Using a melt-cooling process with the host glass,Dy_(2)O_(3)(1 wt%,2 wt%,3 wt%,and 4 wt%) doped tellurite glasses were produced.A(65-x)TeO_(2)-20B_(2)O_(3)-10Al_(2)O_(3)-SGeO_(2)-xDy_(2)O_(3) glass system was analyzed by Xray *** patterns have a hump at 2θ=27°-29° and no sharp peaks,indicating that all the glass samples are *** Vickers microhardness determines how resistant a glass is to persistent deformation produced by a harder *** scanning calorimetry(DSC) at 300-550℃ was used to evaluate the thermal properties of the Dy_x glass *** glass transition temperature T_g(small endothermic peak),start crystallization temperature T_x and crystallization temperature T_c can all be seen on the DSC thermogram(exothermic peaks).The UV-Vis transmittance and absorption spectra were *** optical data show that the values of E_d^(ir),E_g^(Ind) and E_U decrease as the amount of Dy_(2)O_(3)increases,indicating a narrowing of the tails due to localized states in the forbidden gap.A concentration quenching event occurs when Dy^(3+) concentrations are above a certain threshold(1%).The addition of Dy_(2)O_(3) increases glass density,while the addition of other Dy(Ⅲ) oxides increases sample *** radiation shielding values change as a consequence of density *** sample with the highest amount of Dy_(2)O_(3)(Dy_(4)) has stronger radiation shielding characteristics;hence,it is superior in terms of shielding outcomes at all energy *** Dy_x samples can be used in various forms of ionizing radiation shielding.

Objective: This study investigated the biochemical, histopathological and physiological effects of Citrullus colocynthis on peripheral neuropathy in rats with streptozotocin(STZ)-induced ***: Seventy adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were included in the present study. Diabetes was induced in 60 rats, with a single intraperitoneal injection of STZ(65 mg/kg). After 4 weeks, the diabetic rats were assessed for neuropathy. Then, the diabetic rats with neuropathy were randomly divided into 6 groups for a 4-week treatment with gabapentin, oral administration of C. colocynthis fruit pulp powder(100 and 300 mg/kg per day), topical preparations as oil-based solution and ointment, or *** in metabolic, physiological, biochemical and histological parameters were considered as treatment ***: Metabolic outcomes(body weight and blood glucose level) were improved in the C. colocynthistreated groups as compared to placebo. Tail-flick and hot-plate tests also had lower latency in the C. colocynthis-treated groups. Measurement of oxidative stress markers(malondialdehyde, superoxide dismutase and catalase) showed the antioxidant effect of C. colocynthis. Histological evaluation of the sciatic nerve showed that C. colocynthis decreased the number of demyelinated and degenerated nerve *** the C. colocynthis-treated groups, the one receiving 100 mg/kg power per day orally had the best treatment ***: The present study showed that C. colocynthis fruit, through its antioxidant and hypoglycemic activities, has a positive effect in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy.

Laser heterodyne interferometer is one kind of nano-metrology systems which has been widely used in industry for high-accuracy displacement *** accuracy of the nano-metrology systems based on the laser heterodyne interferometers can be effectively limited by the periodic nonlinearity. In this paper, we present the nonlinearity modeling of the nano-metrology interferometric system using some adaptive filters. The adaptive algorithms consist of the least mean squares(LMS),normalized least mean squares(NLMS), and recursive least squares(RLS). It is shown that the RLS algorithm can obtain optimal modeling parameters of nonlinearity.

为研究平板间方柱绕流上下平板对置于其中的方柱绕流所产生的影响,采用格子Boltzmann方法对二维平板间低雷诺数(Re=100)方柱绕流问题进行了数值模拟研究.分析了3种不同阻塞比下,平板边壁对方柱的升、阻力系数、Strouhal数和尾涡流场的影响.结果表明:平板对方柱绕流特性有明显的影响,随着阻塞比的增加,阻力系数和Strouhal数均增大,与无边壁相比阻力系数可增加达30%,而升力系数却随之减小.计算结果与相关实验数据相吻合,验证了格子Boltzmann方法对钝体绕流非定常问题模拟的有效性。

Evaluation of preventable trauma death in emergency department of Imam Reza hospital

BACKGROUND: Trauma is considered as a worldwide problem despite socio-economic development. Motor vehicle accidents(MVAs) are the most important cause of trauma. Trauma related deaths are mostly preventable. This study aimed to investigate the causes and prevention of death in trauma ***: This retrospective, descriptive-analytic study assessed 100 trauma patients referred to our emergency department(ED) from January 2013 to Januanry 2015. The included patients were those with trauma died after arrival at our ED. Age, sex, cause of trauma, clinical causes of death, causes of death def ined by autopsy, way of transfer to the ED, time of ambulance arrival at the scene of trauma, and time elapsed to enter the ED from the scene of trauma were ***: In the 100 patients, 21(21%) patients were female and 79(79%) male. Fortythree patients were older than 60 years. Trauma was largely due to pedestrian accidents in 31% of the patients, and 33% had a hypo-volemic shock. About 80% of deaths were due to intra-cranial hemorrhage(ICH) or intra-ventricular hemorrhage(IVH), and spinal injuries were not preventable. Autopsy revealed that 28% of the patients suffered from internal injuries. Autopsy revealed that 19% of the deaths were not preventable and 81% were considered preventable. In our patients, 76 were transferred to the hospital by emergency medicine services(EMS). Analysis of time for ambulance arrival to the scene and frequency of death revealed that 52.2% of the deaths occurred between 11 and 15 minutes. Analysis of time for admission to the ED from the scene of trauma showed that 74.6% deaths occurred between 6 and 10 ***: The rate of hospital preventable deaths is about 80%, a high mortality rate, which denotes a lack of proper diagnosis and treatment. The time for arrival of EMS at the scene of trauma is longer than that in other countries.

Promising effect of Magliasa, a traditional Iranian formula, on experimental colitis on the basis of biochemical and cellular findings

AIM: To investigate the efficacy of Magliasa, a traditional Iranian formula, on experimental colitis. METHODS: After botanical authentication of herbal ingredients, formulation of Magliasa, quantitative determination of total glucosinolates and total phenolic content, and analysis of the thin layer chromatography profile were performed. Colitis was then induced in male rats by instillation of 2,4,6-trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS) in all groups, aside from the Sham *** experimental groups consisted of: the Sham group that received only normal saline; the Mag-50, Mag-100 and Mag-200 groups, which received 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg per day of Magliasa, respectively; the control group, which received vehicle water orally; the infliximab group, which received infliximab (5 mg/kg per day, subcutaneously); and the Dexa group, which received dexamethasone (1 mg/kg per day, orally). After completing the treatment period (2 wk), the rats were sacrificed, the colon was removed, its macroscopic and microscopic changes were recorded, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-1 beta (IL-1b), total antioxidant capacity, myeloperoxidase (MPO), and lipid peroxidation (LPO) were assessed in colon ***: The mean value of total glucosinolates in one gram of Magliasa was 19 ± 1 μmol. The mean value of the total phenolic content was 293.8 ± 17.6 mg gallic acid equivalents per 100 gram of Magliasa. Macroscopic scores were significantly decreased in Mag-100 (1.80 ± 0.58, P = 0.019) and Mag-200 (1.20 ± 0.20, P = 0.001) compared to the control group (3.40 ± 0.24), although some inflammation and hyperemia were evident. Treatment of rats by dexamethasone (0.33 ± 0.21, P y attenuated scores where mild hyperemia was observed macroscopically. In comparison to the control group (4.00 ± 0.32), only Mag-200 (1.60 ± 0.40) showed a significant decrease in colonic histopathological scores (P = 0.005). Minimal mucos

空化是一种微观、瞬时、随机、多相的复杂现象,其过程中所产生的极端条件以及伴随的一系列空化效应,将对液流系统产生破坏性和建设性两方面的作用.采用基于Shan-Chen模型的单组分多相流格子Boltzmann方法对水体中的三维空化现象进行了数值模拟,研究了低压下水体中气核半径与空化现象的相互关系,成功再现了低压下水体中微小气核发展成气泡的过程,并进一步研究了水体依次流经低压区、高压区时空化产生、发展、溃灭的全过程.数值模拟结果和理论预测结果符合良好.

Condensation of methyl 7-methylcoumarin-4-acetate(2)with primary amines and with an- thranilic acid gave 7-methyl-2-oxo-N-aryl-2H-[1]-benzopyran-4--acetamide(4a—d)and(7),respectively. Compound 7 underwent cyclization to give 2-(7-methyl-2-oxo-2H-[1]-benzopyran-4-yl)-methyl-4H-3,1- benzoxazin-4-one(3).The reaction of 3 with aromatic amines gave the corresponding quinazolone derivatives 5 which tautomerises to the thermodynamically more stable isomer 6,whereas its reaction with Grignard reagents and aromatic aldehydes gave 8a,8b,and 9a,9b,respectively.
