Cu in the third trimester and high relative abundances of Roseburia inulinivorans and Ruminococcus torques(OR[95%CI]:7.21[1.81,28.77],FDR<0.05).This exploratory study demonstrates that children with specific gut microbes and specific exposure patterns to metals during pregnancy may have higher fecal calprotectin levels in late childhood,denoting an elevated risk of intestinal inflammation.

Background The aim of this study is to examine the effects of four different bioclimatic predictors(current,2050,2070,and 2090 under Shared Socioeconomic Pathways SSP2-4.5)and non-bioclimatic variables(soil,habitat heterogeneity index,land use,slope,and aspect)on the habitat suitability and niche dimensions of the critically endangered plant species Commiphora wightii in *** also evaluate how niche modelling affects its extent of occurrence(EOO)and area of occupancy(AOO).Results The area under the receiver operating curve(AUC)values produced by the maximum entropy(Maxent)under various bioclimatic time frames were more than 0.94,indicating excellent model ***-bioclimatic characteristics,with the exception of terrain slope and aspect,decreased the accuracy of our ***,Maxent accuracy was the lowest across all combinations of bioclimatic and non-bioclimatic variables(AUC=0.75 to 0.78).With current,2050,and 2070 bioclimatic projections,our modelling revealed the significance of water availability parameters(BC-12 to BC-19,*** and seasonal precipitation as well as precipitation of wettest,driest,and coldest months and quarters)on habitat suitability for this ***,with 2090 projection,energy variables such as mean temperature of wettest quarter(BC-8)and isothermality(BC-3)were identified as governing *** salt,rooting conditions,land use type(grassland),characteristics of the plant community,and slope were also noticed to have an impact on this *** distribution modelling of this species in both its native(west-ern India)and exotic(North-east,Central Part of India,as well as northern and eastern Ghat)habitats,we were also able to simulate both its fundamental niche and its realized *** EOO and AOO analysis reflects the possibility of many new areas in India where this species can be planted and *** According to the calculated area under the various suitability classes,we can conclude

Artificial neural network based modeling of liquid membranes for separation of dysprosium

In recent years,the liquid membrane process has been widely investigated to remove rare earth ***,transport modeling of this process requires the accurate values of several parameters,which are difficult to ***,the accurate simulation of this process is a challenging *** this study,the artificial neural network(ANN)based approach is used to model the liquid membrane process for removing *** results from a previous study were used to train the ***,the number of neurons in the hidden layer was *** minimum mean squared error between experimental results and model predictions is found with ten *** predictions were successfully validated with experimental results with correlation factor(R)of 0.9987,which confirms the authenticity of the trained *** ANN was then used to study the effects of different operating parameters on transport *** higher volume ratio of membrane solution to feed solution(3-4)with 50-60 min of operation,higher feed pH(5),HCl concentration in stripping solution of 2 mol/L,and moderate concentration of carrier species(0.5 mol/L)with 0.5×10^(-4) mol/L dysprosium initial concentration are found to be optimum values of operating conditions for maximizing the transport rate.

Pixel-Level Feature Extraction Model for Breast Cancer Detection

Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among women,and diagnosing it early is vital for successful *** examination of images captured during biopsies plays an important role in determining whether a patient has cancer or ***,the stochastic patterns,varying intensities of colors,and the large sizes of these images make it challenging to identify and mark malignant regions in *** this backdrop,this study proposes an approach to the pixel categorization based on the genetic algorithm(GA)and principal component analysis(PCA).The spatial features of the images were extracted using various filters,and the most prevalent ones are selected using the GA and fed into the classifiers for pixel-level *** classifiers—random forest(RF),decision tree(DT),and extra tree(ET)—were used in the proposed *** parameters of all modelswere separately tuned,and their performance was *** results show that the features extracted by using the GA+PCA in the proposed model are influential and reliable for pixel-level classification in service of the image annotation and tumor ***,an image from benign,malignant,and normal classes was randomly selected and used to test the proposed *** proposed modelGA-PCA-DT has delivered accuracies between 0.99 to 1.0 on a reduced feature *** predicted pixel sets were also compared with their respective ground-truth values to assess the overall performance of the method on two metrics—the universal image quality index(UIQI)and the structural similarity index(SSI).Both quality measures delivered excellent results.
