Organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs)have gained considerable attention because of their use of inherently flexible materials and their compatibility with facile roll-to-roll and printing *** addition to high efficiency,flexibility and transparency,reliable color tunability of solid state light sources is a desirable feature in the lighting and display ***,we demonstrate a device concept for highly efficient organic light-emitting devices whose emission color can be easily adjusted from deep-blue through cold-white and warm-white to saturated *** approach exploits the different polarities of the positive and negative half-cycles of an alternating current(Ac)driving signal to independently address a fluorescent blue emission unit and a phosphorescent yellow emission unit which are vertically stacked on top of each *** electrode design is optimized for simple fabrication and driving and allows for two-terminal operation by a single *** presented concept for color-tunable OLEDs is compatible with application requirements and versatile in terms of emitter combinations.

How can Practitioners Support citizen Volunteers in Disaster Risk Reduction? Insight from “Good and Ready” in Aotearoa New Zealand

Global and national policy frameworks emphasize the importance of people's participation and volunteers' role in disaster risk reduction. While research has extensively focused on volunteers in disaster response and recovery, less attention has been paid on how organizations involved in disaster risk management can support volunteers in leading and coordinating communitybased disaster risk reduction. In 2019, the New Zealand Red cross piloted the Good and Ready initiative in Auckland,Aotearoa New Zealand, with the objective to empower local people in resilience building with a focus on volunteers and community participation. This research examined the positive and negative outcomes of Good and Ready and investigated volunteers' experiences in the disaster resilience initiative. It involved the codesign of a questionnaire-based survey using participatory methods with Good and Ready volunteers, the dissemination of the survey to gather volunteers' viewpoints, and a focus group discussion with participatory activities with Red cross volunteers. The findings highlight that a key challenge lies in finding a balance between a program that provides flexibility to address contextual issues and fosters communities' ownership, versus a prescriptive and standardized approach that leaves little room for creativity and self-initiative. It pinpoints that supporting volunteers with technical training is critical but that soft skills training such as coordinating, communicating,or facilitating activities at the local level are needed. It concludes that the sustainability of Good and Ready requires understanding and meeting volunteers' motivations and expectations and that enhancing partnerships with local emergency management agencies would strengthen the program.

The objective of this study was to offer a review of previous works on Tinospora cordifolia(Tc) metabolomics with a highlight on the use of metabolomics in comparative evaluations between varieties and selection of optimum cultivation, collection, and extraction procedures, providing insights into pharmaceutical and food product quality monitoring. Scholarly databases were searched to gather relevant information on Tc's therapeutic usefulness, phytoconstituent studies, metabolomics, and applications. Pub chem was used to learn the structures of several of the metabolites. The various medicinal properties of Tc were extensively researched. The most essential portions of the plant in Ayurvedic medicines are the stems. Bioactive phytochemicals such as steroidal lactones, alkaloids, diterpenoids, and phenolic compounds are present in the roots and leaves. Metabolomic analysis revealed that, in addition to the season and geographical region of the sample collected, the metabolite profiles of Tc also depend on the parts of the plant taken as a sample and also the plant's stage of growth. The amounts of secondary metabolites differed between morpho/chemotypes within the Tc species. Despite the fact that research on Tc began several decades ago, the diversity of phytoconstituents was not appreciated because of a lack of reliable techniques for phytochemical fingerprinting. The uncovering of several novel metabolites was aided by advances in chromatography combined with mass spectrometry. To produce a full metabolomic profile, researchers used mutually complementary techniques. Following that, data analysis and searches against spectrum databases allowed for signal annotation and interpretation of metabolites in large quantities without separating them separately. The current review includes a critical assessment of metabolomic data and an overview of the technique's various applications. The purpose of this study is to determine the teacher’s perceptions of the challenges and strategies in supporting students with reading *** study used qualitative method of research and descriptive approach as its research design,in addition to a set of structured interview questions administered through Google Forms to gather data from elementary teachers of Taal central School,located at Taal *** structured interview questions were carefully designed to cover various dimensions of the study,including the types of challenges perceived by teachers,strategies employed,and possible solutions for addressing the problems encountered in the process of supporting students with reading *** results revealed that teachers faced several challenges when teaching students with reading difficulties such as emotional and motivational issues/factors,lack of resources or teaching aids,deficits in knowledge and skills,and problems with student engagement and *** study also showed common approaches utilized by the teachers in supporting students with reading difficulties,which were fostering a positive and supportive environment,adopting individualized and multifaceted approaches,and utilizing effective teaching tools and ***,teachers also concluded varied solutions in addressing the challenges perceived in teaching students with reading difficulties towards fostering reading *** include developing peer support,use of positive reinforcement,and parental ***,specialized resources,professional development for teachers,and specific teaching strategies are also highlighted as crucial *** integrating these approaches,teachers concluded that it can create a supportive and effective learning environment tailored to the needs of students with reading difficulties.

Humidity has been considered as one of the main influencing factors that determine the conduction processes and electric strength of gas-insulated *** in the past,various studies focused on the change in the partial discharge inception voltages,breakdown strength of homogeneous and inhomogeneous field arrangements,and insulator flashover voltage,recent studies have investigated the changes in ion currents measured through different gas *** the framework of this contribution,a highly precise humidity control circuit has been developed to analyse the significance of humidity in the range from−25 to−5°c frost-point,which is fully applicable to operating gas-insulated *** sulphur hexafluoride(SF6)as the insulation gas at 0.45 MPa,Al2O3-filled epoxy resin insulators,and technically rough electrodes,the humidity was found to significantly influence the intensity of microdischarges at *** generation from microdischarges at the interfaces substantially increased with increasing *** an electric field of 5 kV/mm that were applicable to the dimensioning of gas-insulated devices,humidity strongly influences the charge provision from technically rough interfaces and potentially contributes to the surface-charge accumulation at insulator *** the other hand,for low-field conduction phenomena,no increase in the ion currents from natural ionisation or electrophoretic conduction was *** the investigated range of parameters,humidity is expected to be highly relevant for the design of gas-insulated devices.

Thermal profile modification of an active material in a laser amplifier via optical pumping results in a change in the material’s refractive index,and causes thermal expansion and stress,eventually leading to spatial phase aberrations,or even permanent material *** this purpose,knowledge of the 3D spatio-temporal thermal profile,which can currently only be retrieved via numerical simulations,is critical for joule-class laser amplifiers to reveal potentially dangerous thermal features within the pumped active *** this investigation,a detailed,spatio-temporal numerical simulation was constructed and tested for accuracy against surface thermal measurements of various endpumped Yb^3+-doped laser-active *** measurements and simulations show an excellent agreement and the model was successfully applied to a joule-class Yb3+-based amplifier currently operating in the POLARIS laser system at the Friedrich-Schiller-University and Helmholtz-Institute Jena in Germany.

AIM To identify predictive factors associated with long-term patient and graft survival(> 15 years) in liver transplant *** Medical charts of all de novo adult liver transplant recipients(n = 140) who were transplanted in Hamburg between 1997 and 1999 were retrospectively *** total,155 transplantations were identified in this time period(15 re-transplantations).Twenty-six orthotopic liver transplant(OLT) recipients were early lost to followup due to moving to other places within 1 year after *** remaining 114 patients were included in the *** following recipient factors were analysed:Age,sex,underlying liver disease,pre-OLT body mass index(BMI),and levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),bilirubin,creatinine and gammaglutamyltransferase(gamma-GT),as well as warm and cold ischemia ***,the following donor factors were assessed:Age,BMI,cold ischemia time and warm ischemia *** surviving patients were followed until December *** divided patients into groups according to their underlying diagnosis:(1) hepatocellularcarcinoma(n = 5,4%);(2) alcohol toxic liver disease(n = 25,22.0%);(3) primary sclerosing cholangitis(n = 6,5%);(4) autoimmune liver diseases(n = 7,6%);(5) hepatitis c virus cirrhosis(n = 15,13%);(6) hepatitis B virus cirrhosis(n = 21,19%);and(7) other(n = 35,31%).The group "other" included rare diagnoses,such as acute liver failure,unknown liver failure,stenosis and thrombosis of the arteria hepatica,polycystic liver disease,Morbus Osler and caroli *** The majority of patients were male(n = 70,61%).Age and BMI at the time point of transplantation ranged from 16 years to 69 years(median:53 years) and from 15 kg/m^2 to 33 kg/m^2(median:24),***-six OLT recipients(58%) experienced a follow-up of 15 years after ***'s age(P = 0.009) and BMI(P = 0.029) were identified as risk factors for death by χ~***-Meier analysis confirmed BMI or age ab
