Evaluation of the Incidence and Severity of Olive Leaf Spot Caused by <i>Spilocaea oleagina</i>on Olive Trees in Palestine

Olive Leaf Spot (OLS) is found in many parts of the world and cause readuced growth and yield in olive trees. In this study, investigations were carried out to measure the incidence (% infected leaves) and severity (number of lesions/leaf) of OLS in olive growing regions in Palestine, including the regions of Hebron, Bethlehem, Tulkarm, Salfit, Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah and Qalqiyah. OLS was found in all study areas with significantly higher percent incidences in Jenin and Nablus (67.16% ± 18.16% and 46.06% ± 23.70%, respectively). OLS was more severe in Nablus, Qalqilyah, Jenin and Tulkarm (severity grade 3.0 - 3.7). Analysis indicate that there is a positive correlation (R2 = 0.597) between disease incidence and severity. OLS appeared to be particularly severe on trees that were growing in regions with higher annual rainfall. The correlation between severity and rainfall was positive (R2 = 0.543).

Objective:Duphaston is used as an alternative to gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH)antagonists for suppressing premature luteinizing hormone(LH)*** study aimed to compare the efficacy of Duphaston protocols with that of Cetrotide in suppressing the LH ***:In this retrospective cross-sectional study,669 infertile women(aged 25-40 years)were administered recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone(rFSH)from the third day of their menstrual *** the follicular diameter reached 13 to 14 mm,Cetrotide was prescribed orally to the control subjects,also case subjects took Duphaston *** retrieved oocytes were fertilized by an intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI).Results:The levels of FSH,LH,and estradiol did not differ significantly between the groups(P>0.05).However,the findings indicated that Duphaston led to greater oocyte retrieval than Cetrotide(P=0.006).However,the number of mature oocytes and viable embryos in the case subjects did not reach a significant difference compared to that in the control subjects(P>0.05).The number of good-quality embryos(stage 1)was significantly higher in the case subjects(P=0.04).In addition,there is no significant difference in the chemical,clinical pregnancy,implantation rate,and miscarriage rate between both groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Duphaston could be utilized as a suitable medication rather than a GnRH antagonist in women subjected to controlled ovarian hyperstimulation.

An efficient, environmentally friendly procedure for the synthesis of amidoalkyl naphthols through the one‐pot, three‐component reaction of β‐naphthol, aryl aldehydes, and acetamide in the presence of a carbon‐based solid acid under thermal solvent‐free conditions is described. The beneficial fea-tures of this new synthetic approach include short reaction time, high yields, clean reaction profiles, and a simple work‐up procedure. Furthermore, the catalyst can be readily recycled and reused four times without obvious significant loss of activity. The structure of the catalyst was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, N2 adsorption/desorption analysis, and X‐ray diffraction.

The energy consumption of the information and communication technology sector has become a significant portion of the total global energy consumption, warranting research efforts to attempt to reduce it. The pre-requisite for effectual energy management is the availability of the current power consumption values from network devices. Previous works have attempted to estimate and model the consumption values or have measured it using intrusive approaches such as using an in-line power meter. Recent trends suggest that information models are being increasingly used in all aspects of network management. This paper presents a framework developed for enabling the collection of real-time power consumption information from the next generation of networking hardware non-intrusively by employing information models. The experiment results indicate that it is feasible to gather power consumption data using standardized IETF information models, or non-standard customized information models, or through abstracting and exposing the information in a uniform format when no support for the required information models exists. Functional validation of the proposed framework is performed and the results from this research could be leveraged to make energy-efficient network management decisions.

The regular position of radioloops in the sky and their angular dimensions are described by an equation with a single parameter 2 π/к. Thus, for loops I-IV к takes values 3, 4, 6 and 9 within average random observational errors;and the relative accuracy is only few percent. The parameter form is similar to the wavelength, expressed via the wave number к. It is an argument for the hypothesis of wave nature of spurs. Other arguments are considered as well.
