Background:Hard mineral and acid salt deposits that clump together in concentrated urine are known as kidney stones.A complicated chain of physicochemical events,including hyper saturation,nucleation,growth,aggrega-tion,and retention in the urinary tract,leads to urolithiasis,the third most prevalent urinary tract *** traditional medications and therapies are less successful in treating urolithiasis and frequently cause ***:The present study is focused on evaluating the anti-urolithiasis activities of the polyherbal formulation prepared from Spinacia oleracea *** Coriandrum sativum ***:To evaluating the anti-urolithiasis activities of the polyherbal formulation prepared from *** and *** seeds against oxalate crystals by employing an in vitro inhibition,aggregation,and nucleation assay,employing a spectrophotometer followed by microscopic observation,and further monitored by egg semiperme-able membrane model,using cystone as a standard ***:In the present work,the alkaloids,glycosides,flavonoids,glycosides,phenols,saponins,steroids,tannins,terpenoids,and triterpenoids were found in the extracts of *** and *** in vitro assays in the present study clearly indicated that all the mixture extracts readily prevented crystal nucleation,growth and *** aqueous extract of the mixture inhibited significant inhibitory potential against the crystallization ***:It can be said that the phyto-constituents enriched homemade preparation possibly will be used as a medication for the management of kidney stones by dissolving the oxalate stone in the kidney.

Physical chemical and biological characterization of a new bacteriocin produced by Bacillus cereus NS02

Objective:To screen the bacteriocinogenic isolate from buffalo milk and to characterize it on physical,chemical and biological aspects for the application in ***:Bacillus cereus(***)was isolated and assessed for its baceteriocinogenic *** was produced and purified by ammonium sulphate precipitation,dialysis and gel filtration *** bacteriocin was used to clieck its antimicrobial activity against food borne *** and stability of bacteripcin was determined with the respect to temperature,pH,enzymes,organic solvents and *** was also subjected to SDS PAGE analysis to determine its molecular *** addition,functional groups exist in the bacteriocin was determined by FTIR ***:*** was identified by 16S rRNA sequence *** showed increased activity against all the bacteria used and its activity unit was found to be 51,200 AU/*** was stable to high temperature(100℃)and wide range of pH(3-10),sensitive to proteolytic enzymes and resistant to nonprotcolytic *** was low molecular weight(3.5-6 kDa)protein and FTIR study revealed the presence of amide group and NH stretching,Conclusions:Bacteriocin produced in this study possesses the highest antimicrobial activity against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria thereby it has immense application as biopreservative *** proved its peptide nature.

This paper presents the simulation and implementation of a reconfigurable pixel that serves both data acquisition and energy harvesting *** main topic focuses on switching between the two operating modes of the photodiode:photoconductive and photovoltaic *** proposed model can be used to design novel optical sensors with energy harvesting capability,such as position sensitive device(PSD)and complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS)image sensors,which can extend the battery lifetime of the whole optical ***,we can overcome power supply problems like wiring and changing batteries frequently,especially in hard-to-reach places like space(cube satellites)or even underwater wireless optical communication(UWOC).The proposed pixel architecture offers the advantage of a minimalistic design with only four ***,it does come with a drawback in the form of higher noise *** simulation was achieved using MATLAB,and the implementation was performed using the programmable system-on-chip(PSoC)*** results showed that the functionality of the dual-function pixel is correct,and the scheduling of both energy harvesting and signal sensing functions was successfully achieved.

Plasticized Polymer Electrolyte Membranes Based on PEO/PVdF-HFP for Use as an Effective Electrolyte in Lithium-ion Batteries

Plasticized polymer electrolytes were prepared using poly（ethylene oxide）(PEO)/poly（vinylidene fluoridehexafluoro propylene）(PVd F-HFP) with lithium perchlorate（Li Cl O4） and different plasticizers. XRD and FTIR spectroscopic techniques were used to characterize the structure and the complexation of plasticizer with the host polymer matrix. The role of interaction between polymer hosts and plasticizer on conductivity is discussed using the results of alternating current（a.c.） impedance studies. TG-DTA and SEM were used for thermal and physical characterizations. Maximum ionic conductivity(3.26 × 10;S·cm;) has been observed for ethylene carbonate（EC）-based polymer electrolytes. Electrochemical performance of the plasticized polymer electrolyte is evaluated in LiFePO;/plasticized polymer electrolytes（PPEs）/Li coin cell. Good performance with low capacity fading on charge discharge cycling is demonstrated.

Momentum Search Algorithm for Analysis of Fuel Cell Vehicle-to-Grid System with Large-scale Buildings

The design and analysis of a fuel cell vehi-cle-to-grid(FCV2G)system with a high voltage conver-sion interface is *** system aims to maximize the utilization of fuel cell vehicles(FCVs)as distributed energy resources,allowing them to actively participate in the energy *** proposed FCV2G system has FCVs,power electronics interfaces,and the electrical *** power electronics interfaces are responsible for con-verting the low-voltage output of the fuel cell stack into high-voltage DC power,and ensuring efficient power transfer between the FCVs and the *** optimize the operation of the FCV2G system,the momentum search algorithm(MSA)is *** applying MSA,the FCV2G system can achieve optimal power dispatch,con-sidering factors such as energy efficiency,grid stability,and economic *** proposed method is tested in *** best MSA and dynamic load profile solu-tions are run for 24 h and the results show that 100%import of FCVs 51.0%more than 100%electric ***-cutting and vehicle-to-grid service revenue are 30.5%and 95.0%greater,*** discharge loss,high capacity,and high discharge power are the main advantages of *** benchmark FCVs ratio of 15%is used for sensitivity *** findings reveal that the overall advantages of FCV2G are *** Terms—Continuous conduction mode,DC-DC converter,discontinuous conduction mode,fuel cell vehi-cle,utility-grids,vehicle-to-grid.

Current protective strategies in liver surgery

During liver resection surgery for cancer or liver transplantation,the liver is subject to ischaemia (reduction in blood flow) followed by reperfusion (restoration of blood flow),which results in liver injury [ischemiareperfusion (IR) or IR injury]. Modulation of IR injury can be achieved in various ways. These include hypothermia,ischaemic preconditioning (IPC) (brief cycles of ischaemia followed by reperfusion of the organ before the prolonged period of ischaemia i.e. a conditioning response),ischaemic postconditioning (conditioning after the prolonged period of ischaemia but before the reperfusion),pharmacological agents to decrease IR injury,genetic modulation of IR injury,and machine perfusion (pulsatile perfusion). Hypothermia decreases the metabolic functions and the oxygen consumption of organs. Static cold storage in University of Wisconsin solution reduces IR injury and has prolonged organ storage and improved the function of transplanted grafts. There is currently no evidence for any clinical advantage in the use of alternate solutions for static cold storage. Although experimental data from animal models suggest that IPC,ischaemic postconditioning,various pharma-cological agents,gene therapy,and machine perfusion decrease IR injury,none of these interventions can be recommended in clinical practice. This is because of the lack of randomized controlled trials assessing the safety and efficacy of ischaemic postconditioning,gene therapy,and machine perfusion. Randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials assessing the safety and efficacy of IPC and various pharmacological agents have demonstrated biochemical or histological improvements but this has not translated to clinical benefit. Further well designed randomized controlled trials are necessary to assess the various new protective strategies in liver resection.

Wavelet based detection of ventricular arrhythmias with neural network classifier

This paper presents an algorithm based on the wavelet decomposition, for feature extraction from the Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal and recognition of three types of Ventricular Arrhythmias using neural networks. A set of Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) coefficients, which contain the maximum information about the arrhythmias, is selected from the wavelet decomposition. These coefficients are fed to the feed forward neural network which classifies the arrhythmias. The algorithm is applied on the ECG registrations from the MIT-BIH arrhythmia and malignant ventricular arrhythmia databases. We applied Daubechies 4 wavelet in our algorithm. The wavelet decomposition enabled us to perform the task efficiently and produced reliable results.

Effect of quercetin against lindane induced alterations in the serum and hepatic tissue lipids in wistar rats

Objective:To assess the effect of quercetin(flavonoid) against lindane induced alterations in lipid profile of wistar ***:Rats were administered orally with lindane(100 mg/kg body weight) and quercetin(10 mg/kg body weight) for 30 *** the end of treatment period lipid profile was estimated in serum and ***:Elevated levels of serum cholesterol, triglycerides,low density lipoprotein(LDL),very Low Density Lipoprotein(VLDL) and tissue triglycerides,cholesterol with concomitant decrease in serum HDL and tissue phospholipids were decreased in lindane treated rats were found to be significantly decreased in the quercetin and lindane co-treated ***:Our study suggests that quercetin has hypolipidemic effect and offers protection against lindane induced toxicity in liver by restoring the altered levels of *** quercetin cotreatment along with lindane for 30 days reversed these biochemical alterations in lipids induced by lindane.
