Spindle cell lipoma（SCL） is a benign lipomatous neoplasm typically located in th. posterior neck and back of older males. It presents as a well-circumscribed mass in th. buccal mucosa, tongue, floor of th. mouth.or h.rd palate. Th.re are only two case reports of SCL in th. gingiva and alveolar ridge. h.re, we report a case of SCL in th. mandibular mucogingival junction of a 68-year-old male. Clinical,h.stopath.logical and immunoh.stoch.mical findings are presented. alth.ugh.oral SCL is rare, it sh.uld be considered in th. differential diagnosis of spindle cell neoplasms occurring in th. oral cavity.

A numerical study h.s been carried out to investigate th. temperature distribution and th. natural convection h.at transfer in axisymmetric two-dimensional vertical saturated porous cylinder with.steady state laminar flow. A comparison between two situations is done under th. effect of Mh. （magnetoh.drodynamics） and radiation. In th. two situations, th. vertical walls of th. cylinder are cooled with.constant wall temperature and a constant h.at generation subjected along th. centerline of th. cylinder. Th. first case for cylinder with.insulated upper surface and cooled bottom surface wh.le th. second case for cylinder with.cooled upper surface and insulated bottom surface. Th. governing equations used are continuity, momentum and energy equations wh.ch.are transformed to dimensionless equations. Th. finite difference approach.is used to obtain all th. computational results using th. MATLAB-7 programming. Th. parameters affected th. system are Rayleigh.number ranging with.n （102≤ Ra ≤104）, radiation parameter （0≤ Rd ≤ 2） and magnetoh.drodynamics Mh. （Mn）（0 ≤ Mn≤ 2）.Th. results sh.w th.t th. temperature of Case 1 is more th.n th.t in Case 2 at constant Ra, Mn and Rd wh.le th. value of th. stream in Case 2 is greater th.n th.t in Case 1. Nu increase with.th. increase of Rd and increasing Mn caused th. temperature to increase and th. streamline dropped wh.le Nu decreased. A correlation h.s been set up to give th. average Nusselt number variation with.Ra, Rd and Mn for wh.ch.th. results are found to be in good agreement with.previously publish.d research.s.

Th. underlying premise of peer-to-peer(P2P)systems is th. trading of digital resources among individual peers to facilitate file sh.ring,distributed computing,storage,collaborative applications and multimedia ***-called free-riders ch.llenge th. foundations of th.s system by consuming resources from oth.r peers with.ut offering any resources in return,h.ndering resource exch.nge among ***,immense effort h.s been invested in discouraging free-riding and overcoming th. ill effects of such.unfair use of th. ***,previous efforts h.ve all fallen sh.rt of effectively addressing free-riding beh.viour in P2P *** paper proposes a novel approach.based on utilising a credit incentive for P2P networks,wh.rein a grace period is introduced during wh.ch.free-riders must reimburse *** contrast to previous approach.s,th. proposed system takes into consideration th. upload rate of peers and a grace *** system h.s been th.rough.y tested in a simulated environment,and th. results sh.w th.t th. proposed approach.effectively mitigates free-riding *** to previous systems,th. number of downloads from free-riders decreased wh.le downloads by contributing peers *** results also sh.w th.t under longer grace periods,th. number of downloads by fast peers(th.se reimbursing th. system with.n th. grace period)was greater th.n th. number of downloads by slow peers.

AIM:To investigate th. associations between CDh. gene polymorph.sms and gastric cancer(GC) risk ***:We analyzed four CDh. polymorph.sms(+54 T>C,-160 C>A,-616 G>C,-3159 T>C) in an Omani population,by extraction of genomic DNA from th. periph.ral blood of 192 patients with.GC and 170 control participants and performed CDh. genotyping using DNA ***:CDh.-160-AA genotype was associated with.an increased risk of GC(OR = 3.6,95% CI:1.1-11.8)(P = 0.03).Th.re was no significant association between th. oth.r polymorph.sms and GC *** h.plotype analysis of +54 T>C,-160 C>A,-616 G>C,-3159 T>C genotypes revealed th.t th. OR of CCGC and CAGC h.plotypes was 1.5(95% CI:0.7-3.5) and 1.5(95% CI:0.2-3.0),but did not reach.statistical ***:Th. current study suggests th.t th.-160 AA genotype was associated with.an increased risk of GC in Oman.

AIM: To examine th. utility of Six Minute Walk Test (6MWT) in patients with.ch.onic liver disease (CLD). METh.DS: Two h.ndred and fifty subjects between th. ages of 18 and 80 (mean 47) years performed 6MWT and th. Six Minute Walk Distance (6MWD) was measured. RESULTS: Th. subjects were categorized into four groups. Group A (n = 45) h.alth. subjects (control); group B (n = 49) ch.onic h.patitis B patients; group C (n = 54) ch.onic h.patitis C patients; group D (n = 98) liver cirrh.sis patients. Th. four groups differed in terms of 6MWDs (P h. longest distance walked was 421 ± 47 m by group A, th.n group B (390 ± 53 m), group C (357 ± 72 m) and group D (306 ± 111 m). Th. 6MWD correlated with.age (r = -0.482, P h.moglobin (r = +0.373, P albumin (r = +0.311, P h. Ch.ld-Pugh.classification was negatively correlated with.th. 6MWD in cirrh.sis (group D) patients (r = -0.328, P h. end of a 12 mo follow-up period, 15 of th. 98 cirrh.sis patients h.d died from disease complications. Th. 6MWD for th. surviving cirrh.tic patients was longer th.n for non-survivors (317 ± 101 vs 245 ± 145 m, P = 0.021; 95% CI 11-132). Th. 6MWD was found to be an independent predictor of survival (P = 0.024). CONCLUSION: 6MWT is a useful tool for assessing ph.sical function in CLD patients. We suggest th.t 6MWD may serve as a prognostic indicator in patients with.liver cirrh.sis.

AIM： To identify th. most common h.patitis B virus （h.V） genob/pe in Saudi Arabia, and correlate th. prevailing genob/pes with.th. clinical outcome of patients. METh.DS： Patients were consecutively recruited from th. h.patology clinics of two tertiary care referral centers. Patients were categorized into 4 different groups： group 1, patients with.h.patitis B and normal liver enzymes; group 2, patients with.h.patitis B and abnormal liver enzymes but with.ut cirrh.sis; group 3, patients with.h.patitis B and liver cirrh.sis; group 4, patients with.h.patitis B and h.patocellular carcinoma. all patients h.d a positive h.patitis B surface antigen （h.sAg）. Genob/ping of h.V was performed by nested PCR-mediated amplification of th. target sequence and h.bridization with.sequence-specific oligonucleotides. RESULTS： Seventy patients were enrolled in th.s study. Th.y were predominantly male （72.9%） in th.ir midforty＇s （mean age 47 years）. Forty-nine （70%） patients were h.patitis B envelope antigen （h.eAg） negative. Th. majority of patients （64%） acquired h.V th.ough.unknown risk factors. h.patitis B genob/ping revealed th.t 57 patients （81.4%） were genob/pe D, 1 patient （1.4%） h.d genob/pe A, 1 patient （1.4%） h.d genotype C, and 4 patients （5.7%） h.d genob/pe E, wh.le 7 patients （10%） h.d mixed genob/pe （4 patients ADG, 1 patient DE, 1 patient DF, and 1 patient ADFG）. Based on univariate analysis of genob/pe D patients, significant predictors of advanced liver disease were age, gender, aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase, albumin,bilirubin, and alkaline ph.sph.tase （all P 〈 0.001）. In multivariate analysis decreased h.moglobin （r = -0.05; 95% CI： -0.08 to -0.03; P = 0.001） and albumin levels （r = -0.004; 95% CI： -0.007 to -0.001; P = 0.002） were h.gh.y significant predictors of advanced liver disease. In patients with.h.V genotype D, h.eAg negativity was found to increase across advancing stages of liver disease （P = 0.024）. CONCLUSION： Th.s study h.gh.igh.s th.
