Economic losses and market constraints caused by bacterial diseases such as colibacillosis due to avian pathogenic Escherichia coli and necrotic enteritis due to Clostridium perfringens remain major problems for poultry producers,despite substantial efforts in prevention and *** have been used not only for the treatment and prevention of such diseases,but also for growth ***,these practices have been linked to the selection and spread of antimicrobial resistant bacteria which constitute a significant global threat to humans,ani-mals,and the *** break down the antimicrobial resistance(AMR),poultry producers are restricting the antimicrobial use(AMU)while adopting the antibiotic-free(ABF)and organic production practices to satisfy consum-ers’***,it is not well understood how ABF and organic poultry production practices influence AMR profiles in the poultry gut *** Gram-negative(salmonella enterica serovars,Campylobacter jejuni/coli,***)and Gram-positive(Enterococcus spp.,staphylococcus *** ***)bacteria harboring multiple AMR determinants have been reported in poultry including organically-and ABF-raised *** this review,we discussed major poultry production systems(conventional,ABF and organic)and their impacts on AMR in some potential pathogenic Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria which could allow identifying issues and opportuni-ties to develop efficient and safe production practices in controlling pathogens.

Introduction: Lumbar and sciatic pain are frequent motives of disability in military people in Mali. As spine surgery isn’t recognized enough, our study aims to analyze etiologies, epidemiology, clinical features and surgical standards in order to improve troop abilities. Methodology: Our descriptive and retrospective study has included 31 operated military patients who underwent medical or surgical procedures between 2010 and 2018 in the Military Neurology/Neurosurgery Unit and Mèrespan>-Enfant Hospital Neurosurgery department. Results: Among 553 seen in consultation, fifty percent were between 30 and 50 years old. Main motive was sciatic pain (65.5%). Seventy eight percent of our patients were field militaires and sub-officers, and 83.2% were males. All of them have benefited a CT scan or MRI with medical treatment in rheumatology or neurology. Thirty-one patients underwent spine surgery and were included in the study, so 6% (mean age: 43.52 years, 90.3% males). Lumbar spine surgery represented 54.8% of cases with lumbar canal stenosis in 64.5% of cases. It appeared that spondylolisthésis with isthmic fracture was frequent (12.9%), and traumatic cervical spine fractures were dominant in 2012. Instrumented arthrodesis was performed for 41.9% of patients, lumbar discectomy for 32.3% and laminectomies for 22.6%. Degenerative etiology was found in 77.4% of cases and we’ve noticed a good outcome in 93.5% of operated cases. Ritscher-schinzel syndrome, or 3C (cranio-cerebello-cardiac) syndrome is a developmental disorder characterized by cranio-facial, cerebellar and cardiac anomalies. It is a rare disease with an incidence of 1/1,000,000 inhabitants, and was first described by Ritscher-schinzel in 1987. 3C syndrome is an autosomal recessive disease caused by a mutation on the long arm of chromosome 8 to 8q24.13, the KIAA0196 locus, the strumpellin protein gene. The cardiac and cerebral anomalies are most often leading cause of death at an early age and people with 3C syndrome rarely exceed 40 years. In this paper, we report a case of Ritscher-schinzel in 3-month-old boy who was admitted to our neurosurgical department in september 2020. Clinical examination revealed a macrocrania with head circumference at 47 cm. There was a prominence of forehead and occiput, the root of the nose which was flat, hypertelorism and micrognatism. The CT scan revealed Dandy WALKER malformation with cystic dilation of the 4th ventricle, an aplasia of the cerebellar vermis associated with a tretraventricular hydrocephalus.

Introduction: Pathologies of the lower urinary tract are common in urology composed of various conditions, responsible for urinary disorders. Despite the new methods, exploration in Africa is mainly based on retrograde urethrocystography (UCR). The main objective was to determine the importance of UCR in the diagnosis of pathologies of the lower urinary tract. Materials and Methods: This was a retrospective and descriptive study covering a period of 5 years (July 2016-June 2021). It involved all patients admitted to the ward for retrograde urethrocystography during the period. A remote-controlled table of the GE PREsTILIX 1600× type was used for the examinations. Results: At the end of our study we collected 100 cases of pathologies of the lower urinary tract out of a total of 112 RCUs performed or 89.28%. Pathologies of the lower urinary tract accounted for 78% of the UCRs in the department. The age group of (61 - 70) was the most affected with extremes from 1 year to 101 years. Non-specific urination disorders were the most common indications (43%), followed by acute urine retention (18%). Acquired urethral pathology was the most common (89%), followed by bladder neck disease 5% and posterior urethral valve with 4%, Bladder struggle was the most common associated sign (54%) with post-urination residue in 97% of patients. Conclusion: Pathologies of the lower urinary tract are relatively common in our region, dominated by urethral narrowings. Retrograde urethrocystography remains the reference examination in our control for the diagnosis of obstructive pathologies of the lower urinary tract while specifying the seat of the obstacle.

strong>Objectivestrong>: In light of numerous obstetric evacuations to the Point G University Hospital and taking into account the practice of cesarean section for many years in the service, it seemed necessary to us to make our contribution to the study of cesarean section by putting emphasis on maternal and perinatal prognosis in the Obstetric Gynecology Department of the Point G university hospitalspan>span>. span>span>Method and materialsspan>span>: We conducted a retrospective cross-sectional study in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of the Point G University Hospital, from January 01, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The Point G University Hospital is a 3rd level center of reference in the field of obstetrics in Mali. There is no neonatal ward. The study included all women who gave birth in the gynecology and obstetrics department during the study period. All prophylactic and emergency Caesarean section records during the period in which management took place in the ward were included. The records of patients who had a prophylactic or emergency cesarean section in other health facilities and non-usable records were not included. Data were collected using a pre-established survey form. The variables analyzed were socio-epidemiological, clinical and prognostic. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS software version 16.00. strong>Objective:strong> To describe the screening for uterine cancer by visual methods. Method: We conducted a prospective and descriptive study over a period of 12 months from January to December 2020. Direct observation of providers and interview of patients were performed for data collection. Results: Out of 3400 patientsspan>, 1024 were enrolled for the study, or 30.11%. The average age of the patients was 41 years with the extremes of 17 to 87 years. Women aged 40 to 45 were the most represented with 58.78%, (n = 602). Housewives 85.83% (n = 879), they had a primary education level in 71.09% of cases (n = 728), the vast majority were married 92.28% (n = 945). Multiparous represented 58.78% (n = 602) of the sample, nulliparous 18.26% (n = 187), women living in rural areas 30.17% (n = 309), in urban areas 69.82% (n = 715). The test was positive in 43 patients (4.19%) but squamocylindrical junction was not visible in 17% of cases. Right Testicle Ectopy Associated with Left Renal Agenesis

Testicular ectopia is a rare genital malformation belonging to the spectrum of testicular migration abnormalities. Renal agenesis can be unilateral or bilateral, isolated or associated with other malformations (1/4 of renal agenesis is accompanied by genital malformations, and more often affects the left kidney. Few cases are reported in the literature. We report a case in a 28-year-old patient with ectopia of the right testicle in the suprapubic position associated with agenesis of the left kidney, and surgical management consisted of an orchiectomy, with good surgical results.

Introduction: Microbiology of effusion fluids in children in Burkina Faso is characterized by the scarcity of data. This work aimed to study the bacteriological and antibiotics susceptibility profile of bacteria involved in effusion fluid infections in paediatrics in order to improve the choice of probabilistic antibiotics therapy. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive study was used in children aged 0 to 15 years from 2017 to 2020 at the Charles De Gaulle Pediatric University Hospital Center (CHUP-CDG) in Ouagadougou. Classical bacteriology methods such as macroscopy, Gram staining, identification galleries and antibiotics susceptibility testing were used. Results: Of 231 samples, 64 bacteria were isolated. The most common bacterial strains of pleural fluid were staphylococcus aureus (25%) and 40% for Enterobacteriaceae. Of the peritoneal fluid, 77% were Enterobacteriaceae with 57% Escherichia coli;and from joint fluid, 33% were s. aureus and 22% for P. aeruginosa. The overall susceptibility profile showed 29% extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (EsBL), 10% methicillin-resistant s. aureus (MRsA), and 8% carbapenemases. Conclusion: Bacteriological profile is characterized by EsBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae and MRsA. The most active antibiotics were macrolides, aminoglycosides, and cefoxitin (methicillin) for Gram-positive cocci, carbapenems, and aminoglycosides for Gram-negative bacilli. Then, the monitoring of antibiotics resistance must be permanent.

strong>Introduction:strong> Bladder cancer is a new tissue formation most often of urothelial origin with potential for local, locoregional and distant invasion. Among its risk factors, urinary bilharzia is endemic in our study area. The aim of our study was to present the epidemiological, clinical and histopathological aspects of bladder cancer in our department. strong>Patients and method:strong> This was a descriptive cross-sectional study over a 12-month period from January 1 to December 31, 2019. The study took place in the urology department of the university hospital Point “G”. It included all patients hospitalized for bladder cancer. The epidemiological, clinical and histopathological characteristics have been sought and described. strong>Results:strong> A total of 74 patients were included in the study. Bladder cancer was the leading cause of cancer, accounting for 57.9% of all urological cancers. The mean age of the patients was 52.8 ± 16.25 years. A slight male predominance was observed with a sex-ratio of 1.2. Housewives were the most represented with 43.2% followed by farmers with 24.3%. Hematuria was the reason for consultation in 87.8% cases. The main risk factors found were urinary schistosomiasis (48.6%) and smoking (31.1%). These two factors were associated in 23.0% of cases. At diagnosis, 85.7% of patients were classified as T3 or T4 stage. squamous cell carcinoma with 58.2% was the most common histological type followed by urothelial carcinoma in 26.0% of cases. strong>Conclusion:strong> Bladder cancer is very common of cancer in hospitalized patients in our department. Diagnosis is more often made at an advanced stage. The most common histological type is squamous cell carcinoma.
