The efficient and effective application of fertilizers to crops is a major ***,constant rate or equal dose of fertilizer is applied to each *** rate fertilizer application across entire field can result in over or under incorporation of *** application is influenced by soil parameters as well as geographical variation in the *** nutrient management depends on selection of nutrient,application rate and placement of nutrient at the optimal distance from the crop and soil *** rate technology(VrT)is an input application technology that allows for the application of inputs at a certain rate,time,and place based on soil properties and spatial variation in the field or *** are two approaches for implementing VrT,one is sensor based and another is map *** sensor based approach;with suitable sensors,measures the soil and crop characteristics on-the-go calculating the amount of nutrients required per unit area/plant and micro controlling unit which uses suitable algorithms for controlling the flow of fertilizer with required amount of *** map based approach;Grid sampling and soil analysis are used to create a prescription *** to the soil and crop conditions,the microcontroller regulates the desired application *** sensor-based VrT system includes a fertilizer tank,sensors,GPS,microcontroller,actuators,and other components,whereas the map-based system does not require an on-the-go *** approaches of VrT for fertilizer application in orchards and field crops are reviewed in this *** use of this advance technology surely increases the fertilizer use efficiency;improve crop yield and profitability with reduced environment impacts.

Long-term outcomes of urethral balloon dilation for anterior urethral stricture: A prospective cohort study

Objective:To prospectively follow up a cohort of anterior urethral stricture disease patients managed with balloon dilation(BD)for 3 years to evaluate the long-term outcomes and to study factors that contribute to ***:This study included men who had urethral BD for significant anterior urethral stricture disease between January 2017 and March *** about the patient age,stricture characteristics,and recurrence date were recorded,along with information on postoperative indwelling catheter use and operative ***,information about the self-calibration procedure was collected and where available,free flow(FF)measurements during the follow-up period were recorded and *** was defined as a lack of symptoms and acceptable FF rates(maximum flow rate>12 mL/s).results:The final analysis was conducted on 187 *** mean follow-up period was 37 *** long-term overall success rate at the end of our study was 66.8%.Our recurrence rate was 7.4%at 12 months,24.7%at 24 months,and reached 33.2%at the end of our *** time to recurrence ranged from 91 days to 1635 days,with a mean of 670 *** stricture-free survival was significantly shorter with lengthy peno-bulbar(p=0.031)and multiple strictures(p=0.015),and in the group of patients who were not committed to self-calibration protocol(pr,post-procedural self-calibration was the most important factor that may have decreased the incidence of recurrence(odds ratioZ5.85).Adjuvant self-calibration after BD not only reduced the recurrence rate from 85.4%in the non-self-calibration group to 15.1%in the self-calibration one(proved the overall stricture-free survival and FF parameters.

Characterization of early maturing elite genotypes based on MTSI and MGIDI indexes:an illustration in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.)

Background Globally,the cultivation of cotton is constrained by its tendency for extended periods of *** maturity plays a potential role in rainfed-based multiple cropping system especially in the current era of climate *** the current study,a set of 20 diverse Gossypium hirsutum genotypes were evaluated in two crop seasons with three planting densities and assessed for 11 morphological traits related to early *** study aimed to identify genotype(s)that mature rapidly and accomplish well under diverse environmental conditions based on the two robust multivariate techniques called multi-trait stability index(MTSI)and multi-trait genotype-ideotype distance index(MGIDI).results MTSI analysis revealed that out of the 20 genotypes,three genotypes,viz.,NNDC-30,A-2,and S-32 accomplished well in terms of early maturity traits in two ***,three genotypes were selected using MGIDI method for each planting densities with a selection intensity of 15%.The strengths and weaknesses of the genotypes selected based on MGIDI method highlighted that the breeders could focus on developing early-maturing genotypes with specific traits such as days to first flower and boll *** selected genotypes exhibited positive genetic gains for traits related to earliness and a successful harvest during the first and second ***,there were negative gains for traits related to flowering and boll *** The study identified three genotypes exhibiting early maturity and accomplished well under different planting *** multivariate methods(MTSI and MGIDI)serve as novel approaches for selecting desired genotypes in plant breeding programs,especially across various growing *** methods offer exclusive benefits and can easily construe and minimize multicollinearity issues.

Comparative study of thulium fiber laser versus holmium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet laser for ureteric stone management with semi-rigid ureteroscopy: A prospective, single-center study

Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety of thulium fiber laser(TFL)and holmium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet(Ho:YAG)laser for ureteric stone management with semi-rigid ***:In a prospective study from January 2020 to December 2021,we compared 40 patients in each group who underwent semi-rigid ureteroscopic lithotripsy with TFL and that with Ho:YAG *** volume,stone density,stone fragmentation rates,total lasing time,total operative time,endoscopic vision,retropulsion and stone free rates were analyzed in both groups and ***:Mean stone volume was comparable in the TFL group and the Ho:YAG laser group(282.45[standard deviation,SD 139.79]mm3 vs.279.49[SD 312.52]mm3;p=0.964).Mean stone density was also comparable in the TFL group and the Ho:YAG laser group(1135.30[SD 317.04]Hounsfield unit vs.1131.75[SD 283.03]Hounsfield unit;p=0.959).The mean stone fragmentation rates calculated as stone volume divided by lasing time were 25.85(SD 10.61)mm3/min and 21.37(SD 14.13)mm3/min in the TFL group and the Ho:YAG laser group,respectively(p=0.113).The mean total lasing time(10.15[SD]4.69 min vs.11.43[SD 4.56]min;p=0.222),mean operative time(25.13[SD 9.51]min vs.25.54[SD 10.32]min;p=0.866),and mean total hospital stay(2.62[SD 0.77]days vs.2.61[SD 0.84]days;p=0.893)were comparable in the TFL group and in the Ho:YAG *** vision was better and retropulsion was less in the TFL *** stone-free rate at 1 month postoperatively was slightly better in the TFL group(100%vs.90%;p=0.095).

Laboratory investigation of compaction characteristics of fresh and degraded municipal solid waste

com-pacted MSW increases the placement efficiency and thus reduces the space requirement for *** composition of MSW,degradation,and compactive efforts are the key factors that control the compaction characteristics of *** paper presents the laboratory investigation of compaction characteristics of fresh and aged MSW at a wide range of compactive *** MSW(S_(1)),Windrows sample(S_(2))of an age of 2 months,5-year-old MSW(S_(3)),10-year-old MSW(S_(4)),and 15-year-old MSW(S_(5))were collected from the working phase of the solid waste management site,Vilholi Nasik,(MH)*** was carried in 1000 mL capacity mold under four different energy levels,i.e.,552(E_(1)),1125(E_(2)),2682(E_(3)),and 5364(E4)kJ/m^(3).The results showed that the maximum dry density(γ_(dmax))was observed less in the S_(1)sample at the standard compactive *** the age of the sample increase from fresh to 5 years,γ_(dmax)was more with lesser optimum moisture content(w_(opt))because of the completion of the biodegradation *** further change in compaction characteristics was observed once the biodegradation process was *** study shows that the particle size of MSW gets reduced as the age of the sample *** reduces the particle size of MSW is one of the contributing factors to increasingγ_(dmax).When compactive energy is changed from E_(1)to E4 theγ_(dmax)increased and w_(opt)decreased for all the samples.A normalized w_(opt)and compaction energy correlation is proposed in this *** correlation can get compaction characteristics of fresh and aged MSW at any compactive effort.
