The base promoted three-component reaction of β-enamino imide, malononitrile and various cyclic α-diketones in acetonitrile showed interesting molecular diversity. The reactions with acenaphthylene-1,2-dione and ninhydrin afforded functionalized spiro[indene-2,4＇-pyrrolo[3,4-b]pyridines] and spiro[acenaphthylene-1,4＇-pyrrolo[3,4-b]- pyridines] in good yields. The similar reaction of phenanthrene-9,10-dione resulted in the formation of the unexpected complex phenanthro[9＇, 10＇：4,5]furo[2,3-c]pyrrolo[3,4-b]pyrroles in satisfactory yields.

We study the coherence transfer between two pigments (donor and acceptor) of a dimer interacting with two independent environments. By means of a prior weak measurement on the donor and a post measurement, which is either a reversal measurement or a weak measurement, on the acceptor, we present a scheme to optimally control the transfer of the donor's coherence to the acceptor. We construct explicit relationships for the two measurement strengths and the evolution time, by which the coherence degree of the acceptor can approach the maximum value 0.5 at the cost of a decreased probability.

Composite electrodes prepared by cation exchange resins and activated carbon(AC)were used to adsorb Ⅴ(Ⅳ)in capacitive deionization(CDI).The electrode made of middle resin size(D860/AC M)had the largest specific surface area and mesoporous content than two other composite *** analysis showed that D860/AC M presents higher specific capacitance and electrical double layer capacitor than the others,and significantly lower internal diffusion ***,D860/AC M exhibits the highest adsorption capacity and rate of Ⅴ(Ⅳ)among three *** intra-particle diffusion model fits well in the initial adsorption stage,while the liquid film diffusion model is more suitable for fitting at the later *** pseudo-second-order kinetic model is suited for the entire adsorption *** adsorption of Ⅴ(Ⅳ)on the composite electrode follows that of the Freundlich *** analysis indicates that the adsorption of Ⅴ(Ⅳ)is an exothermic process with entropy reduction,and the electric field force plays a dominant role in the CDI *** work aims to improve our understanding of the ion adsorption behaviors and mechanisms on the composite electrodes in CDI.

Tidal Turbine Array Optimization Based on the Discrete Particle Swarm Algorithm

In consideration of the resource wasted by unreasonable layout scheme of tidal current turbines, which would influence the ratio of cost and power output, particle swarm optimization algorithm is introduced and improved in the paper. In order to solve the problem of optimal array of tidal turbines, the discrete particle swarm optimization(DPSO) algorithm has been performed by re-defining the updating strategies of particles’ velocity and position. This paper analyzes the optimization problem of micrositing of tidal current turbines by adjusting each turbine’s position,where the maximum value of total electric power is obtained at the maximum speed in the flood tide and ebb ***, the best installed turbine number is generated by maximizing the output energy in the given tidal farm by the Farm/Flux and empirical method. Secondly, considering the wake effect, the reasonable distance between turbines,and the tidal velocities influencing factors in the tidal farm, Jensen wake model and elliptic distribution model are selected for the turbines’ total generating capacity calculation at the maximum speed in the flood tide and ebb ***, the total generating capacity, regarded as objective function, is calculated in the final simulation, thus the DPSO could guide the individuals to the feasible area and optimal position. The results have been concluded that the optimization algorithm, which increased 6.19% more recourse output than experience method, can be thought as a good tool for engineering design of tidal energy demonstration.

Efficient P3HT：PC61BM Solar Cells Employing 1,2,4-Trichlorobenzene as the Processing Additives

The efficiency of the poly（3-hexylthiophene）（P3HT） and [6,6]-phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester （PC61BM） based organic solar cells was enhanced by using 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene （TCB） as a processing additive to control the blend morphology. The addition of TCB improved the arrangement of P3HT which resulted in good phase separated blend films. Correspondingly, the optimized solar cells showed a power conversion efficiency （PCE） of 4.17% with a fill factor （FF） of 0.69, which were higher than those of common thermal annealing devices （PCE 3.84%, FF 0.67）. The efficiency was further improved to 4.74% by thermal annealing at 150 ℃for 10 min with a higher FF of 0.74.

V0405 Dra is a W UMa-type binary *** on the TESS data,we have conducted an orbital period study and performed a light curve analysis for the *** orbital period study reveals that the O-C curve for V0405 Dra exhibits secular decrease at an extremely high rate of d P/dt=-2.71×10^(-6)day year^(-1),along with periodic variations characterized by an amplitude of A_(3)=0.0032 day and a period of P_(3)=1.413 *** orbital periodic change is possibly due to the light-travel time effect resulting from an additional third body in the system,for which we estimate a minimum mass of M_(3)=0.77M_(⊙).By employing the 2013 version of the Wilson-Devinney(W-D)method to synthesize a light curve,we derived photometric solutions indicating that V0405 Dra is a new deep(f=68.7%)and low-mass ratio(q=0.175)contact *** fast decrease in its orbital period is likely caused by mass transfer from the more massive primary star to the less massive secondary star,or due to angular momentum *** further mass transfer and loss of angular momentum,the binary will gradually evolve into a tighter contact configuration,eventually leading to a merger into a single star,following the evolutionary paths suggested for such deep and low mass ratio contact binaries.

In this study, 14 wheat cultivars with contrasting yield and N use efficiency （NUE） were used to investigate the agronomic and NUE-related traits, and the N assimilation-associated enzyme activities under low and high N conditions. Under deficient-N, the cultivars with high N uptake efficiency （UpE） and high N utilization efficiency （UtE） exhibited higher plant biomass, yields, and N contents than those with medium and low NUEs. The high UpE cultivars accumulated more N than other NUE type cultivars. Under sufficient-N, the tested cultivars showed similar patterns in biomass, yield, and N content to those under deficient-N, but the varietal variations in above traits were smaller. In addition, the high UpE cultivars displayed much more of root biomass and larger of root length, surface area, and volume than other NUE type cultivars, indicating that the root morphological traits under N deprivation are closely associated with the plant biomass through its improvement of the N acquisition. The high UtE cultivars showed higher activities of nitrate reductase （NR）, nitrite reductase （NIR）, and gluta- mine synthetase （GS） at stages of seediling, heading and filling than other NUE type cultivars under both low and high N conditions. Moreover, the high UpE and UtE cultivars also displayed higher photosynthetic rate under deficient-N than the medium and low NUE cultivars. Together, our results indicated that the tested wheat cultivars possess dramatically genetic variations in biomass, yield, and NUE. The root morphological traits and the N assimilation enzymatic acitivities play critical roles in regulating N accumulation and internal N translocation under the N-starvation stress, respectively. They can be used as morphological and biochemical references for evaluation of UpE and UtE in wheat.
