The Ethereum blockchain’s smart contract is a programmable transaction that performs general-purpose computations and can be executed automatically on the *** this component,blockchain technology(BT)has grown beyond the scope of cryptocurrencies and can now be applicable in various industries other than *** this paper,we investigated the current trends in Ethereum-based decentralized applications(DApps)to be able to categorize and analyze the DApps to measure the complexity of smart contracts behind them,their level of security and their correlation to the maintainability of the *** leveraged the source code analysis,security analysis,and the developmental metadata of the DApps to infer this *** on our findings,we concluded that the maintainability of Ethereum DApps is proportional to the code size,number of functions,and,most importantly,the number of outgoing invocations and statements in the smart contracts.

Android is currently one of the most popular smartphone operating systems. however, Android has the largest share of global mobile malware and significant public attention has been brought to the security issues of Android. In this paper, we investigate the use of a clone detector to identify known Android malware. We collect a set of Android applications known to contain malware and a set of benign applications. We extract the Java source code from the binary code of the applications and use NiCad, a near-miss clone detector, to find the classes of clones in a small subset of the malicious applications. We then use these clone classes as a signature to find similar source files in the rest of the malicious applications. The benign collection is used as a control group. In our evaluation, we successfully decompile more than 1 000 malicious apps in 19 malware families. Our results show that using a small portion of malicious applications as a training set can detect 95% of previously known malware with very low false positives and high accuracy at 96.88%. A highly sensitive, accurate and rapid analytical method based on reversed-phase liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (RP-LC-ESI-MS/MS) has been developed and validated for the determination of repaglinide in human plasma using cetirizine as an internal standard (IS). The method was validated over a linear range of 0.5 - 100 ng/ml. After addition of IS, analytes were extracted from the plasma samples by liquid-liquid extraction using tert-butyl methyl ether as. The dried residue was reconstituted with 500 μL of mobile phase consisting of water/methanol/acetonitrile (62.5:20:17.5, v/v/v) and 0.2% formic acid. Chromatographic separations were achieved on a C18 analytical column. The analytes were detected with a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer using turbo V? ion spray source with positive ionization in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode using MRM transitions m/z 453.3 > 162.2 and m/z 389.0 > 201.1 for the drug and IS, respectively. The proposed method was fully validated in terms of linearity, accuracy, precision, specificity, sensitivity, recovery and stability, giving results within the acceptable range. This method was successfully applied for a large number of authentic human plasma samples from a bioequivalence study.

Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a vital element in Internet of Things(IoT)as the former enables the collection of huge quantities of data in energy-constrained *** offers independent access to the target region and performs data collection in an effective *** energy constraints remain a challenging issue in WSN since it operates on in-built *** studies conducted earlier recommended that the energy spent on communication processmust be considerably reduced to improve the efficiency of *** organization and optimal selection of the routes are considered as NP hard optimization problems which can be resolved with the help of metaheuristic *** and routing are considered as effective approaches in enhancing the energy effectiveness and lifespan of *** this background,the current study develops an Improved Duck and Traveller Optimization(IDTO)-enabled cluster-based Multi-hop Routing(IDTOMhR)technique for ***,IDTO algorithm is exploited for the selection of Cluster head(Ch)and construction of ***,Artificial Gorilla Troops Optimization(ATGO)technique is also used to derive an optimal set of routes to the *** clustering and routing approaches derive a fitness function with the inclusion of multiple input *** proposed IDTOMhR model was experimentally validated for its performance under different *** extensive experimental results confirmed the better performance of IDTOMhR model over other recent approaches.

Genotoxicity among hairdressers and the Level of Commitment to Occupational Safety Measures at Beauty Salons, in Zagazig City, Egypt

hairdressers are chronically exposed to several occupational hazards during their work including potentially genotoxic chemicals. hair dying, hair smoothening and straightening products are hazardous chemicals that affect human health and are frequently used in beauty salons. So, this study aimed to evaluate the genotoxic risk among the studied hairdressers, to estimate the level of p-phenylenediamine (p-PDA) in urine and to assess the degree of adherence of the studied hair- dressers to occupational safety measures at work. A comparative cross sectional study was carried out on 40 hairdressers working in beauty salons in Zagazig city, Egypt and 40 administrative staff at faculty of medicine as a control group. The results of the study revealed a significant increase in mean concentration of urinary p-PDA as well as significant increase in DNA damage assessed by Comet assay in lymphocytes among studied hairdressers than among their controls. Also, there was a statistically significant decrease in adherence to most of the occupational safety precaution measures that should be followed by the studied hairdressers. The significant risk factors of high Comet total mean score among the studied hairdressers were occupational use of hair straightening ≥8 times/week, use of hair dyes at work ≥15 times/week, length of service ≥13 years, negligence of wearing gloves during work, use of bleaching agents ≥12/week and negligence of hand wash after handling chemicals. So, it was concluded that the hairdressers are occupationally exposed to the risk of genotoxic hazards from chemicals frequently used in their work. The lack of commitment to occupational safety measures at beauty salons like wearing gloves during work and hand washing increases the risk of genotoxicity.

Femoral sheath removal after cardiac catheterization in the Jordanian hospitals: An explorative study

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the methods of sheath removal (femostop, compressor and manual compression) among Jordanian patients post cardiac catherization. Material and Methods: A descriptive explorative design utilized to collect data from 87 patients underwent cardiac catherization. Data collected on demographics, health remarks and complication pre and post cardiac catherization and in relation to sheath removal methods and complications. Results: The majority of the patients (94.2%, n = 80) had a manual sheath removal compared to 1% (n = 1) compression and 7% (n = 6) had femostop method. Kruskal-Wallis h test revealed there were significance difference in PTT and ACT reports in relation to type of procedures (0.24, p 0.015;0.32, p = 0.005 respectively). however, there were no significant differences between methods of sheath removal methods in relation to pain level, MAP before, MAP after, and heart rate with p value > 0.05. Patient’s age had negative association with hR after the procedure (BTAU = -0.19, p = 0.02), while no significant differences found in post catherization complication (hematoma and pain level) and all other health remarks (p > 0.05) in regards to patients’ age and gender. Moreover, patients’ MAP readings were significantly different in relation to number of rest hour that patients had post cardiac catherization (p = 0.049). Conclusion: The study found that most patients and health professionals preferred manual removal methods of sheath post cardiac catherization. Cardiac health professionals, has to consider health remarks and demographic characteristics of their patients when planning care for their patients and more research needed to explore these issues.
