A bibliometric analysis of railway safety research: Thematic evolution, current status, and future research directions

This study reports a bibliometric analysis of a sample of 787 articles from the Web of Science database. Railway safety is a broad research field with high research ***-assisted techniques such as bibliometric analysis could be used to study the thematic evolution and intellectual structure of such high-activity research fields. This study aims to identify recent advances in railway safety research and suggest future research directions. We first set out to identify the themes that define railway safety research through science mapping. Using citation count and Page Rank of articles, the most prestigious articles published within the last decade were identified for content *** on artificial intelligence applications to railway safety, particularly in hazard identification, infrastructure and equipment control, and condition monitoring, have gained traction in recent years. The security and safety of proposed cyber-physical systems for railway applications have been widely studied. Studies on next-level train control systems such as ETCS-3 and CTCS-4 have focused on satellite-based train localization and5G technology(and beyond) for railway communication systems. Research on human reliability in railway operations and management has also received considerable attention from researchers. However, little consideration is given to addressing issues related to the reliability of expert judgments-a key instrument in practical railway safety assessment. In the end, we suggest six avenues for future research in railway safety.

We present the microbial green synthesis of silver nanoparticles （hiPs） by Streptomyces ghanaensis VITHM1 strain （MTCC No. 12465）. The secondary metabolites in the cell free supernatant of this bacterium when incubated with 1 mmol/L AgNO3, mediated the biological synthesis of AgNPs. The synthesized AgNPs were characterized by UV-visible spectrum, X-ray diffrac- tion （XRD）, atomic force microscope, scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering and zeta potential. They were highly stable and, spherical in shape with the average size of 30-50 nm. The secondary metabolites involved in the formation of AgNPs were identified gas chromatographymass spectrography. The 3D structure of the unit cell of the synthesized AgNPs was determined using XRD data base. The synthesized AgNPs exhibited significant antibacterial activity against tested bacterial pathogens, and did not show haemolysis on human red blood cells. This green synthesis could provide a new platform to explore and use AgNPs as antibacterial therapeutic agents.

Continuum manipulators(CM)are soft and flexible manipulators with large numbers of degrees of freedom and can perform complex tasks in an unstructured ***,their deformability and compliance can deviate distal tip under uncertain external *** address this challenge,a novel tension-based control scheme has been proposed to modulate the stiffness of a tendon-driven CM,reducing the tip position errors caused by uncertain external *** minimize the tip position error,a virtual spring is positioned between the deviated and the desired tip *** proposed algorithm corrects the manipulator deviated tip position,improving tension distribution and stiffness profile,resulting in higher stiffness and better *** corresponding task space stiffness and condition numbers are also computed under different cases,indicating the effectiveness of the tension control scheme in modulating the manipulator's *** validation conducted on an in-house developed prototype confirms the practical feasibility of the proposed approach.

通过电弧增材制造技术，将SS316L合金和Inconel625合金与Ti6Al4V或Inconel718合金结合，制备功能梯度材料（FGMs）。制备了2种FGMs，分别为60%SS316L+20%Inconel625+20%Ti6Al4V复合材料和60%SS316L+20%Inconel625+20%Inconel718复合材料。对抗拉伸强度、伸长率、屈服强度、硬度、母材的横截面积和成分进行了分析。结果表明，与60%SS316L+20%Inconel625+20%Ti6Al4V复合材料相比，60%SS316L+20%Inconel625+20%Inconel718复合材料具有更好的力学性能；同时，60%SS316L+20%Inconel625+20%Ti6Al4V复合材料的综合性能优于母材SS316L。因此，60%SS316L+20%Inconel625+20%Inconel718复合材料是最佳选择。由于其高强度，60%SS316L+20%Inconel625+20%Inconel718复合材料在高压气动工具和防御工具中具有巨大的应用潜力。

A numerical investigation of laminar natural double diffusive convection in an open ended vertical cylindrical annulus with unheated entry and unheated exit is *** boundary conditions of uniform wall temperature/uniform wall concentration(UWT/UWC)and uniform heat flux/uniform mass flux(UHF/UMF)are *** of dimensionless induced volume rate Q,average Nusselt number Nu and Sherwood number Sh are obtained for air flow under various buoyancy ratio N,Grashof numbers due to heat and mass transfer GrT and GrM,Schmidt number Sc and combinations of unheated entry,heated section and unheated exit *** the flow under consideration is a boundary layer type,the governing partial differential equations was discretized to a linear system of equations by the use of an implicit finite difference *** nonlinear convective terms are approximated by second upwind difference method for the numerical *** numerical results reveal that the presence of unheated entry and unheated exit severely affects the heat and mass transfer *** numerical solutions are found to approach asymptotically the closed form solutions for fully developed ***,the present numerical results are validated with the existing solutions for pure thermal convection and are found to be in good agreement.

Pulmonary Toxicity of a Formulated Preparation of Fenvalerate in Rats Subchronically Exposed by Nose Only Inhalation for 90 Days

Objective The pulmonary toxicity of a commercially available formulated preparation of Fenvalerate (Fen), a synthetic pyrethroid has been studied in rats following subchronic nose only inhalation exposure route. Method Adult male rats were exposed to Fen for 4h/day, 5 days a week for 90 days by using Flow Past Dynamic Nose only Inhalation Chamber. Results Fen exposed rats showed a significant increase in enzymatic activities of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), acid phosphatase (ACP), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and γ-glutamyl transferase (γ-GT) which are considered as biochemical indicators of pulmonary damage. The concomitant histopathological examination of Fen exposed rats' lung revealed inflammatory changes viz., influx of mononuclear cells admixed with a few giant cells in alveolar lumen, hypetrophied bronchiolar and alveolar epithelial lining cells and presence of edematous fluid in alveolar lumen alongwith congested parenchymatous blood vessels. Conclusion These results for the first time indicate the pulmonary toxic effects of a commonly used formulated Fen preparation by using rat model and nose only inhalation as the route of exposure.

Heat and mass transfer analysis of an incompressible, laminar boundary layer over solar flat plate collector evapora- tion systems for tannery effluent (soak liquor) is investigated. The governing equations are solved for various liquid to air velocity ratios. Profiles of velocity, temperature and concentration as well as their gradients are presented. The heat transfer and mass transfer coefficients thus obtained are used to evaluate mass of water evaporated for an inclined fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) solar flat plate collector (FPC) with and without cover. Comparison of these results with the experimental performance shows encouraging trend of good agreement between them.

In this paper,a structural analysis is performed to gain insights on the synergistic mechanical amplification effect thatCampaniform sensilla have when combined in an array *** order to simplify the analysis performed in this preliminaryinvestigation,an array of four holes in a single orthotropic lamina is ***,a Finite Element Method(FEM) analysis is performed to discretely assess the influence that different geometrical parameters have on the mechanicalamplification properties of the ***,an artificial neural network is used to obtain an approximated multi-dimensionalcontinuous function,which models the relationship between the geometrical parameters and the amplification properties of ***,an optimization is performed to identify the geometrical parameters yielding the maximum mechanical ***,results are validated with an additional FEM simulation performed by varying geometrical parameters in theneighborhood of the identified optimal *** method proposed in this paper can be fully automated and used to solvea wide range of optimization problems aimed at identifying optimal configurations of strain sensors inspired by Campaniformsensilla.
