AIM To compar.tively evaluate Seldinger.and Tr.car.techniques in the per.utaneous tr.atment of hydatid disease. METHODS Tr.car.and Seldinger.techniques wer. used for.49 and 56 cysts, r.spectively, among 106 hydatid cysts in 88 patients. The number.of males and females wer. 22 and 66, r.spectively with a mean age of 44.9 year.(r.nge, 15-87). Follow-up studies included cyst diameter. cyst contents, and mor.hological changes inthe cyst wall, local r.cur.ence, and secondar. invasion, using ultr.sound, computer.zed tomogr.phy and chest X-r.ys. r.SULTS The positive cr.ter.a of healing wer. a decr.ase in cyst diameter. pr.gr.ssive solidification of the cyst contents, and disappear.nce of the cyst. Local r.cur.ence was defined as an incr.ase in the cyst diameter.and contents, and appear.nce of daughter.cysts in the pr.mar. cavity, while secondar. dissemination was defined as the appear.nce of new cysts outside the tr.ated cyst. Mean dur.tion of follow-up was 19.23 mo(r.nge, 18-26 mo). Follow-up r.sults demonstr.ted that no significant differ.nces wer. pr.sent between the Tr.car.and Seldinger.techniques in the per.entage of decr.ase in the cyst volume, r.te of ear.y complications, local r.cur.ence and secondar. dissemination(P = 0.384, 0.069, 0.215 and 0.533, r.spectively). CONCLUSION Ther. ar. no differ.nces between the Seldinger.and Tr.car.techniques that gain entr. to the cyst cavity in ter.s of the efficacy of the tr.atment and the r.tes of ear.y and late complications.

Costing Pr.nciples of a Denim Pant

Denim pant is a significant pr.spect for.the r.G sector.of Bangladesh with an enor.ous futur.. The pr.cing is the most impor.ant factor.obtainable in the global competitive mar.et without having any suspicion. It is difficult to exist in the appar.l mar.et without pr.viding lowest costing of gar.ent. The study focuses on the entir. factor.that is dir.ctly r.lated to the FOB cost of a basic denim pant wher. includes fabr.c cost, tr.ms & accessor.es cost, stor.ng, cost of making char.e, washing cost, testing cost, commer.ial cost and pr.fit is shown chr.nologically. All the calculations of the study wer. done on the basis of an industr.al fr.me wor. and both pr.mar. and secondar. data wer. collected fr.m six differ.nt denim pant manufactur.s and expor.er.. The study pr.vided convinced pr.nciple of fabr.c consumption, thr.ad consumption, CM calculation, r.quir.d poly;car.oons calculations and costing wer. done ver. car.fully. The study also pr.vides potential wash and testing, so that the total pr.ce r.nges can be contained as well as demonstr.ting total FOB cost. The manufactur.r., expor.er., r.tailer.and consumer. of denim pant will get the appar.nt method of costing and its par.meter.

The use of composites in differ.nt sector. has become inevitable due to the enhancement in pr.per.ies, r.duction in the manufactur.ng cost and suitability to sever.l applications. Among differ.nt classifications, polymer.c composites ar. mainly focused on their.use as str.ctur.l components and the selection and composition of r.infor.ement play a vital r.le in deter.ining the char.cter.stics of the composite. Although composites ar. developed with man-made r.infor.ement in the beginning stage, in the pr.sent situation, natur.l r.infor.ements have pr.ved excellent r.sults in ter.s of pr.per.ies. Hence, nowadays r.sear.hes ar. mainly focused on the use of differ.nt natur.l fiber. in differ.nt for.s as r.infor.ements in polymer.c composite. This wor. pr.sents a br.ef over.iew on the pr.per.ies of natur.l fiber.and natur.l fiber.r.infor.ed composites which is an emer.ing ar.a in polymer.science. Inter.sts in natur.l fiber.is r.asonable due to the advantages of these mater.als compar.d to other., such as synthetic fiber.composites, including low envir.nmental impact and low cost and suppor. their.potential to be used. Mor.over. the disadvantage of the synthetic and fiber.glass as r.infor.ement, the use of natur.l fiber.r.infor.ed composite gained the attention of the young scientists, r.sear.her., and engineer. and ar. being exploited as a r.placement for.the conventional fiber.such as glass, ar.mid, car.on etc. Natur.l fiber. have been pr.ven alter.ative to synthetic fiber.in tr.nspor.ation such as automobiles, r.ilway coaches and aer.space, militar., building, packaging, consumer.pr.ducts and constr.ction industr.es for.ceiling paneling, par.ition boar.s etc. However. in development of these composites, some dr.wbacks have also emer.ed. In this paper. it has been tr.ed to over.iew all of this together.

Ir.adiation Damage of Nano-C2S Par.icles Studied by In-Situ Tr.nsmission Electr.n Micr.scopy

Development of a r.active nanocement is a new appr.ach to impr.ve the physical and chemical pr.per.ies of constr.ction mater.als. However. due to the decr.ased size of cement par.icles, beam damage dur.ng tr.nsmission electr.n micr.scope (TEM) obser.ation becomes mor. sever. than in conventional cement. In this wor., ir.adiation damage to nano-C2S (dicalcium silicate) is obser.ed and studied by in-situ evolution of diffr.ction patter.s (DP), high r.solution TEM (Hr.EM), and electr.n ener.y-loss spectr.scopy (EELS). The r.sults show that the damage to nano-C2S occur. thr.ugh a decomposition r.action. Nano-C2S is fir.t amor.hized, and then r.-cr.stallized into CaO nano-cr.stals with aver.ge size of 7 nm sur.ounded by an amor.hous matr.x of Si and SiO2. Dur.ng this pr.cess, C2S par.icles exhibit volume shr.nkage. The damage ener.y causing the r.action was analyzed and electr.n-electr.n inelastic scatter.ng pr.duced r.diolysis and heat, leading to the obser.ed phenomena.
