The process of selecting features or reducing dimensionality can be viewed as a multi-objective minimization problem in which both the number of features and error rate must be *** it is a multi-objective problem,current methods tend to treat feature selection as a single-objective optimization *** paper presents enhanced multi-objective grey wolf optimizer with Lévy flight and mutation phase(LMuMOGWO)for tackling feature selection *** proposed approach integrates two effective operators into the existing Multi-objective Grey Wolf optimizer(MOGWO):a Lévy flight and a mutation *** Lévy flight,a type of random walk with jump size determined by the Lévy distribution,enhances the global search capability of MOGWO,with the objective of maximizing classification accuracy while minimizing the number of selected *** mutation operator is integrated to add more informative features that can assist in enhancing classification *** feature selection is a binary problem,the continuous search space is converted into a binary space using the sigmoid *** evaluate the classification performance of the selected feature subset,the proposed approach employs a wrapper-based Artificial Neural Network(ANN).The effectiveness of the LMuMOGWO is validated on 12 conventional UCI benchmark datasets and compared with two existing variants of MOGWO,bMOGWO-S(based sigmoid),bMOGWO-V(based tanh)as well as Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II(NSGA-II)and Multi-objective Particle Swarm Optimization(bMOPSO).The results demonstrate that the proposed LMuMOGWO approach is capable of successfully evolving and improving a set of randomly generated solutions for a given optimization ***,the proposed approach outperforms existing approaches in most cases in terms of classification error rate,feature reduction,and computational cost.

Modularly assembled multiplex prime editors for simultaneous editing of agronomically important genes in rice

Prime editing(PE)technology enables precise alterations in the genetic code of a genome of *** offers great potential for identifying major agronomically important genes in plants and editing them into superior variants,ideally targeting multiple loci simultaneously to realize the collective effects of the ***,we report the development of a modular assembly-based multiplex PE system in rice and demon-strate its efficacy in editing up to four genes in a single transformation *** duplex PE(DPE)system achieved a co-editing efficiency of 46.1%in the T0 generation,converting TFIIAg5 to xa5 and xa23 to *** resulting double-mutant lines exhibited robust broad-spectrum resistance against multiple Xanthomonas oryzae pathovar oryzae(Xoo)strains in the T1 *** addition,we success-fully edited OsEPSPS1 to an herbicide-tolerant variant and OsSWEET11a to a Xoo-resistant allele,achieving a co-editing rate of 57.14%.Furthermore,with the quadruple PE(QPE)system,we edited four genes—two for herbicide tolerance(OsEPSPS1 and OsALS1)and two for Xoo resistance(TFIIAg5 and OsSWEET11a)—using one construct,with a co-editing efficiency of 43.5%for all four genes in the T0 *** performed multiplex PE usingfive more constructs,including two for triplex PE(TPE)and three for QPE,each targeting a different set of *** editing rates were dependent on the activity of pegRNA and/or *** instance,optimization of ngRNA increased the PE rates for one of the targets(OsSPL13)from 0%to 30%but did not improve editing at another target(OsGS2).Overall,our modular assembly-based system yielded high PE rates and streamlined the cloning of PE reagents,making it feasible for more labs to utilize PE for their editing *** have significant implications for advancing gene editing techniques in plants and may pave the way for future agricultural applications.

Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CbZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CbZ-control),Group III(VE-control),Group IV(CbZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group VI(levothyroxine+CbZ-treated),Group VII(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group VIII(levothyroxine+CbZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of Medicine,Suez Canal University(Ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione(GSH),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT;all Pbcl-2-associated X protein(bAX),b-cell lymphoma 2 protein(bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa b(NF-κb)mRNA levels(all PbZ alone(Group VI)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group VIII showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CbZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully.

Analytical fits to the synchrotron functions

Accurate fitting formulae to the synchrotron function, F（x）, and its com- plementary function, G（x）, are performed and presented. The corresponding relative errors are less than 0.26% and 0.035% for F（x） and G（x）, respectively. To this end we have, first, fitted the modified bessel functions, Ks/3（x） and K2/3（x）. For all the fitted functions, the general fit expression is the same, and is based on the well known asymptotic forms for low and large values of z for each function. It consists of multi- plying each asymptotic form by a function that tends to unity or zero for low and large values of z. Simple formulae are suggested in this paper, depending on adjustable parameters. The latter have been determined by adopting the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. The proposed formulae should be of great utility and simplicity for com- puting spectral powers and the degree of polarization for synchrotron radiation, both for laboratory and astrophysical applications.

Value of carcinoembryonic antigen and cytokeratins for the detection of recurrent disease following curative resection of colorectal cancer

AIM： To evaluate the efficacy of postoperative serial assay of carcinoembryonic antigen （CEA） and cytokeratins for the detection of recurrent disease in patients with colorectal adenocarcinoma after radical surgery. METHODS： between 1993 and 2000, 120 patients with colorectal adenocarcinoma underwent radical surgery in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, Federal University of Sao Paulo-Escola Paulista de Medicina, Sao Paulo, brazil. Periodic postoperative evaluation was performed by assaying markers in peripheral serum, colonoscopy and imaging examination. Presence of CEA was detected using the Delfia^R method with 5 μg/L threshold, and cytokeratins using the LIA-mat TPA-M Prolifigen^R method with 72 U/L threshold. RESULTS： In the first postoperative year, patients without recurrent disease had normal levels of CEA （1.5 ＋ 0.9μg/L） and monoclonal tissue polypeptide antigen-M （TPA-M, 64.4 ± 47.8 U/L）, while patients with recurrences had high levels of CEA （6.9± 9.8 ;μg/L, P 〈 0.01） and TPA-M （192.2 ±328.8 U/L, P 〈 0.05）. During the second postoperative year, patients without tumor recurrence had normal levels of CEA （2.0 ± 1.8μg/L） and TPA-M （50.8±38.4 U/L）, while patients with recurrence had high levels of CEA （66.3 ±130.8 μg/L, P 〈 0.01） and TPA-M （442.7 ± 652.8 U/L, P 〈 0.05）. The mean follow-up time was 22.3 mo. There was recurrence in 23 cases. Five reoperations were performed without achieving radical excision. Rises in tumor marker levels preceded identification of recurrences： CEA in seven （30%） and TPA-M in eleven individuals （48%）. CONCLUSION： Intensive follow-up by serial assay of CEA and cytokeratins allows early detection of colorectal neoplasm recurrence.

With the help of network densification,network coverage as well as the throughput can be improved via ultra-dense networks(UDNs).In tandem,Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)communications have recently garnered much attention because of their high agility as well as widespread *** this paper,a cognitive UAV is proposed for wireless nodes power pertaining to the IoT ground ***,the UAV is included in the IoT system as the source of power for the wireless nodes as well as for resource *** quality of service(QoS)related to the cognitive node was considered as a utility function based on pricing scheme that was modelled as a non-cooperative game theory in order to maximise users’net utility ***,an energy efficiency non-cooperative game theory power allocation with pricing scheme(EE-NGPAP)is proposed to obtain an efficient power control within IoT wireless ***,uniqueness and existence of the Nash equilibrium have been demonstrated mathematically and through *** results show that the proposed energy harvest algorithm demonstrated considerable decrease in transmitted power consumption in terms of average power reduction,which is regarded to be apt with the 5Gnetworks’***,the proposed algorithm requires around 4 iterations only to converge to NE which makes the algorithm more suitable in practical heterogeneous scenarios.

为了探明不同有机肥等比例替代化肥下土壤有机氮各组分积累特征,依托长期施肥定位试验,以不施氮肥(CK)和施用化肥氮(NPK)为对照,检测分析了猪粪(PM)、商品有机肥(OM)和早稻紫云英+晚稻水稻秸秆(RMS)替代20%化肥氮处理下土壤有机氮组分含量及其占全氮的比例。结果表明:全氮和有机氮组分含量在NPK和CK处理之间差异不明显;与NPK处理相比,有机肥替代化肥各处理的土壤全氮含量提高了5.2%~8.5%,尤其是PM处理;且3种有机肥替代化肥的酸解氨基酸氮、酸解铵态氮和酸解氨基糖氮的含量分别显著提高了11.0%~18.8%、10.8%~18.5%和16.7%~31.1%,其占全氮比例分别提高了4.4%~11.1%、2.1%~12.6%和7.5%~24.5%,增加了土壤速效氮含量,尤其是RMS处理;其原因可能是有机肥替代化肥不同程度地增加了微生物生物量碳氮,增强了氮转化相关酶活性,促进了难分解有机氮组分向易分解有机氮组分的转化。综上,有机肥等比例替代化肥均能有效提高土壤氮素积累和供应,其中猪粪更有利于氮素积累,秸秆更有利于增强氮素供应潜力。

Releases of phosphate fertilizer industry in the surrounding environment:Investigation on heavy metals and polonium-210 in soil

Distribution of Cu, Zn, Pb, Cr, Ni, Mn concentrations and the activity of polonium-210 in the surrounding area of a phosphate fertilizer industry located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea has been determined. Nineteen sampling sites were distributed around the industrial zone on a surface area of about 100,000 m^2. Atomic absorption spectroscopy and Alpha spectroscopy were used to quantify the heavy elements and polonium-210, respectively. Investigation on a particle scale was conducted by TEM and SEM coupled to EDX and X-ray cartography to determine the nature of heavy elements carriers and their distribution. Heavy elements were mainly concentrated inside the particle size fraction 〈 50 μm. Their levels decreased with distance increasing from the industry. According to the reference soil, enrichment factors were about 10, 15, 32 and 100 times for Zn, Pb, Cu, and Cr, respectively inside the particle size fraction 〈 50 μm on the closest sites to the industry. The main contaminant sources were transport and storage of row materials and the free release of phosphogypsum waste. Heavy elements were entrapped inside agglomerates of sulfates, phosphates and iron oxihydroxides in a diffused shape. Polonium-210 with an enrichment factor of about 56, showed the same behavior of the spatial distribution of the trace elements.
