Fish in nature exhibit a variety of swimming modes such as forward swimming,backward swimming,turning,pitching,etc.,enabling them to swim in complex scenes such as coral *** is still difficult for a robotic fish to swim autonomously in a confined area as a real ***,we develop an untethered robotic manta as an experimental platform,which consists of two flexible pectoral fins and a tail fin,with three infrared sensors installed on the front,left,and right sides of the head to sense the surrounding *** generate multiple swimming modes of the robotic manta and online switching of different modes,we design a closed-loop Central Pattern Generator(CPG)controller based on distance information and use a combination of phase difference and amplitude of the CPG model to achieve stable and rapid adjustment of yaw *** verify the autonomous swimming ability of the robotic manta in complex scenes,we design an experimental scenario with a concave *** experimental results show that the robotic manta can achieve forward swimming,backward swimming,in situ turning within the concave obstacle,and finally exit from the area safely while relying on the perception of external obstacles,which can provide insight into the autonomous exploration of complex scenes by the biomimetic robotic ***,the swimming ability of the robotic manta is verified by field tests.

In perovskite EuTiO_(3),the magnetic characteristics and magnetocaloric effect(MCE) can be flexibly regulated by converting the magnetism from antiferromagnetic to *** the present work,a series of Eu(Ti,Nb,Mn)O_(3) compounds,abbreviated as ETNmo for convenience of description,was fabricated and their crystallography,magnetism together with cryogenic magnetocaloric effects were systematically *** crystallographic results demonstrate the cubic perovskite structure for all the compounds,with the space group of *** magnetic phase transitions are observed in these second-order phase transition(SOPT) *** joint substitution of elements Mn and Nb can considerably manipulate the magnetic phase transition process and magnetocaloric performance of the ETNmo *** the Mn content increases,gradually widened-ΔS_(M)-T curves are obtained,and two peaks with a broad shoulder are observed in the-ΔS_(M)-T curves for Δμ_(0)H≤0-1 *** a field change of 0-5 T,the values of maximum magnetic entropy change(-ΔS_(M)^(max)) and refrigeration capacity(RC) are evaluated to be 34.7 J/(kg·K) and 364.9 J/kg for EuTi_(0.8625)Nb_(0.0625)Mn_(0.075)O_(3), 27.8 J/(kg·K) and367.6 J/kg for EuTi_(0.8375)Nb_(0.0625)Mn_(0.1)O_(3),23.2 J/(kg·K) and 369.2 J/kg for EuTi_(0.8125)Nb_(0.0625)Mn_(0.125)O_(3),17.1 J/(kg·K) and 357.6 J/kg for EuTi_(0.7875)Nb_(0.0625)Mn_(0.15)O_(3),*** co nsiderable MCE parameters make the ETNmo compounds potential candidates for cryogenic magnetic refrigeration.

Developing accurate and sensitive DNA methyltransferase(MTase) analysis methods is essential for early clinical diagnosis and development of antimicrobial drug targets. In this work, by coupling WO_(3-x) dotsencapsulated metal-organic frameworks(moFs) as co-reactants and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase(Td T)-mediated template-free branched polymerization, a dual signal-amplified electrochemiluminescent(ECL) biosensor was constructed to detect DNA adenine methylation(Dam) MTase. The employment of WO_(3-x) dots-encapsulated moFs(i.e., NH_(2)-UIO66@WO_(3-x) ) was not only beneficial for biomolecule conjugation because of the abundant amino groups but also led to a 7-fold enhanced ECL response due to the increased loading of WO_(3-x). moreover, Td T-mediated template-free branched polymerization promoted the capture of ECL emitters on the electrode surface, achieving 20-fold enhanced signal amplification. The presented ECL biosensor demonstrated a low detection limit of 2.4 × 10^(-4)U/m L, and displayed high reliability for the detection of Dam MTase in both spiked human serum and E. coli cell samples, and for the screening of potential inhibitors. This study opens a new avenue for designing a dual signal amplificationbased ECL bioassay for Dam MTase and screening inhibitors in the fields of clinical diagnosis and drug development.

The pore structure of spherical alumina supports is closely related to the dispersion of catalytically active components and the diffusion of *** excellent pore structure under strict reaction conditions is of utmost *** this work,sphericalγ-Al_(2)O_(3)support with a bimodal pore structure,composed of macropores and mesopores,was successfully synthesized using dodecane as the pore-forming agent through the oil–ammonia column-shaping *** morphology and internal pore structure of the alumina were found to be influenced by the amount of surfactant added and ultrasound treatment ***,when concentration of surfactant was 4‰and ultrasound voltage of 20 V was applied,the resultingγ-Al_(2)O_(3)-4‰-20 displayed a highly concentrated distribution of macropores with an average pore size of 100 nm,resulting in an impressive porosity of 69.21%.In contrast,the untreated sample ofγ-Al_(2)O_(3)-0-0 only exhibited a mesoporous distribution with a porosity of 54.03%.moreover,after being subjected to a hydrothermal treatment in a high temperature(600°C)and high humidity(water vapor)environment for 120 h,theγ-Al_(2)O_(3)-4‰-20 sample maintained a high BET specific surface area of 170.9 m^(2)g^(−1)and mercury intrusion porosimetry specific surface area of 263.3 m^(2)g^(−1).

The biological activity of plant polysaccharides can be enhanced by sulfated *** this study,the immunomodulatory effect of sulfated Cyclocarya paliurus polysaccharides(SCP3)on macrophages RAW264.7 and its potential molecular mechanism were *** showed that SCP3 at 25-100μg/m L increased viability and improved phagocytosis of RAW264.7 ***,SCP3 could activate mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathways,which increased the phosphorylation of Erk1/2,JNK,p38 and NF-κB p65,promoting secretion of cytokines tumor necrosis factorα(TNF-α),interleukin 6(IL-6)and nitric oxide(NO)as well as the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS).In addition,Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)receptor inhibitors were able to block the production of NO and TNF-αby SCP3-stimulated *** on Western blot analysis and validation using specific inhibitors against MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways,the results demonstrated that SCP3 induced macrophages activation and enhanced TNF-αand NO production via TLR4-mediated MAPK and NF-κB *** summary,SCP3 has significant immunomodulatory *** underlying molecular mechanism was that SCP3 activates macrophages via TLR4 receptors to promote ROS production,which in turn activates the downstream MAPK/NF-κB signaling pathway and then increases the secretion levels of cytokines and NO.

von Hippel-Lindau(VHL)disease is a rare autosomal dominant multiorgan disease characterized by several benign and malignant tumors rich in vascular,as well as cysts in other organs.A great clinical treatment strategy is significantly warranted for good prognosis of patients with VHL ***,we reported a case of a 45-year-old woman diagnosed with VHL disease with spinal hemangioblastoma(HB)and clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC).Four years after the resection of the right kidney,a recurrent RCC in the right kidney and a malignant lesion in the left kidney were *** patient was started on sorafenib(800 mg,daily)and tislelizumab(200 mg per 3 weeks).After 6 months of treatment,the size of renal cell carcinoma was dramatically reduced and renal function *** importantly,she achieved partial response during the whole ***,intramedullary masses resection was done and the HB in T4-5 thoracic spinal was *** symptoms such as numbness and pain were remarkably ***,tislelizumab-induced elevation in liver transaminase levels and hypothyroidism were revered by hepatoprotector and levothyroxine,*** short,comprehensive treatment strategies may benefit patients with VHL disease,especially with HB and ccRCC.

BACKGROUND Immature ovarian teratoma is a rare and aggressive neoplasm that affects young *** report is the first to describe the development of immature teratoma after ovarian cystectomy for mature teratoma of the ovary in an adolescent female with a family history of ovarian *** SUMMARY A 16-year-old girl who had undergone bilateral ovarian cystectomy for mature teratomas 3 years ago showed bilateral adnexal tumors during her regular ultrasonography follow-up every 6 *** received laparoscopic bilateral ovarian cystectomy,and final histopathology showed grade-1 immature teratoma of the left ovary and mature teratoma of the right *** left salpingo-oophorectomy and staging procedures were performed *** mother,maternal aunt,and maternal grandmother had also received surgeries for mature ovarian *** It is important to have guidance on management of patient and family members with familial ovarian teratomas.

To the Editor:Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is a global public health challenge without effective treatment currently available,affecting>300 million individuals *** understanding the pathogenesis of this disease is ***,ferroptosis,a form of cell death driven by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation,has been associated with the pathogenesis of COPD.[1]Multiple signaling pathways,such as glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4),ferroptosis suppressor protein 1(FSP1),and tetrahydrobiopterin-dependent pathways,as well as iron metabolism,are involved in regulating ferroptosis[2,3][Figure 1A].Here,we provide a comprehensive overview of recent advances in understanding the role of ferroptosis in COPD,highlighting potential therapeutic strategies targeting ferroptosis for treating the disease.

The drill and blast(D&B)method is widely used to excavate underground spaces,but explosions generally cause damage to the ***,no blast simulation method can provide computational accuracy and *** this paper,a blast equivalent simulation method called the blast damage zone strength reduction(BDZSR)method is *** method first calculates the range of the blast-induced damage zone(BDZ)by formulae,then reduces the strength and deformation parameters of the rock within the BDZ ahead of excavation,and finally calculates the excavation damage zone(EDZ)for the D&B method by numerical *** method combines stress wave attenuation,rock damage criteria and stress path variation to derive the BDZ depth calculation *** formulae consider the initial geo-stress,and the reliability is verified by numerical *** calculation of BDZ depth with these formulae allows the corresponding numerical simulation to avoid the time-consuming dynamic calculation process,thus greatly enhancing the calculation *** method was applied to the excavation in Jinping Class II hydropower station to verify its *** results show that the BDZSR method can be applied to blast simulation of underground caverns and provide a new way to study blast-induced damage.
