The mafic-ultramafic intrusion in the XV anomaly area,contains magmatic Fe-Ti oxides±(p)ore,is located in the Bafq mining district in the Central *** consists of cumulate and layered Fe-Ti-bearing gabbros and *** mineral assemblages include clinopyroxene,Fe-Ti oxides,plagioclase,amphibole,apatite and sulfides(pyrite and chalcopyrite).The Fe-Ti oxides mainly consist of magnetite-titanomagnetite and ilmenite,which occurred as disseminated,intergrowth,lamellae(trellis and sandwich textures)and *** in the gabbroic rocks is from the near end-member of Fe_(3)O_(4)(<1 wt.%TiO_(2))to titanomagnetite containing up to 8 wt.%TiO_(2)(about3.73 wt.%to 26.84 wt.%Ulvospinel(X_(Usp))).Magnetite in pyroxenite rocks is characterized with TiO_(2)range from 0.46 wt.%to 3.14 wt.%(X_(Usp)varied from 1.76 wt.%to 10.46 wt.%).The abundances of V_(2)O_(3)range from 0.03 wt.%to 1.29 wt.%and 0.24 wt.%to 1.00 wt.%for gabbro and pyroxenite,respectively.X_(Usp)contents of magnetite show insignificant correlations with Al_(2)O_(3)and *** average XIlmin the ilmenite of gabbro is 92%,whereas it is 90.37%in the pyroxenite *** MgO and V_(2)O_(3)contents show a slightly positive correlation with TiO_(2)in *** composition of clinopyroxenes in gabbro and pyroxenite rocks fall in the diopside to augite field with Mg#ranging from 67 to 98 and 74 to 96,*** both rock types,amphiboles are mainly pargasite and rarely *** in pyroxenite rocks is clustered in the labradorite to andesine fields with a compositional ranges of An46-69and in gabboic rocks fall in two fields with compositional ranges of albite with An0.65-5.95and labradorite with ***δ34S isotopic values cover a limited range from+3.15‰to+4.10‰V-CDT consistent with magmatic ***-Ti mineralization is formed in two stages,minor inclusions of Fe-Ti oxide minerals in the pyroxene and plagioclase crystallized in the early magmatic stage,whereas interstitial oxide

The mafic-ultramafic intrusion in the XV anomaly area， which contains magmatic Fe-Ti oxide-（P） ore， is located in the Bafq mining district in the Central Iran. It consists of cumulate and layered Fe-Ti-bearing gabbros and pyroxenites. The mineral assemblages include clinopyroxene， Fe-Ti oxides， plagioclase， amphibole， apatite and sulfides （pyrite and chalcopyrite）. The Fe-Ti oxides mainly consist of magnetite-titanomagnetite and ilmenite， which occur as disseminated， intergrowth， lamellae （trellis and sandwich textures） and inclusions. Magnetite in the gabbroic rocks is from the near end-member of Fe3O4(<1 wt.% TiO2) to titanomagnetite containing up to 8 wt.% TiO2(about 3.73% to 26.84% Ulvospinel (XUsp)). Magnetite in pyroxenite rocks is characterized with TiO2range from 0.46 to 3.14 wt.% (XUspvaried from 1.76% to 10.46%). The abundances of V2O3range from 0.03 to 1.29 and 0.24 to 1.00 wt.% for gabbro and pyroxenite， respectively. XUspcontents of magnetite show insignificant correlations with Al2O3and MgO. The average XIlmin the ilmenite of gabbro is 92%， whereas it is 90.37% in the pyroxenite rocks. The MgO and V2O3contents show a slightly positive correlation with TiO2in ilmenite. Plagioclase in pyroxenite rocks are clustered in the labradorite to andesine fields with a compositional ranges of An46-69and in gabboic rocks fall in two fields with compositional ranges of albite with An0.65-5.95and labradorite with An50-63. The δ34S isotopic values cover a limited range from +3.15‰ to +4.10‰ V-CDT consistent with magmatic origin. In situ and ex situ synthesis of poly（vinyl alcohol）-Fe304 nanocomposite flame retardants

Application of flame retardants is limited because of environmental requirements. This work introduces conventional magnetic nanoparticles as a new class of nontoxic and effective flame retardant. Fe3O4 enhanced both the thermal stability and flame retardant properties of a poly（vinyl alcohol） matrix. Nanoparticles were synthesized via a simple precipitation reaction without using an inert atmosphere at room temperature. The effects of different precursors and acrylamide on the morphology of the products were investigated. Nanoparticles exhibited a ferrimagnetic behavior at room temperature. To prepare the magnetic nanocomposite, Fe3O4 nanoparticles were added to the poly（vinyl alcohol）. In the presence of a flame, the magnetic nanoparticles remained together, showed resistance to dripping and protected the polymer matrix. Dispersed nanoparticles play a role of a magnetic barrier layer, which slows product volatilization and prevents flames and oxygen from reaching the sample during decomposition of the polymer.

Effects of dietary 1 alpha-hydroxycholecalciferol in calcium and phosphorous-deficient diets on growth performance,tibia related indices and immune responses in broiler chickens

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary 1α-hydroxycholecalciferol(1α-OH-D3)in calcium(Ca)-and phosphorous(P)-deficient diets on growth performance, carcass characteristics,tibia related parameters, and immune responses of broiler chickens. A total of 280 one-day-old broiler chickens(Ross 308) were assigned to 20 floor pens and 4 dietary treatments with 5 replicates. Dietary treatments consisted of starter diets(starter diet of treatment A: 1% Ca, 0.73% total phosphorus [tP];starter diet of treatment B: 0.85% Ca.0.64% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;starter diet of treatment C: 0.85%Ca, 0.59% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;starter diet of treatment D: 0.85% Ca, 0.54% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OHD3), grower diets(grower diet of treatment A: 0.86% Ca, 0.68% tP;grower diet of treatment B: 0.73% Ca,0.59% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;grower diet of treatment C: 0.73% Ca, 0.55% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;grower diet of treatment D: 0.73% Ca, 0.50% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3) and finisher diets(finisher diet of treatment A: 0.81% Ca, 0.64% tP;finisher diet of treatment B: 0.68% Ca, 0.56% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;finisher diet of treatment C: 0.68% Ca,0,52% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3;finisher diet of treatment D: 0.68%Ca.0.48% tP + 5 μg/kg of 1α-OH-D3). Results showed that body weight gain(BWG) and feed intake(FI) of broilers in treatment B were similar to those of broilers in treatment A at the end of the trial(P 0.05). Dietary treatments had no significant effect on antibody titers against Newcastle and Influenza disease viruses as well as sheep red blood cells. Gorgan Bay： a microcosm for study on macrobenthos speciesenvironment relationships in the southeastern Caspian Sea

The relationship between spatial patterns of macrobenthos community characteristics and environmental conditions（salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, organic matter content, sand, silt and clay） was investigated throughout the Gorgan Bay in June 2010. Principal components analysis（PCA） based on environmental data separated eastern and western stations. The maximum（4 500 ind./m2） and minimum（411 ind./m2） densities were observed at Stas 1 and 6, respectively. Polychaeta was the major group and Streblospio gynobranchiata was dominant species in the bay. According to Distance Based Linear Models results, macrofaunal total density was correlated with silt percentage and salinity and these two factors explaining 64% of the variability while macrofaunal community structure just correlated with salinity（22% total variation）. In general, western part of the bay showed the highest number of species and biodiversity while, the highest density was found at Sta. 1 and in the middle part of the bay. Furthermore, relationship between diversity indices and macrobenthic species with measured factors is also discussed. Our results confirm the effect of salinity as an important factor on distribution of macrobenthic fauna in south Caspian brackish waters.

A multiscale material model for heterogeneous liquid droplets in solid soft composites

Liquid droplets in solid soft composites have been attracting increasing attention in biological *** contrary with conventional composites,which are made of solid elastic inclusions,available material models for composites including liquid droplets are for highly idealized configurations and do not include all material real *** are also all deterministic and do not address the uncertainties arising from droplet radius,volume fraction,dispersion and *** research revisits the available models for liquid droplets in solid soft composites and presents a multiscale computational material model to determine their elastic moduli,considering nearly all relevant uncertainties and heterogeneities at different length *** effects of surface tension at droplets interface,their volume fraction,size,size polydispersity and agglomeration on elastic modulus,are *** micromechanical material models are incorporated into the presented computational *** results clearly indicate both softening and stiffening effects of liquid droplets and show that the model can precisely predict the effective properties of liquid droplets in solid soft composites.

Assessing the seismic behavior of steel moment frames equipped by elliptical brace through incremental dynamic analysis(IDA)

Incremental dynamic analysis and nonlinear static pushover analysis are carried out on a performance-based design to determine the seismic demands and capacities of an elliptic braced moment resisting frame(ELBRF).The objective is to assess ductility,overstrength and response modification factors in a modern steel-braced structural system based on incremental dynamic *** integrated system is connected to a beam and column with an appropriate length while providing enough architectural space to allow for an opening without having the common problems associated with architectural spaces in braced *** different classes of buildings are considered on soil type *** dynamic analysis,nonlinear static pushover analysis and incremental nonlinear dynamic analysis related to 12 records from past earthquakes are carried out using OpenSees *** factors of ductility,overstrength and response modification are calculated for this *** values of 9.5 and 6.5 are found and suggested only for the response modification factor for ELBRF systems in allowable stress and ultimate limit state methods,*** fragility curves are plotted for the first time for this type of bracing,which contributes to the assessment of building seismic damage.

One-dimensional structure made of periodic slabs of SiO2/InSb offering tunable wide band gap at terahertz frequency range

Optical features of a semiconductor–dielectric photonic crystal are studied theoretically. Alternating layers of micrometer sized SiO2/In Sb slabs are considered as building blocks of the proposed ideal crystal. By inserting additional layers and disrupting the regularity, two more defective crystals are also proposed. Photonic band structure of the ideal crystal and its dependence on the structural parameters are explored at the first step. Transmittance of the defective crystals and its changes with the thicknesses of the layers are studied. After extracting the optimum values for the thicknesses of the unit cells of the crystals, the optical response of the proposed structures at different temperatures and incident angles are investigated. Changes of the defect layers’ induced mode(s) are discussed by taking into consideration of the temperature dependence of the In Sb layer permittivity. The results clearly reflect the high potential of the proposed crystals to be used at high temperature terahertz technology as a promising alternative to their electronic counterparts.

Using the Hg_xMg_(1-x)Te ternary compound as a room temperature photodetector: The electronic structure, charge transport, and response function of the energetic electromagnetic radiation

In the present work, firstly, a first-principles study of the structural, electronic, and electron transport properties of the HgxMg1-xTe（HMT） ternary compound is performed using the ABINIT package and the results are compared with Cd0.9Zn0.1 Te（CZT） as a current room-temperature photodetector. Next, the response functions of Hg0.6Mg0.4Te and Cd0.9Zn0.1Te under electromagnetic irradiation with 0.05 Me V, 0.2 MeV, 0.661 MeV and 1.33 MeV energies are simulated by using the MCNP code. According to these simulations, the Hg0.6Mg0.4Te ternary compound is suggested as a good semiconductor photodetector for use at room temperature.

Line-start permanent magnet synchronous motors versus induction motors： A comparative study

Line-start permanent magnet synchronous motors are suitable candidates for substitution of induction motors in many constant-speed applications. This paper compares steady-state and dynamic performances of these motors. The efficiency, power factor, stator currents, and rotor bars currents are considered for steady-state perfor- mance analysis whereas the rotor speed, electromagnetic torque, and stator and rotor currents are investigated for dynamic performance analysis. For this purpose, time stepping finite element method is used to analyze the performance of motors in both full-load and no-load conditions. Results demonstrate the superior performance of the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor in steady-state condition and the improved dynamic perfor-mance of the induction motor. Finally, economic calcula- tions indicate that the extra cost of the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor with respect to the induction motor is rapidly compensated by energy saving due to a more efficient operation.
