TAU is a microtubule-associated protein that promotes microtubule assembly and stability in the *** is missorted and aggregated in an array of diseases known as *** are essential for neuronal function and regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications,changes of which affect microtubule stability and dynamics,microtubule interaction with other proteins and cellular structures,and mediate recruitment of microtubule-severing *** impairment of microtubule dynamics causes neuronal dysfunction,we hypothesize cognitive impairment in human disease to be impacted by impairment of microtubule *** therefore aimed to study the effects of a disease-causing mutation of TAU(P301L)on the levels and localization of microtubule post-translational modifications indicative of microtubule stability and dynamics,to assess whether P301L-TAU causes stability-changing modifications to *** investigate TAU localization,phosphorylation,and effects on tubulin post-translational modifications,we expressed wild-type or P301L-TAU in human MAPT-kO induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neurons(i Neurons)and studied TAU in neurons in the hippocampus of mice transgenic for human P301L-TAU(p R5 mice).Human neurons expressing the longest TAU isoform(2N4R)with the P301L mutation showed increased TAU phosphorylation at the AT8,but not the p-Ser-262 epitope,and increased polyglutamylation and acetylation of microtubules compared with endogenous TAU-expressing neurons.P301L-TAU showed pronounced somatodendritic presence,but also successful axonal enrichment and a similar axodendritic distribution comparable to exogenously expressed 2N4R-wildtype-TAU.P301L-TAU-expressing hippocampal neurons in transgenic mice showed prominent missorting and tauopathy-typical AT8-phosphorylation of TAU and increased polyglutamylation,but reduced acetylation,of microtubules compared with non-transgenic *** sum,P301L-TAU results in changes in micr

As environmental concerns from fossil fuel consumption intensify, large-scale energy storage becomes imperative for the integration of renewable sources like wind, hydro, and solar with the electrical *** flow batteries, particularly those employing organic molecules, are positioned as a key technology for this purpose. This review explores the growing field of symmetric organic redox flow batteries(ORFBs) within this context. Unlike traditional asymmetric designs based on unique active materials for each electrode, symmetric ORFBs involve a single bipolar species for both electrodes. This review highlights the benefits of a symmetric design, and categorizes five distinct classes of organic bipolar molecules used in both aqueous and non-aqueous solvents. By providing a comprehensive overview of their cell cycling and performance characteristics, the strengths and weaknesses of the diverse categories of bipolar molecules are highlighted for both solvent systems, as are opportunities for future development. This should guide new research directions and advance the development of practical symmetric ORFBs.

To study soliton excitations in a polariton condensate with defects, we use the Gross-Pitaevskii equation and its hydrodynamic form. An extra term is added to take into account the non-equilibrium nature of the polariton condensate and the presence of defects. The reductive perturbation method transforms these hydrodynamic equations into a modified korteweg-de Vries equation in the long wavelength limit. We linearize this equation and study the soliton linear excitations. We give an analytic expression of traveling excitations using the variation of constants method. In the more general form, we show numerically that the excitations are oscillations simultaneously hut in an opposite way. i.e., the amplitude and the width of the dark soliton oscillate

Fabrication of stable,reproducible and reusable reference electrodes for low energy and high-temperature steam splitting is of great interest for hydrogen fuel production without anthropogenic carbon dioxide(CO2)*** study has been conducted for the detection of suitable material for the fabrication of novel reference *** the present scenario,this research is designed to fabricate a novel nickel reference electrode by using operating conditions of eutectic molten hydroxide(NaOH-kOH,49-51 mol%)at temperature 300℃in an ion-conducting membrane of alumina and mullite ***,the designed nickel reference electrode has been examined for its reusability and stability by using electrochemical technique and cyclic *** scans of cyclic voltammetry are performed for both membrane fabricated reference electrode.A slight positive shift in oxidation peaks is observed for mullite membrane electrode(64 mV from scan 1 to 5).The stability measurements are noted by changing the scan rate between 50 and 150 mV s−***,the results show that the Ni/Ni(OH)2 reference electrode covered with a mullite membrane is stable and reusable at 300℃temperature without any *** stability and reusability of prepared nickel reference electrode covered by mullite tube in the eutectic molten hydroxide were up to 9 days to carry out an electrochemical investigation,while for alumina tube reference electrode the stability and reliability were up to 3 *** internal electrolytic material and ionic conductance can play an important role for future studies with this reference electrode along with optimisation of temperature and scan rate parameters.

The BNT ceramic sample might be a good replacement for PZT piezoelectric in industrial applications,especially in energy harvesting from crystal *** order to enhance the performance of BNT ceramic,the solid solution was chosen by substitution with Ba+2 at Morphtropic Phase Boundary(MPB).The BNT-xBT powders with x=1,0.07,0.06 and 0 were prepared by the hydrothermal method with average particle size(65–150 nm)at(90℃/72 h).The ceramic disc was sintered at(1150℃/4 h)and showed excellent relative density of about 96%.The results of X-ray diffraction(XRD)confirmed the MPB for x=0:06 and 0.07,while the BNT had a rhombohedral structure and BT had a tetragonal *** dielectric measurements showed that BNT,BNT-7BT,BNT-6BT behave as the relaxator ferroelectric and showed a strong dependence on frequency,especially in the MPB region while BT behaves as a normal *** the Curie temperature and depolarization temperature decrease at the MPB region and showed strong dependency on frequency.

The dielectric ceramic of barium dititanate compound BaTi_(2)O_(5) had been prepared through the hydrothermal process by applying different parameters,such as pH-value,reaction time,temperature and *** prepared powders were examined by X-ray diffraction(XRD).The predominant phase was a monoclinic phase with lattice constants(a=16:6381,b=3:555,c=9:3406Å),(β=107:47°,α=γ=90°),and the unit cell volume(527Å^(3)).The surface morphology was demonstrated by Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM).It exhibited the grains in spherical and elliptical shapes with high *** shapes of nanostructure were analyzed by Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM).The appearance of nanostructures like the nanoparticles and nano rods were *** size of nanoparticles was in the range of 9–31 nm,and size of nanorods was 32–37 *** dielectric measurements were done by using LCR meter at different temperature and frequencies(10,50 and 100 kHz).It was clear that the Curie temperature had a high value up to(485℃).The relative permittivity was partially changed for two prepared samples regarding high pressure and long reaction time,which were the main preparation conditions of hydrothermal method.
