AIM:To identify blood donors with occult hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection(OBI) to promote safe blood ***:Descriptive cross sectional study was conducted on 3167 blood donors negative for hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg),hepatitis C antibody(HCV Ab) and human immunodeficiency virus *** were subjected to the detection of alanine aminotransferase(ALT) and aspartate transaminase(AsT) and screening for anti-HBV core antibodies(total) by two different techniques;[Monoliza antibodies to hepatitis B core(Anti-HBc) Plus-Bio-Rad] and(ARC-HBc total-ABBOT).Positive samples were subjected to quantitative detection of antibodies to hepatitis B surface(anti-HBs)(ETI-AB-AUK-3,Dia sorin-Italy).serum anti-HBs titers > 10 IU/L was considered *** HBV DNA by real time polymerase chain reaction(PCR)(QIAGEN-Germany) with 3.8 IU/mL detection limit was estimated for blood units with negative serum anti-HBs and also for 32 whose anti-HBs serum titers were > 1000 IU/***,265 recipients were included,34 of whom were followed up for 3-6 *** were investigated for ALT and AsT,HBV serological markers:HBsAg(ETI-MAK-4,Dia sorin-Italy),anti-HBc,quantitative detection of anti-HBs and ***:525/3167(16.6%) of blood units were positive for total anti-HBc,64% of those were antiHBs *** by ARCHITECT anti-HBc assay were carried out for 498/525 anti-HBc positive samples,where 451(90.6%) confirmed *** for anti-HBc was considered confirmed only if two positive results were obtained for each sample,giving an overall prevalence of 451/3167(14.2%) for total *** DNA was quantified by real time PCR in 52/303(17.2%) of anti-HBc positive blood donors(viral load range:5 to 3.5 x 105 IU/mL) with a median of 200 IU/mL(mean:1.8 x 104 ± 5.1 x 104 IU/mL).AntiHBc was the only marker in 68.6% of *** and multivariate logistic analysis for identifying risk factors associated with anti-HBc and HBV-DNA positivity a

Objective: The aim of this trial was to determine whether endometrial scratch-suction caused by insertion tube of (IUCD) with suction improved the probability of pregnancy in the subsequent IVF cycle in patients who had previous failed IVF outcome by removing small polyps and any hazardous materials. Design: Observational prospective cohort experimental study. setting: Zagazig University Hospital, Obstetrics and Gynecology department. From period between september 2011 till september 2012. Population: 30 patients with previous failed IVF despite transfer of goodquality embryos were allocated to endometrial scratch-suction in the same the cycle of embryo transfer. Methods: From day 5 to day 7 of same ICsI cycle, the patients in study underwent endometrial scratch-suction technique. After preparation of insertion tube of (IUCD) and infant feeding tube 8 F, moving the insertion tube of IUCD from below upwards with scratching anterior uterine wall, then posterior, then left lateral uterine wall, then right lateral uterine wall, then fundus, all these steps are associated with suction by attaching proximal end of infant feeding tube 8 F to suction apparatus. Main Outcome Measures: Implantation and clinical pregnancy rates. Results: The implantation occurred in 24/30 (80%). The clinical pregnancy occurred in 20/30 patients (66.66%). 12/30 patients (40%) during scratch-suction technique had small fleshy masses obstructing suction tube which were small endometrial polyps. Conclusions: Endometrial scratch-suction improves clinical pregnancy and implantation rates in the same IVF-ET cycle in patients with previous unsuccessful IVF cycles.

The aim of this study was to assess knowledge, attitudes and practice of mothers towards children’s vaccination. strong>Background:strong> Vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) are considered one of the main causes of sicknesses and deaths among children all over the world. Parents’ knowledge and attitude towards immunization are likely to influence uptake. Vaccination is one of the most cost-effective public health tools to prevent infectious diseases. This study assessed knowledge, attitudes and practice of mothers towards children’s vaccination. strong>Design: strong>Cross-sectional study was conducted from April 1st to May 1st in 2016 among mothers whose children under five years which was carried out at their home in Alfatih one. The sampling method used was simple random sampling. The first house was selected randomly according to availability of household list. Total number of mothers under study were 210 selected randomly from 400 mothers’ home. structured interviewing sheets were used to assess sociodemographic data, knowledge, attitude and practice of mothers toward vaccination. The data were analyzed using sPss (stand for statistical product and service solutions) version 20. strong>Results:strong> It’s revealed that the correlation between knowledge and practice of the studied mothers was statistically insignificant. strong>Conclusion: strong>More than two third of studied mothers had poor knowledge, while on other hand their practice was good towards vaccination.

123I is the most widely used cyclotron-produced radio-halogen in medical research. In this paper, excitation function formulae for the nuclear reactions of 123I production are introduced. 124Te (p, 2n)123I and 127I (p, 5n)123Xe → 123I nuclear reactions have been studied as a function of the energy of the neutrons. Both two formulae were created using the least squares regression of the experimental cross sections data, which were obtained from the Experimental Nuclear Reaction Data EXFOR Database version of 2023. The proposed formulae were evaluated using two statistical indicators for goodness-of-fit. High agreement was observed between the empirical and experimental results for both nuclear processes.

Muscular Dystrophy (MD) is a group of inherited muscular diseases that are commonly diagnosed with the help of techniques such asmuscle biopsy, clinical presentation, and Muscle Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI). Among these techniques, Muscle MRI recommends the diagnosis ofmuscular dystrophy through identification of the patterns that exist in musclefatty replacement. But the patterns overlap among various diseases whereasthere is a lack of knowledge prevalent with regards to disease-specific ***, artificial intelligence techniques can be used in the diagnosis ofmuscular dystrophies, which enables us to analyze, learn, and predict forthe future. In this scenario, the current research article presents an automated muscular dystrophy detection and classification model using synergicDeep Learning (sDL) method with extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost),called sDL-XGBoost. sDL-XGBoost model has been proposed to act as anautomated deep learning (DL) model that examines the muscle MRI dataand diagnose muscular dystrophies. sDL-XGBoost model employs Kapur’sentropy based Region of Interest (RoI) for detection purposes. Besides, sDLbased feature extraction process is applied to derive a useful set of featurevectors. Finally, XGBoost model is employed as a classification approach todetermine proper class labels for muscle MRI data. The researcher conductedextensive set of simulations to showcase the superior performance of sDLXGBoost model. The obtained experimental values highlighted the supremacyof sDL-XGBoost model over other methods in terms of high accuracy being96.18% and 94.25% classification performance upon DMD and BMD respectively. Therefore, sDL-XGBoost model can help physicians in the diagnosis of muscular dystrophies by identifying the patterns of muscle fatty replacementin muscle MRI.

This paper proposes the combined Laplace-Adomian decomposition method (LADM) for solution two dimensional linear mixed integral equations of type Volterra-Fredholm with Hilbert kernel. Comparison of the obtained results with those obtained by the Toeplitz matrix method (TMM) demonstrates that the proposed technique is powerful and simple.

synthetic color is added to foods to replace natural color lost during processing. It is causes health problems mainly in children that considered Avery venerable group. This study was carried out investigate the effect of using color foods (Color fruit juice for 6 - 12 hr. Tomato ketchup potato chips (TKPC) color sweet and color chocolate at low (15%) and high (30%)) concentration on serum biochemical, WBC (white blood cell)and histopathology of liver and kidney of rats for 13 week. The results indicated that no significant change in body weight gain, serum glucose, HDL and LDL cholesterol. TKPC (30%) showed that significant increase in total cholesterol (TC), triacylglycerol (TG). Low and high concentration of color chocolate and color sweet was exhibited significant increase of TG. The level of ALT and AsT was significant increase of rat’s administration color fruit juice (for 12 hr.) and TKPC at 30%. High concentration of color foods and long time administration of color fruit juice showed significant increase in serum creatinine and albumin compared to control group. Both low and high consumed of color foods exhibited significant decrease in liver GsH. High concentration of color foods lead to increase number of WBC as the result to the response of the immune system to the inflammation. Color foods were reveled change in histological structure of liver and kidney. In conclusion, the use synthetic color in various foods has adverse effect on some of biochemical analysis;and the liver and kidney histopathological structure.
