The underlying physics of QCD phase transition in the early Universe remains largely unknown due to its strong-coupling nature during the quark-gluon plasma/hadron gas transition, yet a holographic model has been proposed to quantitatively fit the lattice QCD data while with its duration of the first-order phase transition(FoPT) left undetermined. At specific baryon chemical potential, the first-order QCD phase transition agrees with the observational constraint of baryon asymmetry. It, therefore, provides a scenario for phase transition gravitational waves(GWs) within the standard model of particle physics. If these background GWs could contribute dominantly to the recently claimed common-spectrum red noise from pulsar timing array(PTA) observations, the duration of this FoPT can be well constrained, and the associated primordial black holes are still allowed by current observations.

The study by Yang et al presents a comprehensive investigation into the thera-peutic potential of curcumin for gastric cancer(GC).Using network pharma-cology,the researchers identified 48 curcumin-related genes,31 of which overlap with GC *** genes,including ESR1,EGFR,CYP3A4,MAPK14,CYP1A2,and CYP2B6,are linked to poor survival in GC *** docking con-firmed strong binding affinity of curcumin to these *** vitro experiments demonstrated that curcumin effectively inhibits the growth and proliferation of BGC-823,suggesting its therapeutic potential in GC through multiple targets and pathways.

A recent case report provided a patient scenario,wherein,a 39-year-old male patient presented with occasional palpitations,headache,and *** of tumor markers did not show any abnormal ***,a computed tomography(CT)scan was undertaken,and its findings were affirmative of thymic ***,the postoperative histopathological assessment of the mass,after its resection,confirmed it as an anterior mediastinal multilocular thymic cyst(MTC),with concurrent acute upper respiratory tract infection and acute ***,this case report advocates the need for a preoperative histopathological examination with CT imaging to minimize the risk of confusing an MTC with a malignant thymic tumor.

BACKGROUND The programmed cell death protein 1 inhibitor pembrolizumab has become a key treatment for various cancers,including triple-negative breast ***,it is associated with immune-related adverse events,including rare but serious neurological complications such as Guillain-Barrésyndrome(GBS).GBS is a potentially life-threatening autoimmune disorder characterized by muscle weakness and *** present a unique case of pembrolizumab-induced GBS to highlight the importance of recognizing this complication and managing it promptly in patients receiving immune checkpoint *** SUMMARY A 69-year-old woman with a medical history of hypertension,anxiety,depression,and stage IIIB triple-negative breast cancer treated with pembrolizumab,carboplatin,and paclitaxel,presented to the emergency department with a 1-month history of tingling,lower extremity weakness,and shooting *** progressed to global weakness,ascending paralysis,and double *** examination revealed significant lower extremity weakness and sensory *** resonance imaging of the lumbar spine and cerebrospinal fluid analysis confirmed *** treatment with intravenous immunoglobulin led to relapse,requiring additional intravenous immunoglobulin and high-dose *** patient’s condition improved,pembrolizumab therapy was permanently discontinued,and she was discharged to a rehabilitation *** Pembrolizumab can induce GBS,necessitating early recognition,prompt diagnosis,and multidisciplinary management to prevent serious complications.

Silk damping is well known in the study of cosmic microwave background（CMB） and accounts for suppression of the angular power spectrum of CMB on large angular multipoles. In this article, we study the effect of Silk damping on the scalar-induced gravitational waves（SIGWs）. Resulting from the dissipation of cosmic fluid, the Silk damping notably suppresses the energydensity spectrum of SIGWs on scales comparable to a diffusion scale at the decoupling time of weakly-interacting particles. The effect offers a novel observable for probing the underlying particle interaction, especially for those mediated by heavy gauge bosons beyond the standard model of particles. We anticipate that pulsar timing arrays are sensitive to gauge bosons with mass ～10～3-10～4 GeV, while space-and ground-based interferometers to those with mass ～10～7-1012GeV, leading to essential complements to on-going and future experiments of high-energy physics.

Objective:To evaluate the anti-inflammatory potential of peptide/polypeptide fraction of Aloe vera through in vitro and in vivo ***:The peptide/polypeptide fraction from Aloe vera was obtained through trichloroacetic acid *** anti-inflammatory property of the peptide/polypeptide fraction was tested by protein denaturation,membrane stabilization *** effect of the fraction on RAW 264.7 cell viability was examined by MTT *** nitric oxide level was determined through Griess ***-αand IL-6 levels were estimated using ELISA *** vivo studies were carried out in male Wistar rats through injection of Freund’s adjuvant in the hind *** edema was measured through the Vernier scale and levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate transaminase,TNF-α,IL-6,and secretory phospholipase A2 were estimated through their respective kits after fourteen days of *** Pad Prism6 was used for analyzing the ***:The peptide/polypeptide extract inhibited protein denaturation with an IC50 value of(218.9±15.6)μg/m L and stabilized the membrane of red blood cells with an IC50 value of(275.9±19.1)μg/m *** extract showed no changes in cell morphology or cytotoxicity up to the concentration of 20μg/mL in MTT *** peptide/polypeptide fraction markedly reduced the levels of proinflammatory markers and mediators in both in vitro and in vivo ***:The results indicate that the peptide/polypeptide fraction of Aloe vera has antiinflammatory property through inhibition of inflammatory markers and mediators responsible for NF-κB and mitogen-activated protein kinase pathways.

Joint Label-Specific Features and Correlation Information for Multi-Label Learning

Multi-label learning deals with the problem where each instance is associated with a set of class *** multilabel learning,different labels may have their own inherent characteristics for distinguishing each other,and the correlation information has shown promising strength in improving multi-label *** this study,we propose a novel multilabel learning method by simultaneously taking into account both the learning of label-specific features and the correlation information during the learning ***,we learn a sparse weight parameter vector for each label based on the linear regression model,and the label-specific features can be extracted according to the corresponding weight ***,we constrain label correlations directly on the output of labels,not on the corresponding parameter vectors which conflicts with the label-specific feature ***,for any two related labels,their corresponding models should have similar outputs rather than similar parameter ***,we also exploit the sample correlations through sparse *** experimental results on 12 benchmark datasets show that the proposed method performs better than the existing *** proposed method ranks in the 1st place at 66.7%case and achieves optimal average rank in terms of all evaluation measures.

Rapid socioeconomic development has caused numerous environmental *** production and consumption activities are the underlying drivers of resource uses,environmental emissions,and associated environmental impacts(e.g.,ecosystem quality and human health).Reducing environmental impacts requires an understanding of the complex interactions between socioeconomic system and environmental *** studies have explored the relationships among human society,economic system,and environmental ***,it is unclear about the research progress in the effects of socioeconomic activities on environmental impacts and the potential directions of future *** critical review finds that existing studies have identified critical regions,sectors,and transmission pathways for resource uses,environmental emissions,and environmental impacts from supply chain ***,scholars have characterized the impacts of socioeconomic transitions on resource uses and environmental ***,existing studies overlook the dynamic nature of the interconnections among human society,economic system,and environmental *** addition,the effects of socioeconomic structural transitions on environmental impacts remain *** review proposes four prospects and possible solutions that will contribute to a better understanding of the complex interactions among human society,economic system,and environmental *** can help identify more effective solutions to reduce environmental impacts through socioeconomic transitions.

Effects of Risk Perception on Disaster Preparedness Toward Typhoons:An Application of the Extended Theory of Planned Behavior

This study adopted an extended theory of planned behavior to understand how risk perception affected disaster preparedness *** intercept survey(N=286)was conducted at a typhoon-prone district of Hong Kong,China in 2019,then the data were analyzed using structural equation *** results indicated that risk perception and intention of preparedness were predictors of disaster preparedness *** perception significantly affected intention of preparedness and the effect was partially mediated by subjective *** perception also significantly affected attitude and perceived behavioral control,but attitude and perceived behavioral control were not significantly correlated with intention of *** only may this study supplement the existing literature of disaster preparedness toward typhoons,but also it provides insights for the planning and management of natural hazards and disaster risk reduction in Hong Kong,China.
