This article focuses on the relationship between mathematical morphology operations and rough sets,mainly based on the context of image retrieval and the basic image correspondence *** morphological procedures and set approximations in rough set theory have some clear *** initiatives have been made to connect rough sets with mathematical *** significant publications have been written in this *** attempt to show a direct connection between mathematical morphology and rough sets through relations,a pair of dual operations,and neighborhood *** sets are used to suggest a strategy to approximatemathematicalmorphology within the general paradigm of soft computing.A single framework is defined using a different technique that incorporates the key ideas of both rough sets and mathematical *** paper examines rough set theory from the viewpoint of mathematical morphology to derive rough forms of themorphological structures of dilation,erosion,opening,and *** newly defined structures are applied to develop algorithm for the differential analysis of chest X-ray images from a COVID-19 patient with acute pneumonia and a health *** algorithm and rough morphological operations show promise for the delineation of lung occlusion in COVID-19 patients from chest *** foundations of mathematical morphology are covered in this *** that,rough set theory ideas are taken into account,and their connections are ***,a suggested image retrieval application of the concepts from these two fields is provided.

Objective:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the fifth most common malignancy *** identification of new simple,inexpensive and highly accurate markers for HCC diagnosis and screening is *** case-control study evaluates the role of annexin A2 and voltage-gated calcium channelsα2δ1 subunit as serum biomarkers for HCC ***:The study comprised three groups:group 1,50 patients with an initial diagnosis of HCC associated with chronic hepatitis C virus infection;group 2,25 patients diagnosed with chronic hepatitis C virus infection and cirrhosis without any evidence of HCC;and group 3,15 healthy *** participants were subjected to clinical and laboratory investigations,and radiological *** serum levels of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP),annexin A2,and theα2δ1 subunit were evaluated by using ELISA ***:The serum levels of annexin A2 significantly increased in patients with HCC(10.4±2.5 ng/m L;P<0.001)or with cirrhosis(9.31±1.8 ng/m L;P<0.001)comparing to that of healthy controls(0.296±0.09 ng/m L).However,there was no significant difference in serum annexin A2 levels in patients with HCC comparing to those with ***α2δ1 subunit significantly increased in patients with HCC(20.12±3.7 ng/m L)comparing to that in patients with cirrhosis(10.41±3.4 ng/m L,P<0.001)and healthy controls(10.2±2.9 ng/m L,P<0.001).Conclusions:The serumα2δ1 subunit may function as a new biomarker for HCC ***,serum annexin A2 has low diagnostic value as an HCC marker,especially in patients with underlying cirrhosis.

AIM： To determine age norms in the first three years of life for grating visual acuity and contrast sensitivity obtained with Lea grating test and Hiding Heidi low contrast face test. METHODS： Lea grating test was used to estimate binocular grating acuity and Hiding Heidi low contrast face test was used to estimate contrast sensitivity in 600 healthy infants and children. Age ranged from 3 to 36 mo subdivided into 12 groups subjected for full ophthalmologic and pediatric ***： The grating acuity developed along the first three years of life. It ranged from 1.88±0.32 c/d at 3mo to 30.95±0.77 c/d at 36 mo. The most rapid development was during the first 12 mo and the slowest development was from 30 to 36 mo. The contrast sensitivity showed rapid development in the first two years of life. Its mean value ranged from 4.23±1.17 at 3mo to 78.26±8.21 at 24 mo. It was constant at the highest score（80） ***： Age norms for grating acuity along with contrast sensitivity offer a more comprehensive measure of spatial vision and should be incorporated in clinical practice for better visual assessment in preverbal and nonverbal children.

Background: Histidine-rich glycoprotein (HRG), a multifunctional plasma protein, has a regulatory role in homeostasis, angiogenesis, and immunity;which in turn could greatly affect tumor control and metastasis. Objectives: To assess the possible role of HRG in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) tumorgenesis and follow-up. Design and Methods: HRG was quantitatively measured in serum by ELISA and its expression was assessed by real-time PCR (qPCR) in 35 patients with ALL and compared to same 25 ALL patients after induction therapy and 30 age and sex matched healthy control subjects. Results: HRG-serum protein (at cutoff value 63.55 pg/ml) and HRG-RNA (at cut-off value 0.955) were positive in all ALL patients before therapy, but in only 76% after therapy for HRG-protein and 60% for HRG-RNA and they could not be detected in the control group;P < 0.001. Additionally, the serum HRG level showed a significant positive correlation with its expression level, bone marrow blast percentage, peripheral blood blast count, P < 0.01. Also its serum and expression levels were positively related to the poor risk Philadelphia chromosome;P < 0.01. Conclusions: HRG (protein and RNA) might be considered as a novel diagnostic and prognostic marker in ALL. HRG-serum protein level, detected by simple methodology of ELISA, has more significant advantages than its expression level, motivating its application in large clinical studies as a potential marker.

Na_(0.5)(Bi_(3/4)RE_(1/4))_(0.5)TiO_(3)(RENBT,RE=Nd,Gd,Dy,and Ho)compounds were investigated in the framework of first-principles calculations using the full potential linearized augmented plane wave(FP-LAPW)method based on the spin-polarized density functional theory implemented in the WIEN2k *** charge density distribution and Ti K-edge X-ray absorption spectra reveal that the RENBT compositions with high polarization values are accompanied by a higher TiO_(6)distortion,DyNBT,and NdNBT *** effect of the rare-earth elements on the polarization is confirmed experimentally with the collection of the hysteresis *** investigation of the electronic properties of the compounds highlights the emergence of a magnetization owing to the 4f orbital effect of the rare-earth ***,the investigation of the chemical ordering shows a short-range chemical ordering for the pure composition and an increased A-site disorder for dysprosium doped NBT *** increased disorder may speak for increased relaxor properties in the RE doped compositions.

The global burden of hepatitis B virus(HBV)and hepatitis C virus(HCV)infections and coinfection represents a major public health concern,particularly in resource-limited *** of HCV by 2030 has become foreseeable,with effective direct-acting antiviral oral therapies and the availability of affordable generics in low-and-middle-income countries(LMICs).However,access to oral nucleos(t)ide therapy for HBV remains critical and is limited outside the existing global HIV program platforms despite affordable *** of mother-to-child transmission of HBV through scaling up of birth dose implementation in LMICs is essential to achieve the 2030 elimination *** individuals living with HBV and/or HCV in resource-limited settings are unaware of their infection,and with improved access to medications,the most significant barrier remains access to affordable diagnostics and preventive *** coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic interrupted hepatitis elimination programs,albeit offered opportunities for improved diagnostic capacities and raised political awareness of the critical need for strengthening health care services and universal health *** review underpins the HBV and HCV management challenges in resource-limited settings,highlighting the current status and suggested future elimination strategies in some of these *** efforts should continue to improve awareness and political *** resources should be secured to access and implement comprehensive strategies for diagnosis and linkage to care in resource-constrained settings to fulfill the 2030 elimination goal.

With the rapid development of emerging 5G and beyond(B5G),Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)are increasingly important to improve the performance of dense cellular *** a conventional metric,coverage probability has been widely studied in communication systems due to the increasing density of users and complexity of the heterogeneous *** recent years,stochastic geometry has attracted more attention as a mathematical tool for modeling mobile network *** this paper,an analytical approach to the coverage probability analysis of UAV-assisted cellular networks with imperfect beam alignment has been *** assumption was considered that all users are distributed according to Poisson Cluster Process(PCP)around base stations,in particular,Thomas Cluster Process(TCP).Using thismodel,the impact of beam alignment errors on the coverage probabilitywas ***,the ProbabilityDensity Function(PDF)of directional antenna gain between the user and its serving base station was ***,association probability with each tier was achieved.A tractable expression was derived for coverage probability in both Line-of-Sight(LoS)andNon-Line-of-Sight(NLoS)condition *** results demonstrated that at low UAVs altitude,beam alignment errors significantly degrade coverage ***,for a small cluster size,alignment errors do not necessarily affect the coverage performance.

Dammam City is one of the gorgeous coastal areas in the Arabian Gulf of Saudi *** present study aimed to ex-amine one of the copepod species infecting the rosy goatfish that represents a highly consumed fish species by the local population in the Arabian *** copepod species isolated from the infected fish specimens belong to the family Taeniacanthidae and was iden-tified as Irodes parupenei Ho and Lin(2007),primarily based on its morphological,morphometric,and ultrastructural characteris-tics,especially the structures of the dorsal cephalic area,segmentation of the first antenna,the absence of the maxilliped claw in the fe-male specimens,and the setation and spinulation of the legs 2-4 for the adult females are of great significance in the taxonomic *** 18S rRNA gene sequence was analyzed to ensure the precise identity and exact taxonomic status of the copepod *** result showed that this copepod species belong to Taenicanthidae and closely related to Irodes sauridi(gb|JF781550.1)in the same *** details on the specificity of the goatfish for Irodes species and identifying these parasitic taxa using molecular analysis are given in the present study.
