The syntheses of a variety of 1,3,5-triazinebenzim.dazoles obtained by the cyclocondensafion reaction of 2-guanidinobenzim.dazole with a series of m.ta-substituted benzaldehydes were reported. The prepared com.ounds were fully characterized by IR and Nm. spectroscopies. Based on the density functional theory（DFT） calculations m.thod, quantum.chem.cal calculations were perform.d by Gaussian 09 set of program.. All possible transition states, reactants and products were fully optim.zed at the hybrid density functional B3LYP level using the 6-311＋G（d,p）. The geom.tries of five possible tautom.rs of 2-am.no-4-aryl[1,3,5]triazino[1,2-a]benzim.dazoles were optim.zed in ethanol, using conductor like polarizable confinuum.CPCm. in the gas phase. The energetic diagram. of tautom.ric equilibrium.showed that form.A is the m.st stable tautom.r which proved to be in accordance with the X-ray diffraction structure analysis. In order to interpret the reaction m.chanism. the chem.cal reactivity was studied using local and global reactivity indexes.

BK virus (BKV) m.y cause nephropathy in renal transplant recipients receiving im.unosuppressive therapy, resulting in renal dysfunction and, possibly graft loss. However, the positive and negative predictive values of BK viral load are still controversial. In this prospective, single-center study, BKV DNA was m.asured 1, 3 and 6 m.nths after transplantation. The viral load in urine and plasm. was quantified with the real-tim. Q-PCR (Argen kit) in 73 renal allograft recipients Three of them.showed acute rejection. To determ.ne the cutoff value of viral load, 60 sera sam.les of healthy blood donors, m.tched for age and sex, were tested. The m.an plasm.tic viral load one m.nth post-transplantation was statistically higher in renal transplant recipients (17.23 copies/m.) com.ared to that in controls (2 copies/m.) (p: 0.06). This difference of the distribution of virem.a values is m.re evident in the third and sixth m.nth (p: 0.002 and 0.010 respectively). Furtherm.re, analysis of the kinetic of viral load revealed an average rise of virem.a at 3 m.nths (1589.14 copies/m.) followed by its decrease at 6 m.nths (249.75 copies/m.). However, the difference was not statistically significant. The sam. is true for the distribution of values of viruria and in all cases the average viral load was statistically higher in urine than in plasm.. In addition, this study did not shown significant relationsheep between virem.a/viruria and the occurrence of acute rejection, the renal function deterioration, the source of allograft or im.unosuppressive therapy protocol. If the results of this study dem.nstrate the im.ortance of the replication of BKV in renal transplant patients from.the first m.nth com.ared to that in im.unocom.etent subjects, the screening of the DNA of this virus does not appear to have a prognostic value in the occurrence of acute rejection. However, the plasm. and urine m.nitoring of BKV load beyond 6 m.nths , not appear to exclude the relationsheep between these two

Background:Waterbirds are globally declining as a result of habitat loss, alteration or degradation. Fishing activities m.y affect waterbird distribution, abundance and diversity, and traditional fishing activities often enhance waterbird abundance. We tested this hypothesis by studying the abundance and diversity of selected com.on waterbird species in the Kadalundi–Vallikkunnu Com.unity Reserve, a globally significant wetland in southwestern India in relation to fishing ***:We m.nitored waterbird abundance four tim.s a m.nth from.2012 to 2015 using direct observation m.thod during low tide. Traditional bam.oo fish traps were deployed during the first and third weeks of each m.nth. ANOVAs(one-way and m.lti-way) were used to exam.ne how waterbird counts diversity varied in relation to years, seasons and period of fishing traps. Additionally we conducted a linear regression to exam.ne the relationship between fish occurrence and waterbird counts and ***:Waterbird counts varied with years and seasons, with the m.xim.m.counts being recorded during the postm.nsoon(winter). Individual species varied in their responses to trap deploym.nt. Sm.ll waterbird species usually forage in shallow shorelines, increased during trap deploym.nt whereas the larger waterbirds were not affected by trap deploym.nt because they tend to hunt in deeper waters. The total fish captured was an im.ortant predictor of both waterbird abundance and ***:In this study we docum.nted a positive association between traditional fish trap deploym.nt and waterbird counts and diversity. Providing high quality habitats for waterbirds as well as effective sustainable livelihoods through traditional fisheries is a critical m.nagem.nt issue.

The effects of the starvation trial on the biochem.cal com.osition and the fatty acid dynam.cs in the triacylglycerol fraction of the digestive gland, gonads and adductor m.scle of the scallop Flexopecten glaber were assessed. Results show that three weeks of food deprivation induce depletion of carbohydrates and a significant decrease in proteins and lipids. The noteworthy patterns recorded for the various classes of lipids were the increase of the am.unt of phosphatidylethanolam.ne against a strong decline of m.no-diacylglycerols, triacylglycerol and phosphatidylserine classes in gonads. These results reflect the ability of Flexopecten glaber to rem.del endogenous lipid classes in order to avoid the gonads deterioration. In the starved specim.ns, severe declines of the n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid group were recorded in the triacylglycerol fraction of digestive gland and adductor m.scle against the increase of this group in gonads. These results confirm.the role of triacylglycerol as a polyunsaturated fatty acids reservoir and pointed out to their m.bilization from.storage organs to the developing gonads during the food shortage trial. Exam.nation of fatty acid data revealed that food deprivation lead Flexopecten glaber to invest in saving and accum.lation of highly unsaturated fatty acids in gonads. This applies m.inly to the arachidonic acid (20:4n-6) and the docosahexaenoic acid (22:6n-3).

Hyper-im.unoglobulin m.syndrom. is an X-linked prim.ry im.unodeficiency disease caused by m.tations in the CD40 ligand *** CD40 ligand has been recently highlighted as playing a key role in the pathogenesis of prim.ry biliary *** the present study,we assessed an extensive set of serum.autoantibodies in a series of well-defined patients with hyper-im.unoglobulin m.***,liver-related and liver-not-related autoantibodies IgG,Igm.and IgA were tested by ELISA and standard indirect im.unofluorescence in HEp-2 cells in 13 Tunisian patients(8 m.les and 5 fem.les,aged 1–12 years)with hyper-im.unoglobulin m.syndrom. during 1995–2012 and,as controls,21 age-and gender-m.tched blood *** level of Igm.antibody against m.T3 was significantly higher in patients than in controls(35.8 vs 10.7,P=0.002).Half of the hyperim.unoglobulin m.syndrom. patients were found to be anti-m.T3 Igm.positive vs none of the controls(Po0.0001).Twenty-three percent of patients were found to be anti-sp100 antibody positive vs only 0.05%of *** im.unofluorescence,92.3%of patients were m.T3 Igm.positive vs none of the *** conclusion,the Igm.class of anti-m.T3 antibodies was shown to be present by both ELISA and im.unofluorescence in m.st of the patients with hyper-im.unoglobulin m.*** presence of the hallm.rk of prim.ry biliary cholangitis,a disease where the CD40 ligand is a key player,in an im.unodeficiency disease caused by m.tations in the CD40 ligand gene is very intriguing and opens new scenarios in understanding the im.une pathogenesis of prim.ry biliary cholangitis.

The effects of solar and experim.ntal drying on the protein concentration and total fatty acid (TFA) content of the m.scles of Atherina boyeri (sand sm.lt) were studied. The percentage of protein was 18.3% for fresh fish and 14.2% for sun-dried fish, while TFA content was 4.9 g/100g and 0.5 g/100g. After the drying experim.nt, the percentage of protein was 23% and the fatty acid (FA) content was 2.8 g/100g. The results show that natural or experim.ntal drying favors saturated fatty acids. The n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are less sensitive to heat than the n-6 PUFAs. From.a nutritional point of view, it seem. that the drying conditions, where param.ters are T = 50℃, m.isture = 30% and air speed = 2 m.s, would be the m.st beneficial for the preservation of sand sm.lt.
