The present study quantifies the relationship between ultraviolet-B(UVB) and broadband solar radiation(G) at Qena,*** from 10-year hourly integrated totals for both UVB and G on a horizontal surface were used to determine the best fit between the two radiation *** the basis of the correlation of determination(r2),a second-order polynomial was determined to provide the best *** the purpose of developing an empirical model to estimate UVB,all of the cases of UVB and G from a nine-year study from 2001 to 2009 were *** and seasonal empirical models,as well as a general expression,were established for UVB as a function of *** values of r2 ranged from 0.90 to *** using a new dataset of G,the estimated and the corresponding measured values of UVB were determined to be in good agreement whereby the values of r2 between the two ranged from 0.91 to *** addition,the significance and performance of the regression forms were evaluated with the aid of several statistical analysis *** values of the index of modeling(d) and coefficient of modeling efficiency(ME) were close to ***,the values of RMSE,mean bias error(MBE),and mean absolute error(MAE) were lower than the experimental *** the basis of this analysis,it has been determined that the suggested regression forms can be used to estimate UVB when it difficult to obtain measurements or when measurements are available only for limited periods at the studied region.

As corona virus disease(COVID-19)is still an ongoing global outbreak,countries around the world continue to take precautions and measures to control the spread of the *** of the excessive number of infected patients and the resulting deficiency of testing kits in hospitals,a rapid,reliable,and automatic detection of COVID-19 is in extreme need to curb the number of *** analyzing the COVID-19 chest X-ray images,a novel metaheuristic approach is proposed based on hybrid dipper throated and particle swarm *** lung region was segmented from the original chest X-ray images and augmented using various transformation ***,the augmented images were fed into the VGG19 deep network for feature *** the other hand,a feature selection method is proposed to select the most significant features that can boost the classification ***,the selected features were input into an optimized neural network for *** neural network is optimized using the proposed hybrid *** experimental results showed that the proposed method achieved 99.88%accuracy,outperforming the existing COVID-19 detection *** addition,a deep statistical analysis is performed to study the performance and stability of the proposed *** results confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach.

Assessment of Aortic Root Mechanics in Hypertensive Patients by Speckle Tracking Echocardiography

Objectives: Hypertension is a major risk factor for several cardiovascular diseases, including stroke, atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease. Remodeling of the aortic root may be expected to occur in hypertensive subjects as a result of increased stress on the aortic wall due to the repeated hemodynamic overload. Two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography is a promising new imaging modality. The aim of this study is to assess aortic root mechanics in relation to left ventricular mechanics in hypertensive patients by speckle tracking echocardiography. Methods: The study included 50 individuals, 30 patients with hypertension compared with 20 age and sex matched healthy volunteers as control group. For both groups, conventional echo was done and speckle tracking echocardiography of the LV including longitudinal, circumferential, radial strain, LV rotation and the longitudinal strain of the ascending aorta and aortic distensibility were measured. Results: Aortic longitudinal strain of both anterior and posterior walls, andalso LV longitudinal peak systolic strain were lower significantly in patient group, and also in the same group, the apical rotation was higher than control;aortic longitudinal strain was negatively correlated with E/E, and LV global longitudinal strain was correlated positively with septal annular E wave peak velocity and with aortic distensibility. Conclusion: Hypertension significantly lowers ascending aortic longitudinal strain and the changes are correlated significantly with LV longitudinal systolic function and with echo parameters of elevated LV filling pressure.

The trigeminal root entry zone is the zone at which the myelination switches from peripheral Schwann cells to central *** special anatomical and physiological structure renders it susceptible to nerve *** etiology of most primary trigeminal neuralgia is closely related to microvascular compression of the trigeminal root entry *** study aimed to develop an efficient in vitro model mimicking the glial environment of trigeminal root entry zone as a tool to investigate the effects of glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor on the structural and functional integrity of trigeminal root entry zone and modulation of cellular *** astrocytes and Schwann cells isolated from trigeminal root entry zone of postnatal rats were inoculated into a two-well silicon culture insert to mimic the trigeminal root entry zone microenvironment and treated with glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor and brain-derived neurotrophic *** monoculture,glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor promoted the migration of Schwann cells,but it did not have effects on the migration of *** the co-culture system,glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor promoted the bidirectional migration of astrocytes and Schwann ***-derived neurotrophic factor markedly promoted the activation and migration of ***,in the co-culture system,brain-derived neurotrophic factor inhibited the migration of astrocytes and Schwann cells to a certain *** findings suggest that glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor are involved in the regulation of the astrocyte-Schwann cell interaction in the co-culture system derived from the trigeminal root entry *** system can be used as a cell model to study the mechanism of glial dysregulation associated with trigeminal nerve injury and possible therapeutic interventions.

球床反应堆是一类安全先进的核能系统,它能够用于高效地发电和提供高温过程热,并且具备不停堆连续换料的优势。对于球床反应堆而言,精确的物理仿真是非常重要的,也是很有价值的。但是,由于球床反应堆的几何结构比较复杂,从而给物理仿真造成了很大困难,特别是对于传统的确定论方法。在本文中,采用了具有较强几何描述能力的蒙特卡罗方法,对于球床反应堆进行了精细建模研究。首先,本文对于中子输运的蒙特卡罗方法和程序以及球床反应堆的特点进行了全面深入地调研,这是后续建立球床反应堆蒙特卡罗模型的重要研究基础。接下来,选取了正在中国建造的球床模块式高温气冷堆（HTR-PM）作为研究对象,采用蒙特卡罗程序建立了其精细模型,包括含有TRISO包覆颗粒的燃料球、含有燃料球和石墨球的球床、堆芯顶锥和底锥、侧反射层氦气孔道、侧反射层控制棒孔道、侧反射层吸收球孔道、底反射层B4C小棒。同时,出于模拟便利性的考虑,建立了 HTR-PM上述结构的均匀化/等效模型,并与精细模型进行了比较分析。本文的计算结果表明,HTR-PM反射层区域的蒙特卡罗精细模型和均匀化模型,在Keff方面的差别很小,甚至可以忽略,这就意味着即使采用了方便的均匀化模型,也不会对物理计算产生明显的误差。此外,对于HTR-PM初装堆而言,燃料球和石墨球的数量比例是可以变化的,此时对于球床区域采用第三种等效模型得到了较高的计算精度,因此从便于仿真的角度,推荐在今后的工作中采用第三种等效模型。本文的计算结果和分析结论,对于球床反应堆的设计和运行工作,具有一定的工程参考价值。

Massive limestones were used in construction of ancient Egyptian tombs, temples, obelisks and other sculptures. These stones are always exposed to physico-mechanical deterioration and destructive forces, leading to partial or total collapse. The task of reassembling this type of artifacts represents a big challenge for the conservators. Recently, the researchers are turning to new technologies to improve the properties of traditional adhesive materials and techniques used in re-assembly of broken massive stones. The epoxy resins are used extensively in stone conservation and re-assembly of broken stones because of their outstanding mechanical properties. The adding of nanoparticles to polymeric adhesives at low percentages may lead to substantial improvements of their mechanical performances in structural joints and massive objects. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of montmorillonite clay, calcium carbonate, and silicon dioxide nanoparticles for enhancing the performances of epoxy adhesives used in re-assembly of archaeological massive limestones. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was employed in order to investigate the morphology of the prepared nanocomposites, and the distribution of nanoparticles inside the composites. Artificial aging, tensile, compressive, and elongation strength tests were used to evaluate the efficiency of epoxy-nanocomposites. The results showed that the epoxy-clay nanocomposites exhibited superior tensile, compressive, and elongation strength, in addition to improving the mechanical properties of stone joints.

An intraligamentary pregnancy is an extremely rare form of ectopic pregnancy, with only a few cases reported. We report a 20-year-old woman who had an ongoing pregnancy at about 22 weeks gestation, consulted for recurrent urinary retention and severe lower abdominal pain of two days duration. Pelvic ultrasonography revealed an extrauterine gestation of 19 weeks and four days on the left adnexal region. Exploratory laparotomy was performed that found left intraligamentary pregnancy (unruptured) measured 20 - 25 cm across, attached posteriorly to the bowel (sigmoid colon) and extended to the pouch of douglas impinging on the bladder base. Resection of ectopic pregnancy was successfully performed, urine retention resolved, and the patient was discharged with no postoperative complications. Early recognition of this rare form of ectopic gestation is of considerable importance because of the risk of a life-threatening haemorrhagic complication necessitating emergency surgical intervention.
