New Hybrid EWMA Charts for Efficient Process Dispersion Monitoring with Application in Automobile Industry

The EWMAcharts are thewell-knownmemory-type charts used formonitoring the small-to-intermediate shifts in the process parameters(location and/or dispersion).The hybrid EWMA(HEWMA)charts are enhanced version of the EWMA charts,which effectivelymonitor the process *** paper aims to develop two new uppersided HEWMAcharts for monitoring shifts in process variance,i.e.,HEWMA1 and HEWMA2 *** design structures of the proposed HEWMA1 and HEWMA2 charts are based on the concept of integrating the features of two ***1 and HEWMA2charts plotting statistics are developed using one EWMAstatistic as input for the other *** Carlo simulations method is used as a computational technique to determine the numerical results for the performance characteristics,such as average run length(ARL),median run length,and standard deviation run length(SDRL)for assessing the performance of the proposed HEWMA1 and HEWMA2 *** addition,to evaluate the overall performance of the proposed HEWMA1 and HEWMA2 charts,other numerical measures consisting of the extra quadratic loss(EQL),relative average run length(RARL),and performance comparison index(PCI)are also *** proposed HEWMA1 and HEWMA2 charts are compared to some existing charts,such as CH,CEWMA,HEWMA,AEWMAHHW1,HHW2,AIB-EWMA-I,and AIB-EWMA-II charts,on the basis aforementioned numerical *** comparison reveals that the proposed HEWMA1 and HEWMA2 charts achieve better detection ability against the existing *** the end,a real-life data application is also provided to enhance the implementation of the proposed HEWMA1 and HEWMA2 charts practically.

AFM characterization of surface mechanical and electrical properties of some common rocks

The characterization of micro-surface mechanical and electrical properties of the natural rock materials remains inadequate,and their macroscopic performance can be better comprehended by investigating the surface *** this purpose,the present research focuses on characterizing the microsurface morphology,Derjaguin-Muller-Toporov(DMT)modulus,adhesion,and potential of granite,shale,and limestone by employing the atomic force microscope(AFM)as a pioneer *** results show that the micro-surface morphology of the rock fluctuates within hundreds of nanometers,among which the granite micro-surface is comparatively the smoothest,followed by *** morphology of the shale is the roughest,indicating that the regional difference of shale micro-surface is *** distribution of the adhesion on rock micro-surface is uneven;the average adhesion of eight measuring areas for shale is 23.93 n N,accounting for three times of granite and limestone,while the surface DMT modulus of shale is relatively lower than granite and *** is inferred from the obtained results that higher surface adhesion is helpful to the gas adsorption of shale,and the lower surface DMT(elastic)modulus is useful to the formation of fractures and ***,these two are the micromechanical basis of shale gas ***,introducing a method to reduce the surface adhesion will benefit the exploration of unconventional resources such as shale *** micro-surface of the three types of rocks all shows electricity,with average potential ranging from tens of millivolts to hundreds of ***,the micro-surface potential of the rocks are heterogeneous,and both positive and negative points can be *** existence and uneven distribution of micro-surface potential provide a robust physical basis for the electromagnetic radiation generated by rock fracture under *** study offers a new method for revealing the adsorption characteristics of unconven

Neutral Delay Differential Equation(NDDE)is a differential problem that has regularly existed in numerous occurrences and has represented a significant role in dealing with real-life phenomena,especially on their application in biological and physiological processes.A fifth-order two-point hybrid implicit multistep block method(2PIH5)has been formulated in this research for the numerical solution of Neutral Delay Differential Equation(NDDE).A Taylor series interpolation polynomial has been implemented in the formulation of the proposed *** order,consistency,and zero-stability for 2PIH5 have been *** analyses of convergence and stability test have been performed and *** initial value problems for the first-order NDDE with constant or proportional delay have been solved using the proposed block *** numerical results for the proposed method have been presented to prove the adaptability and applicability of the proposed method in solving *** proposed method is proved to be comparable with the other existing *** is assumed to be reliable and efficient for solving the first-order NDDE with constant or proportional delay.

Owing to the 4.0 industrial revolution condition monitoring maintenance is widely accepted as a useful approach to avoiding plant disturbances and ***,Motor Current Signature Analysis(MCSA)is widely reported as a condition monitoring technique in the detection and identification of individual andmultiple Induction Motor(IM)***,checking the fault detection and classification with deep learning models and its comparison among them selves or conventional approaches is rarely reported in the ***,in this work,wepresent the detection and identification of induction motor faults with MCSA and three Deep Learning(DL)models namely MLP,LSTM,and ***,we have developed the model of Squirrel Cage induction motor in MATLAB and simulated it for single phasing and stator winding faults(SWF)using Fast Fourier Transform(FFT),Short Time Fourier Transform(STFT),and Continuous Wavelet Transform(CWT)to detect and identify the healthy and unhealthy conditions with phase to ground,single phasing and in multiple fault conditions using Motor Current Signature *** faults impact on stator current is presented in the time and frequency domain(i.e.,power spectrum).The simulation results show that the scalogram has shown good results in time-frequency analysis for fault and showing its impact on the energy of current during individual fault and multiple fault *** is further investigated with three deep learning models(i.e.,MLP,LSTM,and 1D-CNN)for checking the fault detection and identification(i.e.,classification)improvement in a three-phase induction *** simulating the three-phase induction motor in various healthy and unhealthy conditions in MATLAB,we have collected current signature data in the time domain,labeled them accordingly and created the 50 thousand samples dataset for DL *** the DL models are trained and validated with a suitable number of architecture *** simulation,the multiclass confusion

Biometric-based authentication systems have attracted more attention than traditional authentication techniques such as passwords in the last two *** biometrics such as fingerprint,palm,iris,palm vein and finger vein and other biometrics have been *** of the challenges in biometrics is physical *** of finger vein is of the biometrics least exposed to physical *** methods have been proposed for authentication with the help of this biometric that suffer from weaknesses such as high computational complexity and low identification *** paper presents a novel method of scattering wavelet-based identity *** wavelet extracts image features from Gabor wavelet filters in a structure similar to convolutional neural *** distinguishes this algorithm from other popular feature extraction methods such as deep learning methods,filter-based methods,statistical methods,etc.,is that this algorithm has very high skill and accuracy in differentiating similar images but belongs to different classes,even when the image is subject to serious damage such as noise,angle changes or pixel location,this descriptor still generates feature vectors in away thatminimizes classifier *** improves classification and *** proposed method has been evaluated using two databases Finger Vein USM(FV-USM)and Homologous Multimodal biometrics Traits(SDUMLA-HMT).In addition to having reasonable computational complexity,it has recorded excellent identification rates in noise,rotation,and transmission *** best,it has a 98.2%identification rate for the SDUMLA-HMT database and a 96.1%identification rate for the FV-USM database.

Quercetin modulates ovarian autophagy-related molecules and stereological parameters in a rat model of PCOS

Objective:To examine the effect of quercetin on stereological parameters and autophagy-related genes in ovaries of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)***:Fifty female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups:the control group,the ethanol group,the quercetin group(15 mg/kg/day),the PCOS group,as well as the PCOS+quercetin *** the induction of PCOS,quercetin was administered orally for 30 ***,stereological and real-time PCR analyses were carried out to evaluate the effect of quercetin on PCOS ***:Stereological analysis revealed that quercetin significantly increased the number of ovarian follicles and the volume of corpus luteum and induced a significant decrease in atretic follicles in comparison to the PCOS *** addition,quercetin markedly increased mTOR gene expression while decreasing Beclin-1 and LC3 gene ***:Quercetin strongly modulates the expression of ovarian autophagy-related genes and stereological parameters in PCOS ***,it can be considered as an ameliorative component for ovarian follicular impairments.

Preparation of adsorptive nanoporous membrane using powder activated carbon: Isotherm and thermodynamic studies

Adsorptive polyethesulfone(PES)membranes were prepared by intercalation of powder activated carbon(PAC)with and without ***,PAC was aminated with 1,5-diamino-2-methylpentane,and the physicochemical properties of the functionalized PAC were *** of PAC within the PES scaffold changed the porosity and mean pore size of the aminated membrane(AC-NH2)from 52.6%to 92.5%and from 22.6 nm to 3.5 nm,*** effect of temperature on the performance of the modified mem-branes was monitored by the flux and chemical oxygen demand(COD)removal of *** ambient tempera-ture,the COD removal of the neat,AC-containing,and AC-NH2 membranes was 47%,52%,and 58.5%,respec-tively.A similar increment was obtained for the membrane flux,which was due to the synergistic effect of the high porosity and large number of hydrophilic functional *** experimental leachate adsorption data were analyzed by Langmuir,Freundlich,and Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherm *** all membranes,the significant thermodynamic parameters(ΔH,ΔS,and ΔG)were calculated and *** isosteric heat of adsorption was lower than 80 kJ·mol^-1,indicating that the interaction between the membranes and the leachate is mainly physical,involving weak van der Waals forces.

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the *** removal remains the preferred frontline treatment;however,effective non-surgical interventions remain a high priority.5-fluorouracil(5-FU)is a widely used chemotherapy agent,and molecular hydrogen(H2)has been recognized for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects,with research also suggesting its potential anti-tumor ***,H2 dissolved in water[hydrogen-rich water(HRW)],with or without 5-FU,may present itself as a novel therapeutic for *** To investigate the effects of HRW,with or without 5-FU,as a novel therapeutic for *** CRC was induced in the left flank of inbred Balb/c mice.A total of 24 mice bearing tumors were randomly divided into four groups(n=6 per group)and treated as follows:(1)Control group;(2)5-FU group that received intraperitoneal injection of 5-FU(5 mg/kg)every other day;(3)H2 group that received HRW,created and delivered via dissolving the H2-generating tablet in the animals’drinking water,with 200μL also delivered by oral gavage;and(4)The combination group,H2(administered in same way as for group three)combined with 5-FU administered same way as group *** Administration of HRW+5-FU significantly improved tumor weight,tumor size,collagen content and fibrosis as compared to the CRC control ***,HRW attenuated oxidative stress(OS)and potentiated antioxidant activity(AA),whereas 5-FU treatment exacerbated OS and blunted *** combination of HRW+5-FU significantly reduced tumor weight and size,as well as reduced collagen deposition and the degree of fibrosis,while further increasing OS and decreasing AA compared to administration of 5-FU *** Administration of HRW,with or without 5-FU,may serve as a therapeutic for treating CRC.

Seismic vulnerability assessment of urban buildings using the rough set theory and weighted linear combination

Seismic vulnerability assessment of urban buildings is among the most crucial procedures to post-disaster response and recovery of infrastructure *** present study proceeds to estimate the seismic vulnerability of urban buildings and proposes a new framework training on the two ***,a comprehensive interpretation of the effective parameters of this phenomenon including physical and human factors is ***,the Rough Set theory is used to reduce the integration uncertainties,as there are numerous quantitative and qualitative *** objectives were conducted on seven distinct earthquake scenarios with different intensities based on distance from the fault line and the *** proposed method was implemented by measuring seismic vulnerability for the seven specified seismic *** final results indicated that among the entire studied buildings,71.5%were highly vulnerable as concerning the highest earthquake scenario(intensity=7 MM and acceleration calculated based on the epicenter),while in the lowest earthquake scenario(intensity=5 MM),the percentage of vulnerable buildings decreased to approximately 57%.Also,the findings proved that the distance from the fault line rather than the earthquake center(epicenter)has a significant effect on the seismic vulnerability of urban *** model was evaluated by comparing the results with the weighted linear combination(WLC)*** accuracy of the proposed model was substantiated according to evaluation *** assessment based on the distance from the epicenter and its comparison with the distance from the fault shows significant reliable results.

Effects of anti-CD4 antibody treatment on calcium ions influx in peanut-sensitized C3H/HeJ mice

The precise mechanism underlying the effects of anti-CD4 antibody and calcium ions(Ca^(2+)) in peanut allergy remains unknown.C3 H/HeJ mice sensitized with peanut protein extract(PPE)were injected with anti-CD4 antibodies for 4 *** with PPE increased the specific immunoglobulin E(IgE),cytokine,histamine,and mMcp-1 levels,upregulated decorin(Dcn)expression,induced Ca^(2+) inflow in the spleen,and augmented the expression of the transcription factors GATA-3 and Foxp3,which resulted in Th2 and Treg cell ***,the Ca^(2+) levels were positively correlated with the histamine,interleukin(IL)-4,IL-5,and IL-13 levels,and negatively correlated with IL-10 ***,administration of anti-CD4 antibodies markedly alleviated allergic symptoms,activated T cells,and reduced Ca^(2+) inflow,cytokine,histamine,mMcp-1,and the IgHG3,CXCLI2,MMP2 and FABP4 *** results indicated that anti-CD4 antibodies can ameliorate PPE-induced allergy,which is probably related to the suppression of Ca^(2+) inflow,and inhibiting histamine,cytokine and IgHG3,CXCL12,MMP2,and FABP4,thus exerting a protective effect against PPEsensitized food allergy.
