Background: Heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder with an estimated prevalence of 1/200 - 1/500 in the general population. Early identification of patient with familial hypercholesterolemia is important, because appropriate treatment may reduce the risk of premature atherosclerosis. Objective: Assessment of the prevalence of different modifiable cardiovascular risk factors and clinical diagnosis of heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. Methods: One hundred patients were enrolled, included young patients (males less than 50 years and females less than 60 years old) presented with first attack of acute coronary syndrome either ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), non ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) or unstable angina (UA). All patients were subjected to full history taking, general and local examination, Electrocardiogram, transthoracic Echocardiography, laboratory investigations, coronary angiography and Dutch score calculation for familial hyperlipidemias. This paper presents a fast adaptive iterative algorithm to solve linearly separable classification problems in R *** each iteration,a subset of the sampling data （n-points,where n is the number of features） is adaptively chosen and a hyperplane is constructed such that it separates the chosen n-points at a margin and best classifies the remaining *** classification problem is formulated and the details of the algorithm are ***,the algorithm is extended to solving quadratically separable classification *** basic idea is based on mapping the physical space to another larger one where the problem becomes linearly *** illustrations show that few iteration steps are sufficient for convergence when classes are linearly *** nonlinearly separable data,given a specified maximum number of iteration steps,the algorithm returns the best hyperplane that minimizes the number of misclassified points occurring through these *** with other machine learning algorithms on practical and benchmark datasets are also presented,showing the performance of the proposed algorithm.

Copper sulfide thin films are deposited onto different substrates at room temperature using the thermal evaporation technique. X-ray diffraction spectra show that the film has an orthorhombicchalcocite （7-Cu2S） phase. The atomic force microscopy images indicate that the film exhibits nanoparticles with an average size of nearly 44 nm. Specrtophotometric measurements for the transmittance and reflectance are carried out at normal incidence in a spectral wavelength range of 450 nm-2500 nm. The refractive index, n, as well as the absorption index, k is calculated. Some dispersion parameters are determined. The analyses of el and e2 reveal several absorption peaks. The analysis of the spectral behavior of the absorption coefficient, c~, in the absorption region reveals direct and indirect allowed transitions. The dark electrical resistivity is studied as a function of film thickness and temperature. Tellier＇s model is adopted for determining the mean free path and bulk resistance.

Predictors of renal angioembolization outcome:A retrospective analysis with 148 patients at a tertiary urology institute

Objective:The aim of this study was to evaluate the predictor of unsuccessful outcome of renal angioembolization(RAE).Knowing those predictors may help in avoiding unnecessary RAE procedures and their associated side effects,while helping to prepare for an alternate procedure and improving patient's overall ***:A retrospective analysis between January 2006 and December 2018 was performed,and the indications for RAE were classified into post-traumatic,iatrogenic,renal tumors,and *** who underwent RAE prior to nephrectomy were *** tomography angiography was performed in patients with normal renal function and those who had no contrast allergy,otherwise magnetic resonance angiography was *** the purpose of statistical analysis,we stratified patients into two main categories based on the final outcome—successful or ***:Of 180 patients,32 with negative angiography were eliminated,leaving 148 patients;136(91%)had successful outcomes after one or more trials and 12 had unsuccessful *** mean age was 45±15 years,and 105(71%)were *** gender,side of the lesion,presence of hematuria,indication for RAE,nor the type of lesion affected the *** the other hand,renal anatomy with presence of accessory artery was the only predictor to failed RAE(p=0.001).Failed RAE trial was a predictor for nephrectomy as a secondary procedure(p=0.03).Conclusion:No pre-procedural predictors could anticipate the RAE outcome,and different indications can be scheduled to RAE,which is equally *** presence of accessory renal artery on diagnostic angiography is the only factor that may predict the failure of the procedure.

Herein, the fabrication of cellulose acetate (CA) silica-based nanocomposite membranes via the dry-wetphase inversion procedure for water desalination was investigated. The modified and unmodified silicananoparticles (MSNPs and SNPs) were prepared by the sol-gel technique. The effect of the SNPs andMSNPs was investigated on the CA membrane's properties and their performance for water *** CA nanocomposite membranes were characterized to study their structure, hydrophilicity, andmorphology. The fabricated nanocomposite membranes showed hydrophilic surface properties. Theperformance of reverse osmosis (RO) membranes was measured using a crossflow RO unit at 10 bar(1 bar = 0.1 MPa). The membrane with 10 mg of SNPs enhanced permeate water flux compared to thepristine CA membrane by 1.6 L/(m2·h). The effect of MSNPs on the nanocomposites' performance waslower than their counterpart in the case of adding SNPs. The membrane with 30 mg of MSNPs showedthe highest permeate water flux among other nanocomposite membranes with a value oAQSf 35.7 L/(m2·h)at 24 bar.

In the literature,numerous techniques have been employed to decrease noise in medical image modalities,including X-Ray(XR),Ultrasonic(Us),Computed Tomography(CT),Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI),and Positron Emission Tomography(PET).These techniques are organized into two main classes:the Multiple Image(MI)and the Single Image(SI)*** the MI techniques,images usually obtained for the same area scanned from different points of view are used.A single image is used in the entire procedure in the SI *** denoising techniques can be carried out both in a transform or spatial *** paper is concerned with single-image noise reduction techniques because we deal with single medical *** most well-known spatial domain noise reduction techniques,including Gaussian filter,Kuan filter,Frost filter,Lee filter,Gabor filter,Median filter,Homomorphic filter,Speckle reducing anisotropic diffusion(SRAD),Nonlocal-Means(NL-Means),and Total Variation(TV),are ***,the transform domain noise reduction techniques,including wavelet-based and Curvelet-based techniques,and some hybridization techniques are ***,a deep(Convolutional Neural Network)CNN-based denoising model is proposed to eliminate Gaussian and Speckle noises in different medical image *** model utilizes the Batch Normalization(BN)and the ReLU as a basic *** a result,it attained a considerable improvement over the traditional *** previously mentioned techniques are evaluated and compared by calculating qualitative visual inspection and quantitative parameters like Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR),Correlation Coefficient(Cr),and system complexity to determine the optimum denoising algorithm to be applied *** on the quality metrics,it is demonstrated that the proposed deep CNN-based denoising model is efficient and has superior denoising performance over the traditionaldenoising techniques.
