The gold-standard management of acute cholecystitis is cholecystectomy.Surgical intervention may be contraindicated due to permanent causes.To date,the classical approach is percutaneous cholecystostomy in patients unresponsive to medical therapy.However, with this treatment some patients may experience discomfort,complications and a decrease in their quality of life.In these cases,endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided gallbladder drainage may represent an effective minimally invasive alternative.Our objective is to describe in detail this new and not well-known technique:EUS-guided cholecystenterostomy.We will describe how the patient should be prepared,what accessories are needed and how the technique is performed.We will also discuss the possible indications for this technique and will provide a brief review based on published reports and our own experience.

This paper aims to create visible light driven ternary photocatalysts using zinc oxide(ZnO),cerium(IV)oxide(CeO_(2)),and carbon xerogel(CX) as constituent materials.The use of CeO_(2) is based on the creation of direct-Z-scheme heterojunctions with the ZnO and the consequent diminishing of charge recombination,whereas the carbon xerogel inclusion is predicted to minimize bandgap energy,decrease electro n-hole reco mbination,and boost specific surface area.Furthermo re,the choice of the black-wattle tannin as a carbonaceous precursor was targeted at the development of an environmentally friendly and affordable composite.The existence of the hexagonal phase of zinc oxide and cubic structure of the cerium(IV) oxide in the ternary material was confirmed by X-ray diffractometry and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,with the latter also suggesting chemical bonding between the ZnO and the CX due to the creation of zinc oxycarbide complexes.The inclusion of the carbon xerogel provokes a significant modification in the morphology of the ternary material,resulting in an increased surface area and smaller particle aggregates.The CX/ZnO-CeO_(2) ternary composite obtains the highest photocatalytic efficiency among all the materials studied,degrading 100% of 4-chlorophenol under simulated sunlight and 68% under visible radiation,after 5 h.The increased photocatalytic activity can be attributed to the formation of direct Z-scheme heterojunctions between the semiconductors,higher visible light response,and higher specific surface area,as evidenced by the results obtained by active radical scavenging,chronoamperometry,diffuse reflectance spectroscopy,and N_(2) adsorption-desorption isotherms.

对生物质热解挥发物蒸汽重整反应过程中催化剂的失活过程和主要机理进行了研究.在圆锥形喷动床反应器中于500℃进行生物质热解,随后在固定床反应器中于600℃进行重整反应;同时在不同轴向位置分析了催化剂位置对重整反应器的影响.采用N_(2)吸附-脱附、X射线衍射、扫描电镜、透射电镜、程序升温氧化、拉曼光谱和傅里叶变换红外光谱对失活样品进行表征.结果表明,焦炭沉积是初始催化剂活性衰减的主要原因,且没有观察到镍位点的烧结或氧化.随着反应的进行,沿着重整催化床观察到失活情况,焦炭沉积于催化剂内,其性质和组成取决于到达床中每个轴向位置的挥发物组成.在催化床的入口部分,焦炭沉积在Ni位点上,并且具有一定的含氧量.在更深的轴向床位置,催化剂与挥发性物质接触,该挥发性物质的组成已经明显改变,从而形成具有石墨化程度更高的焦炭,并且形成更多的缩合聚芳烃化合物.此外,沉积在所有失活样品上的焦炭没有呈现任何特定的形态,这也表明,无论所处的催化床位置和反应时间,焦炭均呈现无定形结构.

Soil microbes have important effects on the interactions of plants with their environment, by promoting plant growth, inducing resistance to pests or by conferring tolerance to abiotic stress. However, their effects are variable and the factors responsible for this variation are mainly unknown. Our aim was to assess how drought stress modifies the effect of the nonpathogenic rhizobacterium Pseudomonas simiae WCS417r on plant growth and resistance against the generalist leaf-chewing caterpillar Mamestra brassicae. We studied Arabidopsis tha/iana Col-0 plants, as well as mutants altered in the biosyn- thesis of the phytohormones jasmonic acid （JA） and abscisic acid （ABA）. Caterpillars did not prefer rhizobacteria-treated plants, independently of drought stress. Rhizobacteria colonization had a variable effect on caterpillar performance, which ranged from positive in one experiment to neutral in a second one. Drought had a consistent negative effect on herbivore performance; however, it did not modify the effect of rhizobacteria on herbivore performance. The effect of drought on herbivore performance was JA-mediated （confirmed with the use of the dde2-2 mutant）, but it was still present in the ABA-deficient mutant aba2-1. Plant biomass was reduced by both drought and herbivory but it was enhanced by rhizobacterial colonization. Pseudomonas simiae WCS417r is able to promote plant growth even when plants are suffering herbivory. Nevertheless, the microbial effect on the herbivore is variable, independently of drought stress. To get the best possible outcome from the rhizobacteria-plant mutualism it is important to understand which other factors may be responsible for its context-dependency.

γ-Aminobutyric acid（GABA）,plays a key role in all stages of life,also is considered the main inhibitory neurotransmitter.GABA activates two kind of membrane receptors known as GABAA and GABAB,the first one is responsible to render tonic inhibition by pentameric receptors containing α4-6,β3,δ,or ρ1-3 subunits,they are located at perisynaptic and/or in extrasynaptic regions.The biophysical properties of GABAA tonic inhibition have been related with cellular protection against excitotoxic injury and cell death in presence of excessive excitation.On this basis,GABAA tonic inhibition has been proposed as a potential target for therapeutic intervention of Huntington＇s disease.Huntington＇s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by a genetic mutation of the huntingtin protein.For experimental studies of Huntington＇s disease mouse models have been developed,such as R6/1,R6/2,Hdh Q92,Hdh Q150,as well as YAC128.In all of them,some key experimental reports are focused on neostriatum.The neostriatum is considered as the most important connection between cerebral cortex and basal ganglia structures,its cytology display two pathways called direct and indirect constituted by medium sized spiny neurons expressing dopamine D1 and D2 receptors respectively,they display strong expression of many types of GABAA receptors,including tonic subunits.The studies about of GABAA tonic subunits and Huntington＇s disease into the neostriatum are rising in recent years,suggesting interesting changes in their expression and localization which can be used as a strategy to delay the cellular damage caused by the imbalance between excitation and inhibition,a hallmark of Huntington＇s disease.

Understanding the factors that affect animal dispersal behavior is important from both fi.mdamental and applied perspectives. Dispersal can have clear evolutionary and ecological consequences, but for normative insect pests, dispersal capacity can also help to explain invasion success. Vespula germanica is a social wasp that, in the last century, has successfully invaded several regions of the world, showing one of the highest spread rates reported for a nonnative insect. In contrast with nonsocial wasps, in social species, queens are responsible for population redistribution and spread, as workers are sterile. For V. germanica, it has been observed that queen flight is limited to 2 distinct periods： early autumn, when new queens leave the nest to mate and find sheltered places in which to hibernate, and spring when new colonies are founded. Our aim was to study the flight behavior of V. germanica queens by focusing on the different periods in which dispersal occurs, characterizing as well the potential contribution of queen flight （i.e., distance） to the observed geographical spread. Our results suggest that the distances flown by nonover- wintered queens is greater than that flown by overwintered individuals, suggesting that the main queen dispersal events would occur before queens enter hibernation. This could relate to a behavioral trait of the queens to avoid the inbreeding with related drones. Additionally, given the short distances flown and remarkable geographical spread observed, we provide evidence showing that queen dispersal by flight is likely to contribute proportionately less to population spread than human-aided factors.

Primary Analysis of Oceanic Mesoscale Eddies Observation Abilities by Sentinel-3A SRAL

In this study,the north-western Pacific Ocean of Kuroshio region is selected as the experimental area to analyze the mesoscale eddies observation abilities of Sentinel-3 A SRAL,including the independent detection abilities of Sentinel-3 A SRAL and the improvement of mesoscale eddies detection abilities by data fusion with other satellite altimetry data.The Sentinel-3 A SRAL data are mapped by the spatial-temporal objective analysis method to the sea level anomaly grid data.The mapping errors are analyzed by the comparisons between the grid data of different combinations and along the ground track of Jason-2/3.The independent detection abilities of Sentinel-3 A SRAL are analyzed by the comparison between the grid data and the AVISO MSLA data.On the other hand,through the multi-satellite data fusion of different combinations of Sentinel-3 A altimeter and other satellite altimeters such as Jason-2/3,the mesoscale eddies detection was performed based on the merged sea level anomaly data and the addition of Sentinel-3 A SRAL data for the improvements of mesoscale eddies detection abilities by multi-satellite altimeters are concluded.It is concluded that Sentinel-3 A SRAL has good abilities of mesoscale eddies detection as the combination of Jason-2 and Jason-3,and it is better than that of single altimeter of Jason-2 or Jason-3.

Recent advances in the understanding of deltaic deposits provide new tools for the study and analysis of deltaic deposits in shallow epicontinental seas.After the introduction of sequence stratigraphic concepts,meter-scale coarsening and thickening upward successions have been considered as“parasequences”originated by high-frequency sea-level changes.Nevertheless,recent studies enhanced the importance of wave-aided low-dense hyperpycnal flows in transporting fine-grained sediments in shallow shelfal areas.These poorly-known(and at the same time very common)types of delta,known as hyperpycnal littoral deltas(HLD),develop very low gradient progradational units,controlled by changes in the sediment supply instead of sea level changes.These small-scale progradational units are very common in shallow epicontinental seas like the Lower Cretaceous Agrio Formation in the Neuquén Basin.This study provides a first detailed analysis of hyperpycnal littoral deltas from the Agua de la Mula Member(upper Hauterivian-lower Barremian)of the Agrio Formation.This unit has been studied in three locations near Bajada del Agrio locality in the central part of the Neuquén Basin,Argentina.Six sandy facies,three heterolithic facies,three muddy facies and four calcareous facies were recognized.From facies analysis,three facies associations could be determined,corresponding to offshore/prodelta,distal ramp delta and proximal ramp delta.The three stratigraphic sections discussed in this study are internally composed of several small-scale sequences showing a coarsening and thickening upward pattern,transitionally going from muddy to sandy wave-dominated facies,and ending with calcareous bioclastics levels on top.These small-scale sequences are interpreted as delta front deposits of wave-influenced hyperpycnal littoral deltas,punctuated by calcareous intervals accumulated during periods of low sediment supply.It is interpreted that the development of hyperpycnal littoral deltas could have been facilitated by a decrease in sea water salinity
