Development of Non-ABO Red Blood Cell Alloantibodies in Patient Undergoing Allogeneic Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant

Alloantibodies that are non ABO Alloimmunization to protein antigens happens only after exposure, in contrast to ABO isohaemagglutinins, which are present naturally, even in the absence of prior exposure. It is recognized that while non-ABO RBC antibodies are less common than ABO antibodies, they generate essentially the same issues that lead to unfavorable clinical results. If non-ABO alloantibodies are identified early on, these issues related complications may be avoided This call for an in-depth understanding of the recipient and donor’s ABO-Rh grouping, antibody screening, and the phenotype of certain antigens. Equally important, the temporal association time between transplantation and hemolysis can help identify the underlying mechanism of hemolysis and direct appropriate management. Therefore, for that, it is crucial to identify the etiology of post-HSCT anemia for prevention and therapy, in addition to a thorough grasp of the mechanism of anemia in non-ABO-incompatible HSCT and the temporal link between HSCT and anemia. Finding the cause of post-HSCT anemia is essential for prevention and therapy, in addition to a thorough grasp of the mechanism of anemia in non-ABO-incompatible HSCT and the temporal link between HSCT and anemia. Therefore, for that, it is crucial to identify the etiology of post-HSCT anemia. In this case report review, we would like to highlight the vital role of transfusion medicine services and stem cell clinical teams in paying particular attention to the clinical significance of non-ABO alloantibodies involved to avoid causing overt hemolysis of incompatible donor RBCs or delayed erythropoiesis. Considering the fact that some of the Haematopoietic stem cell transplant centers do not give an attention to the other non-ABO RBC antigens.

The Internet of Things(IoT)has been deployed in diverse critical sectors with the aim of improving quality of service and facilitating human *** IoT revolution has redefined digital services in different domains by improving efficiency,productivity,and *** service providers have adapted IoT systems or plan to integrate them as integral parts of their systems’operation;however,IoT security issues remain a significant *** minimize the risk of cyberattacks on IoT networks,anomaly detection based on machine learning can be an effective security solution to overcome a wide range of IoT *** various detection techniques have been proposed in the literature,existing detection methods address limited cyberattacks and utilize outdated datasets for *** this paper,we propose an intelligent,effective,and lightweight detection approach to detect several IoT *** proposed model includes a collaborative feature selection method that selects the best distinctive features and eliminates unnecessary features to build an effective and efficient detection *** the detection phase,we also proposed an ensemble of learning techniques to improve classification for predicting several different types of IoT *** experimental results show that our proposed method can effectively and efficiently predict several IoT attacks with a higher accuracy rate of 99.984%,a precision rate of 99.982%,a recall rate of 99.984%,and an F1-score of 99.983%.

Secure and Anonymous Three-Factor Authentication Scheme for Remote Healthcare Systems

Wireless medical sensor networks(WMSNs)play a significant role in increasing the availability of remote healthcare *** vital and physiological data of the patient can be collected using the WMSN via sensor nodes that are placed on his/her body and then transmitted remotely to a healthcare professional for proper *** protection of the patient’s privacy and their data from unauthorized access is a major concern in such ***,an authentication scheme with a high level of security is one of the most effective mechanisms by which to address these security *** authentication schemes for remote patient monitoring have been proposed ***,the majority of these schemes are extremely vulnerable to attacks and are unsuitable for practical *** paper proposes a secure three-factor authentication scheme for a patient-monitoring healthcare system that operates remotely using a *** proposed authentication scheme is formally verified using the Burrows,Abadi and Needham’s(BAN)logic model and an automatic cryptographic protocol verifier(ProVerif)*** show that our authentication scheme can prevent relevant types of security breaches in a practical context according to the discussed possible attack *** of the security and performance are carried out with recently proposed authentication *** results of the analysis show that the proposed authentication scheme is secure and practical for use,with reasonable storage space,computation,and communication efficiency.

Embedded System Based Raspberry Pi 4 for Text Detection and Recognition

Detecting and recognizing text from natural scene images presents a challenge because the image quality depends on the conditions in which the image is captured,such as viewing angles,blurring,sensor noise,***,in this paper,a prototype for text detection and recognition from natural scene images is *** prototype is based on the Raspberry Pi 4 and the Universal Serial Bus(USB)camera and embedded our text detection and recognition model,which was developed using the Python *** model is based on the deep learning text detector model through the Efficient and Accurate Scene Text Detec-tor(EAST)model for text localization and detection and the Tesseract-OCR,which is used as an Optical Character Recognition(OCR)engine for text *** prototype is controlled by the Virtual Network Computing(VNC)tool through a computer via a wireless *** experiment results show that the recognition rate for the captured image through the camera by our prototype can reach 99.75%with low computational ***,our proto-type is more performant than the Tesseract software in terms of the recognition ***,it provides the same performance in terms of the recognition rate with a huge decrease in the execution time by an average of 89%compared to the EasyOCR software on the Raspberry Pi 4 board.

Evaluation of visual stress symptoms in age-matched dyslexic, Meares-Irlen syndrome and normal adults

AIM： To examine the prevalence of dyslexia and Meares-Irlen syndrome（MIS） among female students and determine their level of visual stress in comparison with normal subjects.·METHODS： A random sample of 450 female medical students of King Saud University Riyadh（age range, 18-30y） responded to a wide range of questions designed to accomplish the aims of this study. The detailed questionnaire consisted of 54 questions with 12 questions enquiring on ocular history and demography of participants while 42 questions were on visual symptoms. Items were categorized into critical and non-critical questions（CQ and NCQ） and were rated on four point Likert scale. Based on the responses obtained, the subjects were grouped into normal（control）, dyslexic with or without MIS（Group 1） and subjects with MIS only（Group 2）. Responses were analysed as averages and mean scores were calculated and compared between groups using one way analysis of variance to evaluate total visual stress score（TVSS =NCQ ＋CQ）, critical and non-critical visual stress scores. The relationship between categorical variables such as age, handedness and condition were assessed with Chi-square test.·RESULTS： The completion rate was 97.6% and majority of the respondents（92%） were normal readers, 2%dyslexic and 6% had MIS. They were age-matched. More than half of the participants had visited an eye care practitioner in the last 2y. About 13% were recommendedeye exercises and one participant experienced pattern glare. Hand preference was not associated with any condition but Group 1 subjects（3/9, 33%） were significantly more likely to be diagnosed of lazy eye than Group 2（2/27, 7%） and control（27/414, 7%） subjects. The mean±SD of TVSS responses were 63±14 and it was 44±9for CQ and 19 ±5 for NCQ. Responses from all three variables were normally distributed but the CQ responses were on the average more positive（82%） in Group 2 and less positive（46%） in Group 1 than control. Anomaly Detection for Industrial Internet of Things Cyberattacks

The evolution of the Internet of Things(IoT)has empowered modern industries with the capability to implement large-scale IoT ecosystems,such as the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT).The IIoT is vulnerable to a diverse range of cyberattacks that can be exploited by intruders and cause substantial reputational andfinancial harm to *** preserve the confidentiality,integrity,and availability of IIoT networks,an anomaly-based intrusion detection system(IDS)can be used to provide secure,reliable,and efficient IIoT *** this paper,we propose an anomaly-based IDS for IIoT networks as an effective security solution to efficiently and effectively overcome several IIoT *** proposed anomaly-based IDS is divided into three phases:pre-processing,feature selection,and *** the pre-processing phase,data cleaning and nor-malization are *** the feature selection phase,the candidates’feature vectors are computed using two feature reduction techniques,minimum redun-dancy maximum relevance and neighborhood components *** thefinal step,the modeling phase,the following classifiers are used to perform the classi-fication:support vector machine,decision tree,k-nearest neighbors,and linear discriminant *** proposed work uses a new data-driven IIoT data set called *** experimental evaluation demonstrates our proposed model achieved a high accuracy rate of 99.58%,a sensitivity rate of 99.59%,a specificity rate of 99.58%,and a low false positive rate of 0.4%.

An Optimized Implementation of a Novel Nonlinear Filter for Color Image Restoration

Image processing is becoming more popular because images are being used increasingly in medical diagnosis,biometric monitoring,and character *** these images are frequently contaminated with noise,which can corrupt subsequent image processing ***,in this paper,we propose a novel nonlinear filter for removing“salt and pepper”impulsive noise from a complex color *** new filter is called the Modified Vector Directional Filter(MVDF).The suggested method is based on the traditional Vector Directional Filter(VDF).However,before the candidate pixel is processed by the VDF,theMVDF employs a threshold and the neighboring pixels of the candidate pixel in a 3×3 filter window to determine whether it is noise-corrupted or *** reference color images corrupted by impulsive noise with intensities ranging from 3%to 20%are used to assess theMVDF’s *** results of the experiments show that theMVDF is better than the VDF and the Generalized VDF(GVDF)in terms of the PSNR(Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio),NCD(Normalized Color Difference),and execution time for the denoised *** fact,the PSNR is increased by 6.554%and 12.624%,the NCD is decreased by 20.273%and 44.147%,and the execution time is reduced by approximately a factor of 3 for the MVDF relative to the VDF and GVDF,*** results prove the efficiency of the proposed ***,a hardware design is proposed for the MVDF using the High-Level Synthesis(HLS)flow in order to increase its *** design,which is implemented on the Xilinx ZynqXCZU9EG Field-ProgrammableGate Array(FPGA),allows the restoration of a 256×256-pixel image in 2 milliseconds(ms)only.

Pure bitumen is not suitable for heavy traffic loads;hence modifiers are used to improve the bitumen ***,cup lump rubber(CLR)has become a preferred modifier due to its outstanding performance and less ***,little is known about the interactions between CLR and ***,this study investigates the behavior of bitumen with *** percentages of CLR(2.5%,5.0%,7.5%,and 10.0%by weight of bitumen)were used to modify conventional 60/70 penetration grade *** modified bitumen was evaluated through different laboratory testing such as dynamic shear rheometer,rotational viscosity,softening point,bending beam rheometer,ductility,and elastic *** testing results show that the addition of CLR increased the bitumen’s rutting resistance by 3 PG grades at high *** low pavement temperatures,the cup lump rubber modified bitumen(CMB)can withstand up to−34℃.Fourier Transform Infrared(FTIR)analysis shows that the Aromaticity index at 1600 cm^(−1) rose as the CLR percentage increased,indicating the formation of a binder with a compact *** is expected to improve the elasticity of bitumen throughπ-π*** Force Microscopy(AFM)results showed the Catana phase increased in size and quantity at 5.0%and 7.5%CLR *** contact angle measurement revealed that the binders are hydrophobic and tend to repel the dropped water on the bitumen surface.

Unified FPGA Design for the HEVC Dequantization and Inverse Transform Modules

As the newest standard,the High Efficiency Video Coding(HEVC)is specially designed to minimize the bitrate for video data transfer and to support High Definition(HD)and ULTRA HD video resolutions at the cost of increasing computational complexity relative to earlier standards like the ***,real-time video decoding with HEVC decoder becomes a challenging ***,the Dequantization and Inverse Transform(DE/IT)are one of the computationally intensive modules in the HEVC decoder which are used to reconstruct the residual ***,in this paper,a unified hardware architecture is proposed to implement the HEVC DE/IT module for all Transform Unit(TU)block size,including 4×4,8×8,16×16 and 32×*** architecture is designed using the High-Level Synthesis(HLS)and the Low-Level Synthesis(LLS)methods in order to compare and determine the best method to implement in real-time the DE/IT *** fact,the C/C++programming language is used to generate an optimized hardware design for DE/IT module through the Xilinx Vivado HLS *** the other hand,the LLS hardware architecture is designed by the VHSIC Hardware Description language(VHDL)and using the pipeline technique to decrease the processing *** experimental results on the Xilinx XC7Z020 FPGA show that the LLS design increases the throughput in term of frame rate by 80%relative to HLS design with a 4.4%increase in the number of Look-Up Tables(LUTs).Compared with existing related works in literature,the proposed architectures demonstrate significant advantages in hardware cost and performance improvement.
